I'm having problems with LNAV veering off course for no apparent reason:I've been running the 4-4 type rating lesson flying from Phoenix to LA. Everything goes fine through takeoff to establishing cruise. Along the way I am using LNAV to track the horizontal course. During the cruise, LNAV is tracking the magenta course line perfectly, and then during a segment without any upcoming turns or banks, LNAV suddenly banks the aircraft and veers way off course! I disconnect the A/P, fly it back in line with the magenta line, then re-engage LNAV and A/P. It tracks for a little while, then veers way off course again. At these moments I am touching absolutely nothing, and up until…

Hi captains, suppose it's Christmas and you can order a high-end Gaming-PC to make the optimum FSX-DirectX10-Vista-PMDG744-online-gaming-machine (price/performance which is sufficient). Don't want to buy a CRAY!I'll use FS2Crew and will fly at VATSIM.What ingredients would you use? The only things I have so far are two 19" TFT-monitors, a MS-Force feedback 2, a plantronics-headset and TrackIR. OK and a 4GB SDSL-connection.regards,Volker

When I fly the 747 and pass the first waypoint the plane does continue to the second. However the navigation display still displays the first waypoint. After crossing the second waypoint the plane returns to the first. How do I correct this to have the plane continue on?

This is NOT about soundset relsease dates!Hi all,ASIDE, from missing exterior sounds and lack of realism complaints you all have, my comment is regarding sound crackling or static when throttling up or down. The problem is the PMDG sound processor in the panel.cfg and the 744 configuration settings. Simply put, this processor controls all the button-clicking and packs/apu noises and general panel sounds. Meanwhile, your sound folder where your engine sounds are located controls just the engine noises and all other regular airplane noises. The problem? These two don't mix! The PMDG sound processor causes the crackling of the engine sounds. Otherwise I am quite satisfied wit…

Now that I am in college, there isn't really an awful lot of time to fly. I haven't flown in almost 2 and a half weeks. My last flight was from Newark, NJ to Lisbon, Portugal. An overnighter that left at 10pm like the real flight. I figured it was my last flight for the summer so go all out right? I always remember this flight and it was wonderful. So what have you all been up to? Any good pics, flights, expericnces, share with me I am going through MSFS withdrawl lol.Alex

It's already 2 weeks that i have the aircrafts of PMDG (the 737-600&700) on my FS but still, i don't know how to fly it in GPS mode. and i also find it very hard to figure it out what's the NAV hold and GPS or NAV in the PMDG aircrafts because in the others it's very easy to fly a flight when it's planned in a flight plan in VFR. so can anybody of you teach me how to fly it with the GPS and NAV mode?

New Questions on thie same thread,Some other questionsOne the way down i usually place the alt value lower ( 0 ) than the calculated alt in the fms BEFORE the TOD circle . In this way the plane follows the vnav for alt-fix values, Does anyone else do this?Any other methods to ensure the plane follows the vnav path on the way down to the intial approach fix.. Sometimes when atc give you a restriction you need to go to the fms and insert the alt and lsk it, The fms will recalc.the v-path, would you then hit vnav or use the flc and enter the fmc , What is everyones preference.also, another little glitch. I purchased the C&H Quad Throttle, it went on the fritz so I disconnected it. I had a problem with the yokes throttle, it would not close until I pushed it wide open then quickly closed it. So I moved it's sensitivity slider about 1/16" from the low end. I figured their was noise or whatever that was preventing the sim from detecting the throttle was fully closed.I then landed at LAX 25L and turned off at the end of the runway only to meet head on with another airliner, held my position to allow it to turn left onto it's takeoff runway.I noticed a roaring sound while holding my position. Checked back to cockpit view and saw the reversers were deployed. A slight push c…
