This is such a basic question it must have been answered before but I can't find it in a search nor in the manuals.What is the max cruise ALT for each of the 737 variants modeled?The manuals give tables to calculate fuel but stop at FL370, is this the ceiling for the various 737NG's?TaDave

I understand when an "A" appears in the IAS box at Take Off it means that the aircraft cannot achieve the called for speed, but the question is why does this happen and how can it be prevented..??I have made many successful flights with the 737-700 series, but now that I have graduated to the 800, 900 series I seem to constantly get the "A" along with series of loud clicking noises, all of which precede fatal loss of power. I have read the PMDG NORMAL PROCEDURES document, GO-AROUND PROCEDURE EXPLAINED. I have also searched this forum for information on proper go-around procedure.I understand that if you are on a one channel approach it is normal for the A/P to disengage when you push the TO/GA button. What would be the correct GA procedure if on an NDB approach (in VNAV/LNAV mode), intending to fly the missed approach in LNAV mode? Here is my best guess. Even though I have the option set in FSUIPC to limit the icing to 3, I still experience my airspeed showing 0 kts in some situations. I have the latest FSUIPC, the pitot heat and engine heat is also on. Is anyone else seeing this?

Hi,I have a few questions regarding the PMDG's (600-900) systems.1) Could someone clarify the operation of the isolation valve? I've been told it should be closed before cockpit acceptance, then positioned to auto after the packs have been switched on. Also, should it be open after shutdown?2) Also on the subject of a/c, how many packs should be in operation before start? I've heard that only one is necessary.3) In PMDG's checklists, the APU fire handle should be up during the exterior pre-flight inspection. Doesn't this kill the APU? All went well i was set up for the Ils and all of a sudden i get this error'invalid nav error' app was selected and then i wasn't able to turn it on again with neither cmd A or B. Please help me on setting up an ILS. Thank you!!!

I noticed the thread on top mentioning that new users should get the sid/star file right away after installing the aircraft but the sid star file is already there when you install, ichecked them and there the same ones, as far as the airac exe file is it that important to update and what exactly is it used for? The reason I ask is because I'm trying to solve an Fmc error listed in another thread here about 'nav Ils error' that I feel may be due to one of these updates.

Hello thereHope everyone here is doing okay, my first post in a while.Just one question for you?At what times must aircraft operate their strobe lights. I heard that they are not aloud to operate in clouds but this can't be true as the other day on the approach into Manchester with low cloud and very low visibility I saw several aircraft operating their strobe lights. I know that they have them switched on during night time hours but as stated what other times must aircraft operate their strobe lights?RegardsJason

Hi,Does anyone know of a freeware program/utility that can convert .rte flightplans to FS9 format (.pln)? I do have a program called pln2rte but I like to find a program able of doing it the other way around.Reason I ask is I bought Active Sky and I would like to be able to load my PMDG flightplans into it and as far as I know it only accepts FS9's default format (.pln)Would greatly appreciate any hints!

Hello all,I just installed and patched the base package and the expansion pack for the PMDG 737 but I'm having a problem. Both the Captain Outboard Display and the Captain Inboard Display have analog looking gauges. I have installed the latest GDI+ btw. Compare the following 2 pics:The 1st one is the one I captured from FS9. The 2nd one is from a pic in the review that AVSIM wrote for PMDG 737.What seems to be the problem? Hallo Avsimmers :)When I want a quick no-brainer flight I use the FMC on the PMDG 737 to input departure & destination airport information - thats it. When used in this simple fashion can the FMC display landing speed?Or do you have to go through *all* the detailed data-input steps before a flight to get it to display that figure when the time comes to land?Many thanks :)

OK, I've just completed my first ever PMDG repaint...and it is of myfavorite band.....IRON MAIDEN! :)I've attached an image of it and need your opinion on it. I recently repainted the 737-700 and when i load the a/c in FS9 the game crashes. For some reason I cant get it to load. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a question for the developers...and this is coming off the heels of the release of the PSS Concorde and their ability to save the settings of everything during flight. Is there a possibility of this ever being achieved with the 737NG? I don't get a chance to fly for more than an hour over lunch times most days, but would love to fly some longer legs, delivery flights, etc and of course saving the flight is one thing, but the FMC is a totally different option. Any comments from the developers?
