Gents,I just found out that the 747 Cargo version has some improvements compared to the passenger version. I am thinking of the FMC system. Does this justify an upgrade from the passenger version I am currently flying?I am not particular interested in cargo flying but if its a better and improved simulation model I will buy it.Thanks and regardsKjetil

Hello Everyone.......I am having problems with my PMDG aircraft.... I will install it but when I play on the flight sim the game will unload?? Its hard to describe but the Flights, World etc.. menu bar would unload itself after 10 - 15 minutes and if i press ctrl+alt+del the screen will go black and make the windows xp error noise. I have to hold down the power button to get use of the system again!! This happens with the 747 "Queen of The Sky's" and 737NG...... I have no other problems with my FS9... so i think its something to do with the aircraft not liking the flightsim setup but im not sure..... I have that problem were you cannot turn on the auto throttle but then i saw that you have to switch on the GEN switches, that worked for me on the 737 - 800 but it wont let me switch them on on the 737 - 900, helpSteven

Hi everyone. I would like to ask anyone favour and talented to add winglets on default China Airlines 737-800. China Airlines has recently installed winglets on their -800. I would like to add winglets but I am a dammy with repaints and I do not have any paint program. Thank you !

I just added a second 19" CRT to my main system - I want to be able to drag things like the FMC, radio stack, lower EICAS DU etc on our 747 over to it while keeping the main panel view on the left monitor.The problem is that when I do this, my mouse pointer starts flashing like crazy when I move it and things disappear on the 2nd one when I go to fullscreen mode (I move them over to the right monitor in Windowed mode, then switch to full screen after they're over there - the FMC mainly is disappearing after I do this...Anyone successfully using this sort of setup without these problems? My card is a 7800GTX w/ latest drivers...Thanks!

Hi all,I am in the early stages of scoping / developing a takeoff performance calculator for the PMDG 744. This will be an all-purpose calculator that will determine things like adjusted and corrected V-speeds, takeoff limitations (ie requirement for packs on/off, whether the runway is sufficient etc...) and allowable assumed temperature derates.It will then generate a takeoff certificate with all the relevant info for you to then use in programming the FMC prior to departure.My intention is to release it as freeware, provided that I do not incur any costs in acquiring any of the neccesary data or software development tools. When following the Normal Procedures during preflight, in the Cabin Altitude Section, one finds the following step:LANDING ALTITUDE SWITCH - AUTOHowever, on the overhead panel, the landing altitude switch is actuall a small metal pushbutton. The button can be in or out, but there is no indication there of which of these two settings is "Auto". Does anyone know the answer?Andrew

Greetings all,Today I tried to fly from KRNO-KLAX on the -700. I programmed the FMC as I normally would, with a cruise altitude of FL370, and had approx 12000 lbs of fuel (a bit high, but it was a VATSIM event and I was prepared for possible enroute holds). I noticed during the climb the indicated airspeed was unusually low, perhaps 160kts or so, all the way up to the planned cruising altitude. I tried both Vnav and speed override on the MCP, but it didnt really change anything. I went with Vnav hoping the problem would clear up. Then, I went right thru the FL370 ceiling although the altitude indicator on the MCP was showing 370. At this point I was up and down, with the …

HiI am using the PMDG 737 800/900 and need some information relating to the use of the Altitude Range Arc. ie. The green arc that appears on the ND showing where the A/C will reach the altitude selected in the MCP.I am not sure what triggers the appearance of the Arc which is not visible all the time.I would like to use it to assist with flying non precision approaches, for example established on final I would like to select airfield elevation in the MCP and adjust the V/S on the MCP positioning the arc over the runway threshold giving me an indication of the rate of descent required for the approach.My problem is that the Arc will not always appear when I need it.What tr…

Anyone out there know why PMDG flight plans from the Avsim library contain no departures or approaches when the FMC is openened up?I have tried several from diff people.Alternatvely ,are there any complete flight plans out there that can be loaded into PMDG flight plans. When we insert V2 in the SPD window of the MCP for takeoff in the NG or 744, what does this do? Does it guide the Flight Director silently even with the SPD button not active on takeoff and climbout?Jonathan

I just purchased PMDG 744 and love it so much but while i fly, alot of the time a loud bell comes on and wont go off. I have looked over all the systems and can't seem to find anything wrong. No warning lights flash or anything. Can some one help me out.

Hello ppl!Just a joystick issue... may be.... with a Saitek 3D FFB stick:>> AP climb profile is maintained. No problems w/ AP or AT maintaining determined profile.>> Upon reaching cruise the speed climbs up conveniently to over speed & does not decelerate to hold CRZ profile. Moving the THR slider on the joystick does bring it down. But I tried configuring & re-configuring w the latest drivers but doesnt solve the issue.Any help much cppreciated!- Jay

I've now spent about a month flying the B1900 C and D simulations which are, in general, excellent. As reviewers have noted,the B1900 is a representative commuter aircraft and much fun to fly---hence its success. A couple of comments though:1. The 1900D 2D panel (based in the FS9 King Air) is not nearly as satisfactory in most respects as the 1900C. The only 1900C's main drawback is that all the A/P functions are on the throttle quadrant, which must be brought up for climb/descent instructions. Ideally, a new "D" would combine the C's panel with the A/P functions squeezed in under the A/P annunciator.2. For some reason, while the "C" has a functioning OAT guage,the "D" do…

I am getting this message when starting MSFS 2004. The Century of Flight window is displayed and the PMDG AIRAC data loading is under way, when the error message is displayed. Replying 'OK' causes MSFS 2004 to end without any further explanation.Help, please?

Hi, could anyone explain when you would use the In Flight Thrust modes on the N1 limit page of the FMC ? There's a GA, Continuous, Climb and Cruise mode but isn't this taken care of by the autothrottle ? Would you ever use these buttons ?Thanks in advance
