    Question about the approach. When I use the APP on the MCP it will line up the plane with the runway but then it shuts off. I'm using the 737-900. It used to work just fine. Both autopilots are still working.Thanks,Roger

  2. Hey guys, I just remeber reading somewhere that the 737s are supposed to always have a minimum of 500 lbs in the center fuel tank to avoid having an empty tank full of hazardous fuel vapor. I would like someone to confirm to me whether this informaiton is accurate. If it is, does that mean that I should always have 500 lbs of exta fuel in there even if I am on very short flights where only the wing tanks are enough to hold all my fuel? One thing is to use up the fuel in center tank first and close the tank valves once it reaches 500 lbs. Another thing would be to load up 500 lbs of fuel in the center tank when only wing tank fuel suffices. It doesn't make any sense to me,…

    Latest upload to AVSIM FS2004-Flight Plans and NAVData libraries, I have taken the current (Cycle 0609) procedures I developed several months ago and added transitions between STARS and approaches to use in lieu of ATC vectors. Both KAYOH.19R & TANDY.19R provide realistic routing from the approach gate to the final approach fix based on actual ground tracks observed at flightaware.The default approach from the East (KAYOH) was very difficult to fly because they keep you high (due to the Santa Ana mountains) followed by a steep descent to the approach.     Hey everyone,last night i flew PANC-CYVR in the -900.four miles out on finals for ILS/DME 26L I switch off the A/P and A/T and continue manually.For some reason my elevators fail to respond...all other controls work as normal, had to control pitch and descent with throttles only...In the VC I could see the yoke moving forward and backward relative to the movement of my joystick but no response from the aircraft elevators...In the 3 yrs i've been flying the NG this has never happened before.     Last night I flew from Melbourne to Adelaide in Australia and saved the flight via "rte copy" as ymmlypad003. When on the next day I tried to enter that flight into the "co flight" box it entered the departure airport ok but not the destination and no flightplan or magenta line was displayed in the FMC. Can anyone help with this?Gerry

    I have owned the 737 for a while but have not flown it a lot for two reasons:1. I really like flying the PMDG 747 and2. Ever since i bought the 737 a fe years ago, the radio panel freezes on me when i fly the aircraft. I would usually just abort the flight and forget about the aircraft for months at a time (and roll out the 747).Tonight, i attempted to fly the 737 again (first time in maybe 6 months) and the radio panel froze on me right from the beginning of setting up the flight. Now i'm ###### with this situation.Has anyone experienced this? Is this a known bug that maybe i do not know about? Any fixes?Please help.Anthony

    I'd like for your team to consider designing White Night and SpaceshipOne for FSX. Apparently in FSX we'll be able to "fly" all the way to space. SpaceshipOne would be the perfect vehicle to explore that aspect of FSX. I hope you'll consider this suggestion as a possible candidate for development.Many thanks.Gianluca

    This question may have come up earlier but I didn't find it. What are the prospects of winglet textures for the 737-700 and 737-800 models? They appear to be much more popular in the industry as time goes on. I notice that, at least in my area, Continental in particular is flying many more winglet 737s.

    I am looking for some information from those who are now running the PMDG 747-400. My computer has the following: Windows, XP, SP-1 OP system, AMD 2.15 GHz Athlon XP processor, Asus A7V8X-X motherboard with 333MHz max FSB, 1,024 MB DDR, Asus V9570 Nvidia GeForce FX5700 graphics board with 256 MB DDR. If anyone out there has experience with something in the same class as my computer and is currently running the "Queen of the Sky", I would be interested in hearing how it performs on such a machine -- before I buy the 747-400!ThanksFlyer21.

    HelloCan someone help me get my VOR and ADF needles back on the freighter version? I am pretty sure this happened after I adjusted the gauge refresh rate, but now when I turn on the switches to show VOR and ADF needles in the ND, I see nothing. It still tunes the stations because I can see them listed, but no arrows. Also, the backup gauge on the left below the clock stays still and does not track anything, even when I move the switch back and forth.Do I need to reinstall? Is there some way to wipe out the panel state and will that fix it? Id appreciate the help. I finally got FS9 working well enough to let me do long haul flights and Im loving the Queen even more, but th…

    Dear Members of the AVSIM/PMDG Support Forum,I am in need of help, for my PMDG 747-400 looses power in mid-flight, usually once I hit my cruising altitude (around FL330, FL340). I am able to fly steady at my cruising altitude for a little bit, but after a while, my airspeed begins to slowly decrease. Once it hits 230KIAS, she dangerously begins to turn left and right and I loose altitude -- in the end, I stall. I also loose my VNAV, my speed switches to FLCH, etc. If anyone has a fix for this aircraft, please send me it.     Hi, I am a novice in the FS and PMDG and I try to start the 744 from the scrach using the PMDG lessons provided by them.I have notice that I have a Sys Fault and Press lights on the Hyd Pump 1 and this I cannot make it work...what I am doing wrong?Another issue is the stab trim box in the eicas it's shows only 0.0Please help me with this.Thanks a lot and have a nice flight

    I know that it's been brought up before that there is a flaw in the FS2004 physics engine that attaches too much friction to aircraft taxiing on the ground, thus requiring higher power settings in the sim during taxi than real-world counterpart aircraft. This bug is especially noticable in large jet aircraft like the PMDG 747, where taxiing with precision can be a real challenge at times. R. Randazzo's 1st expanded tutorial describes using differential thrust when making tight turns in the sim and although this technique will work, I've found an easier and more precise way (at least for me).     I currently have the 737-600,700 and the 747-400 installed on my computer. I am thinking of purchasing the 737-800,900 and need to know if I can without difficulties install it now after the fact that the 737-600,700 and the 747-400 is already installed. I recall reading somewhere, but cannot find it now, the order of installation and was also wondering if it applies to the 800,900. I do not want to un-install and re-install any of the PMDG aircraft. In the OPS page I found an unsupported walkaround to install the 737NG after the 747-400 and do not know if this would apply.Ken

    Hello all, I am brand new to PMDG 737 and was wondering if anyone can tell me, can the FS flight planner build a flight plan for the FMC and make use of the game ATC at the same time? I have FSNav and it can build flight plans but do you loose the ATC option with this? The difference being between them both of course is one is .rte and the other .pln.As much info would be great.ThanksAaron
