I just installed the wonderful PMDG 737NG into FS9. Everything works beautifully except for a display problem in the autopilot section. The numbers in the (IAS/MCH, ALT, etc) windows look horrendous. It looks more like a number tape than LCD readout. #8 and #0 look like solid rectangles. I have seen many screen shots of this panel on Avsim, so I know this is not normal. This same problem happened when I installed it in FS2002. When I installed 737NG into FS9, update 1.3 was aleady included. Any tips?

Hi,I downloaded the update pack for FS 9, after I install it, I get the FSUIP not compatible message and thereafter, I get the message, I can't run the flight sim, it closes. I've never used FSUIP, I have no idea about it, what am I supposed to do here...download the latest version? which version? download and do what? where from?Lastly, I need to post some screen shots....how does one capture them from MSFS?Thanks,Pranav

Hi,I know this may seem like a trivial question, but it's an important one nevertheless. At what point should the gear be extended. According to the PMDG manual, it's when the GS is active, which tends to be quite far out. I've heard in other guides that it should be around 5nm from the threshold.James

Dear PMDG pilots and forum users,I apologize if this has already been posted but I have searched extensively and found nothing regarding this Problem. ( I was able to solve alot already reading different posts). As the title states I have a Problem with my ETA and Fuel remaining prediction in the FMC.On a flight from Greece to Egypt (about 1000NM) and I think everything in the FMC set correctly , the FMC did not give me a Fuel and ETA Prediction. It stated my fuel at my destination was 0.0 .Usually you're supposed to see the ETA on all your waypoints on the ND but none at all are displayed. On the "Progress" page of the FMC only distances are displayed- no fuel, no eta.Doe…

How can I get the FS9 Air Traffic Controller (ATC) to reconize the flight plan I loaded via the 737Ng FMC?At present I can only get the ATC to assign a departure runway, and when nearing the destination airport, I can request landing permission from the ATC. I have been unable to get the ATC to follow my FMC flight plan and guide me throughout the fligt.Thanks. Stanner

HiI got the PMDG 737 600/700 base pack on CD a month or so ago (latest version)and was so impressed I decided to get a new PC to run it well. Since getting the new machine however I cannot get it to run well.PC (basically)3.2Ghz XP CPU 400MHz FSB, 1 GB DDR 400 RAM, WIN XP home SP2, Gigabyte Mobo with nvidia force2 chipset, 80 S-ATA 7200 rpm drive, Nvidia FX5900XT 128Mb AGP(driver6693)- ok so the PC is up to the job.Have several fans and so cooling problems are very unlikely.Have MS FS2K2 pro (FSUIPC 2974)and FS9.1 (FSUPIC 3411) with no CD patchBoth sims run very well as you would expect from this system spec, apart from the PMDG which will locks up or takes ages to load,s…

On my last flight the FMC was showing an estimated time at my destination which was one hour later than all other way points, and obviously incorrect. This error was adjusted by the FMC when I passed a fix which was just after ToD. ETA to all fixes prior to the "fix in question" were spot on time for all the flight. Any suggestions so I can fine tune a bit?Dave

hi!i've got another problem which i havn't found in the forum yet: after I have reinstalled my FS9(.1) all the PMDG displays and the FMC stay black although i can start a completely normal engine startup procedure.Almost the same configuration is installed at FS2002 and it works there without a problem...Back to FS9: The problem is the same at 600/700 and 800/900. I've installed Service Update 2, then the 1.2 -> 1.3 and the 800/900. And even if i check after every step of that installations, the problem cannot be solved. After every single state of installation they're black. zack :/Another problem is, that he tells me, that the PMDGoptions.DLL is not a valid prior ver…

HelloI have just now purcased the 737 800/900. I have the 737 600/700 installed, but I get a message when I run the 737 800/900 installer like "you have to install the 737 600/700 first". What is the problem? I have another catalogue structure in my harddisk and my fs2004 is located under C:gamesfs9fs2004. I assume the problem is that the installer can't detect where my 737 600/700 is. How can I resolve this?Thank you for your tips........

Hello thereI bought the 737NG about a year ago and still have the install files for version 1.2 (I backed them up to a CD). The Windows 2000 installation that FS9 was installed on became corrupted and, having finally repaired the machine after 10 months installing Windows XP Pro, I need to reinstall FS9 and my other add-ons, including the 737NG.As far as I can gather, I can install FS9, then install 737NG v1.2, and then install SU1.3 over the top of it, giving me an up to date installation of the NG.Is this correct? I recall that there was some issue around on-line product activation with one of my add-ons at one point. Is there anything that I need to be aware of?Tha…

Shortly after loading a PMDG 737, while still on the runway without having touched the throttles, sometimes the buzzer begins and I can't stop it. This doesn't happen every time.(Normally I get the buzzer when opening the throttle with the brake on. On releasing the brake the buzzer stops.)The buzzer continues even after loading another aircraft and only stops when I exit FS9.Any tips to solve this one please?Cliff

I just do not get this; last week I disabled my on-board soundcard and game-port then installed an Audigy Soundblaster soundcard with gameport and suddenly all my planes now have immaculate control and my frames have improved. Before this, as soon as I disconnected the ap, the planes were taking a big nose dive and I was having to trim up in big gobfuls.I am perplexed, but quite pleased.Everyone's a greaser.

Hi,In the PMDG checks and procedures I read that all fuel pumps should be switched on prior to APU (which is started right before engine start) and engine start. Now, I've read elsewhere that the left wing pump should be on before APU start (to feed the APU), and the other pumps are activated right before each engine start (so, when starting engine 2, only the aft and fwd pumps for engine 2 should be activated, and the same for engine one). What I'm trying to ask is should all of the pumps be on before starting anything, or should I activate them as each engine and the APU is started? Thanks. :)James A

Okay, judge for yourself. Here are samples from the sim:T/O http://www.iseeinyouthesamefearthatwouldta...com/737/t-o.mp3LND http://www.iseeinyouthesamefearthatwouldta...com/737/lnd.mp3Note: this is with my own ground roll sound mod, dampened GPWS call outs and default flaps sound. 39% engine 80% environment. My main gripe is with the very weak ground roll and trust reversers.

Hello,I have searched this question before posting. I wish to add soft constraints to my existing SIDSTAR files. I understand that "A" and "B" are used, but where do I write that into the code? Here is an example of my "hard" procedure. I need to know where the A's and B's get inserted.TRANSITION YKA NAVAID YKA FIX TOSUS 7800 SPEED 200Would I put an "A" immediately following the "7800" so that it would read "cross TOSUS at or above 7800"?Roger P.

Hoping that PMDG will keep developing on the 737, and make it even better, I have a suggestion. I mainly keep from flying at night, not because I'm scared of the dark - no - it's because I can't see my switches on the overhead panel. I think they have come a long way of making realistic night lighting for the 737, but I also think that there is room for improvement. After having looked at some pictures over at airliners.net and videos I have seen that in the real overhead all the switches have little lights "underneath" so as to light it up and this way you know in which position and where the switch is.I have linked to a picture from airliners so you can see what I mean.…
