Hello,I was looking through all the previous threads regarding the installation of the 9.1 patch and FSUIPC 3.411 (I am always reluctant to install new patches as the way I see it if it ain't broke, don't fix it). I have read, however, that FS 9.1 patch can significantly increase FPS, but there was so much grief by so many PMDG users that the FS 9.1 patch will have serious negative effects on the game, and FSUIPC 3.411 is bluntly just not compatible with PMDG. So should I install this stuff to my computer, or wait until another patch is released. Any comments greatly appreciated. Thanks.~Darren Nolan

EDIT: Since posting the query below, I've recalled that the MGTOW for the 700 is incorrect in the manual(?). According to the Load Manager it should be 153,500 lbs. While that improves the situation, more than 40% of the weights in the table are not permissible, including 7 or the 11 Climb Limit weights. So, my questions stands.Drawn by the snappy title, eh? :-)Well, anyway, here's my query:Given that the Max Gross Takeoff Weight for the 700 series is 133,000 lbs(see section 4-8), I find it difficult to make sense of the takeoff limit weights given in the Runway Length Limit Weight Table(Section 1-9)? Only about 25% of the specified weights in the body of the table are un…

Could one of you experts please tell me how to set the QNH in millibars please, I often see it in weather reports and unless it's given in inches I'm afraid i'm a bit hazy as to how you set it. I notice that when you change the inches setting the QNH stays at 1013. Thanks. Lee

Hi All,I downloaded Pete Pitman's 100 real world flight plans into the Flight Simulator 9PMDGFLIGHTPLANS' folder. However, when I look into the FMC's Nav Data>Flt Plans sections, I see nothing. Also when I write the flight plan name such as ENGMLPMAPP and upselect it into the company route page of the FMC, it doesnt recgonize it. Also, my earlier .rte saved plans, I erased for the PMDGFLIGHTPLANS folder, but I still see those in the Flt Plans page of the FMC...what's going on? Any help will be great! Please help.THanks,-Pranav

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I found a fairly easy way to add the Reality-XP weather radar to the Virtual Cockpit of the PMDG 737. I replaced the chronometer.Am I allowed to post (not upload of course) the modifications to the panel.cfg file? Does anyone care? Here is what it looks like:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/97592.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/97593.jpgApologies if someone else has already done this.

Dear PMDG fans, I get something confused. A/T could switch on on the ground if I just install the 737 600/700 V1.3. It doesn't work When I have installed 737 800/900,then SU1,then Model Update. The warning light is illuminated. Anybody get the same problem? Sorry for bad english skill.

Hi guys its an amazing aircraft really realistic my departure was perfect crz was fun and went well approach and landing was very hard i have over 2700 flight hours with flight sim and this was my 1st flight ever with the 737 let me tell you i was busy.It started off that i seemed to be coming in to fast i did not feel like my spoilers worked at all anyway in the mean time the fmc gave me a few mssgs stating that i had no vref set and that my Ils nav was wrong when i was 100% sure of it, i did put it in nav 1. End result hard landing, visual since my ils did not connect and auto brake and reverse thrust went well to slow me down until the end of the runway. Thank god the…

I didn't get any response from my last post so I'll re-phrase the question.Flying the 737, I was ligned up on 09L at Heathrow for takeoff. When I looked at the central map display the runway graphic was at a slight angle approx 10 degs from my current heading even though my 737 was perfectly aligned with the runway. Is this normal or have I got a setting wrong somewhere. I have installed the latest AIRAC and SID/STAR files. It happens at all airfields.Glen Coyne

What factors would prevent the CRT screen in the PMDG to display? Someone I'm trying to help is having problems. He's made sure the avionics is on and his other airline add-ons work, he went through a start-up guide I made, and nothing seems to be lighting his CRTs? What could be the potential causes? Thanks in advance.

What is the main reason most people use other flight planners? The reason i ask is because i'm debating between 2 of them fs9 or fsbuild but can't understand the importance or impact it would have on the fmc. I was able to configure both so the fmc can read them but now i don't know which plan to fly, they are both different but all that matters in the end is the arrival airport. One thing i must say that i noticed is that the fs9 flight plans seem to fly a straight line even with vor to vor type of plan. I don't use direct gps because it doesn't seem realistic but then again i may be wrong. Please let me know i'm curious!

Hello friends :)Two questions![1]Could you NG737 drivers please give me some tips on flying a good ILS approach!? I make sure to set up my approach about 15 miles out. I capture the localizer and glideslope and manage to nail them for about 30 seconds or so.....and then the ride begins! My virtual passengers run out of air-sickness bags when I fly the ILS...I cant keep it nailed :( I go under the GS...then over it....then I lose the localizer....if I could trace my approach on graph paper it would look like a snake :(Im a casual flier on FS9 and to be honest I got the PMDG plane because of its cool exterior model, gobs of airline colours & nice cockpit views - but I a…

I bought the 600/700 a week or so ago...great plane! I plan on going to the 800/900 soon too. But, for the life of me, I can't find any rudder or aileron trim? Surely there is rudder/aileron trim in the NG'sMike

Hi folks!Moved up to FS9 and PMDG. What a rush!! Anyway I've searched this forum for answers on how PMDG737 handles key assignments. I'm convinced that I will be able to do what I want but have to ask to be sure:Will use Opencockpits IOCard to generate inputs/outputs and in that regard I wondered if the following commands is supported through FSUIPC:Gear Up/DownGear AnnounciatorsSpoiler ArmSpoiler DeployAutobrakeParking BrakeStrobe On/OffTaxi On/OffInboard On/OffThanx

I wish to thank everyone who helped me sort out the troubles with my SIDSTAR files. I have uploaded new versions of Kelowna, BC (CYLW) and Abbotsford, BC (CYXX). These can be downloaded from www.navdata.at. If you find anything wrong with these files, please drop me a line on this thread.Kelowna has recently been assigned new runway numbering. The latest AIRAC reflects this, although FS2004 still shows the old numbering on the actual pavement. Abbotsford now has an RNP approach (like Kelowna's) which will soon be used by local airlines. These procedures work well, but might give you some issues on the missed approach. Please tell me what you think.Happy Flying!!!Ro…

Here is a way for ATC to reconize as just a "Beech 1900". Put B190 in both the ATC type & ATC Model, in the aircraft cfg file, and you will get pointed out as just a Beech 1900. Putting B190 in just the type and ATC won't call you anything. Leaving type blank, then you become an "experimental". But B190 in both makes you a Beech 1900!Rick

A perfect flight KBFI-KLAX goes bad when suddenly the aircraft slows down by itself to a scary slow speed and then decides to accelerate and overspeed. Left alone, the slow down and accelerate to overspeed pattern repeasts over and over again. The aircraft was cruising perfectly for over an hour on VNAV and LNAV at FL330 when the anomaly started.http://www.kerke.us/avsim/pmdg/slow.jpghttp://www.kerke.us/avsim/pmdg/overspeed.jpgAny ideas why this may have happened?Thank you in advance,Kerke---
