Im sorry if this has been asked a million times before. Anyway im sure everyone is aware that there are quite a few top notch developers that will be releasing a free FSX compatibility patch for there products and i was wondering if PMDG will be doing the same or if they're still going to charge money for the 747 patch?

Hi ya guys,im having a little problem whenever i select a PMDG 747-400 aircraft my flight simulator crashes to desktop and i dont know why, i have never come across this problem before. Hi AllI hope there is someone who can advise on this issue that I have.I have 2 Nvidia 7800GTX SLI graphic cards installed. When I go to my settings in the Nvidia control panel to up my settings, Antialiasing and anistropic filtering from application controlled to the cards control, load up FS9 and something like PMDG 747 or another company's 777. After a few moments I get split views in analogue and eventually VC panels and my sub panels are outside the main panels. When I take my settings off and re-load FS9 these are fine but Scenery airports like Gatwick pro or Heathrow pro and the likes my runway markings and distant buildings seem to have a flashing effect but not w…

Hi,I all invite you to test my First Officer seat for the payware 737NG from PMDG. You will need the 737NG to be installed on your system for this mod to work.It is based on Steward HAWORTH work. Modification includes reworked main panel background bmp and many other features.I'm looking to create a dual panel Cpt / FO but I need the help of a gauge guru who could create a gauge with hidden clickspots to change from panel to panel. I know different airlines have different SOPs but i'd love to see some examples: What is the distance and/or altitude by which you have to be established on the glide slope/localizer before having execute a go around? Derived from FAA NACO Digital Terminal Procedures charts and the Digital Aeronautical Information CDROM for cycle 0608 (3-30 Aug 06). STARs are enumerated for direction of landing (e.g., use ZIGGY4.W landing rnwys 26L/R). All procedures are included (4-DPs 2-STARs & 10 IAPs). The readme and text header in the procedure file includes DP & STAR charts to support route selection.

Hey all,Before you lay into me about why the effects are like that, dont worry, i have read the FAQ's and i know.But i was wondering if a cure could be devised. a 'workabround' that would allow the effects to work properly (and make happy users)What if the effects files were programmed to start where the engine is. In other words: the engine position is exactly where it is now, however when the sim reads the effects files, they are positioned X amount in either direction.Is this possible?Has the idea been suggested?Am i just being stupid?Should you really awnser these questions?I dont know. Is there a chart or standardized procedure for loading cargo onto the 744F? I mean, for a given total cargo weight, how does one know how much to put on the main deck, and how much in the lower cargo bays? More importantly, when the main deck is only partially filled, would you cluster as much as possible in the center of the plane, or spread it out evenly from front to back?Andrew

Hi All,Two questions.........I seem to recall that I read a string of posts some time ago regarding strange noises that suddenly start while flying 747-400. They are annoying squeals/screeches that come over the top of the normal audio (cockpit wind noise/engine noise etc) and can sometimes last a few minutes. In my situation, this noise starts when I go to an external view and then back to normal 2D view - the noise will usually, but not always, go away after I grab an external view again. Hi guys (PMDG),for my repaints I use Paint Shop Pro 7.I never had a problem opening the PSD files in the paintkits.In the paintkit for the 1900C I can open all the files except beech1900c_fullsides.psd. When I try to open this file with PSP7 I get an error. There seems to be a layer that is not compatible.Is there any chance that you could make that PSD file compatible with PSP7?I have a repaint request from John for a 'John Deere' scheme, but as I can't use that PSD I'm not able to do that repaint.So it would be great if you could help me.CheersThomas

Hi folks,I'm having a wierd issue with my 744F. The Polar Air Cargo livery is somehow inhibiting me from using the TO/GA function assigned to my X-52 joysitck through FSUIPC.I know this sounds bizzare, but, I have tested this pretty thoroughly. I have asigned the TO/GA command to a keyboard button via PMDG's interface and then then assigned the key press to my joystick through FSUIPC. It works fine on all other liveries that I have tested, but any time I load the Polar Air Cargo livery, this one command consistently fails to work. If I press the assigned command on the keyboard, it works fine. I have tried assigning the command to other buttons on the stick but none …

I tried posting this on the main board, but got no response so I thought I would give it a shot here. I had not noticed this until I decided to install some third party liveries, but I noticed that my FS9.confg file is not where it should be (i.e. in the C:/Documents and Settings/user name/Application Data folder. In fact, there is no Application Data folder at all. This is a brand new machine with Windows XP media edition. My FS2004 is patched to version 9.1. FS2004 runs just fine, so the fiel must be somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it. I looked in the FS9 folder as well. Any ideas?ThanksAndrew

I had a computer problem recently that meant I had to reinstall FS2004 and my PMDG 737. I am now having trouble with the latest EBBR SID's from the NavData website. I have downloaded the latest EBBR Procedure Ver 18 by Simon Butler but when I select the DENUT 3C SID my FMC says that the sid is not complete and there is a discontinue. It looks like there is a big gap in the sid when I look at my display.Also can anyone tell me if the DENUT 3C has replaced the DENUT 2C? I fly with Vatsim and Brussels VACC is still issuing a DENUT 2C departure? Thanks guys for any help!

Hello World, Inorder to get a more accurate fuel plan for my flight with the PMDG 744 where can I get aloft wind speed and direction for over the South Atlantic? Im flying from KJFK to Cape Town South Africa and want to know the aloft wind speed and direction. I went to NOAA.gov but cannot seem to find weather for that region.Marc B.

I AM TOTALLY AMAZED BY THIS BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED SIMULATION. I TRIED OUT AN ENGINE FIRE OVER THE ATLANTIC WITH SUBSEQUENT ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND DRIFT DOWN. HOWEVER I COULDN'T ACTIVATE OR EXECUTE THE FMC ENGINE OUT PAGE ON MY COMPUTER. IS THIS MY COMPUTER PLAYING SILLY GAMES OR DOES THE SIMULATION LEAVE THIS FUNCTION OUT?
