    Absolutely fed up with this occurring, no matter what I try. For no apparent reason (see attached). Using the latest patches, removed and resintalled and tried again, still no solution.Anyone know what causes this?Thanks for any advice.Del.

    Flew into Coventry from Alicante over the weekend. When I set up the FMC for DEP/ARR it didn't offer me an ILS approach to runway 05, however, when I selected the Approach page as I crossed the UK coast, an ILS approach was listed on the left hand side. Why is this please does anyone know ?

    Looking up the subject bug settings in the PMDG 747 manuals, I still to this day find it somewhat confusing. I'm looking for further RW instructions to set these realisticly during my initial descent.MDA: This is the "Baro" setting? Is this the same as MSA (Minimum Safe Altitude ?) found in approach charts? I also happen to use Radar Contact (RC) and see that when setting up the controller page, it fairly accurately lists the MSA at the planned arrival. Would setting the MDA on the PFD to this RC listed MSA altitude be realistic at all? Example, arrival in KATL lists a MSA of 2800ft.     Preflight Planning, I set the STAR of the airport and already have the missed approach and hold at certain INT and altitude. It is rather easy. However, What should I do for the FMC to exit the hold pattern, regain the G/S, LOC of the runway and get back the autolanding

    Hello, I really love the PMDG 747 but I have one question. When the engines are off and my plane is sitting at the gate, it seems the power is off because I see no gauges lit or showing. I would think that when the engines are started everything would turn on, but nothing does. I can still fly the plane and use autopilot, overhead panel, but I cant see my speed, altitude, ect... is there just a switch I have to switch on or what? Any help appreciated..     Could someone please provide advice as to how to plan step climbs and then enter them into the FMC. I would have thought that they would conflict with the cruising altitude that's entered when the FMC is programmed before flight. I've been watching the great DVD showing the Virgin Atlantic flight between LHR and SFO and saw a number of planned step climbs on their route.One can never learn enough about the -400..!!Cheers,Guy

    All,Ever since i have installed the 747-400 this message comes up everytime i submit my aircraft for flight..."AIRAC database is loading. FS9 will pause until this is finished"???? what does that mean? It only happens to the PMDG products i have on there. When i didn't have the 747, this never happened to the 737NG, but now it does. I takes longer to load the aircraft now.What's happening?robbie

    I thought I had been under the impression that CLB1 and CLB2 thrust washed out to full CLB thrust by 15,000' but am not sure if this is happening. It seems to have happened on certain flights but not on others. I am not sure if the inconsistency is user error or inadvertent user input--such as changing the target ALT on the way up.Appreciate any clarification or guidance here, thanks!Jonathan

    I've installed FSNav for flight planning but i need some help on a couple of issues. I now you can only use fsnav for route planning only for pmdg i.ve made my plan how do i export it to pmdg and do i leave out the SID and STAR and put them in seperate while planning on FMC any help would be greet helpMike

    Heres a strange one, I was departing WSSS for EGLL and everytime I tried to take off as soon as the 747-400 reached approx 150 knots on the runway a crash was triggered.I tried with different fuel loads etc and alternate runways but its not good it still crashed. It was working the day before and noting was changed, It is a fully licensed copy (I have all the PMDG stuff :D).Any Ideas? FS2004, Fully patched as is the PMDG 747, I also have the Freighter variant. Default Scenery and AS6.RegardsJames

    Hello,Firstly I must congratulate the team for what is a fantastic addon for FS9. I have the 747 and 747F I am fairly new to this and I'm a bit confused about saving. I have read the manual and searched the forum but I would be most grateful if someone could help clarify the situation for me.I'm working through Holger's tutorial and it's impossible for me to do it all in one go. I started following his instructions and got as far as setting FFM as a FIX and the intercept course (basically I got as far as page 47).     Gents,Please have a look at the attached word document, showing a flight I had to Iceland, Reykjavik.I planned the route using FSBUILD but without the SID/STAR part of it. Enroute I decided to put in the wpts for ILS RWY11 and I also selected ILS11 approach. No STAR was loaded.Why does the FMC calculate a path that is not possible (see screenshots), I know that it can make these kind of strange paths when you load up a STAR but I did not expect this to happen when I hand entered them, like the points on RWY11 extension KEF 03 was entered in as offsets from the KEF VOR.This is not a very big deal as I would just use hdg commands to get aligned, but I just dont understand w…

    hey everyone,I have read the manual and everything but when I get to the step about AFDS..im confused..where do i set the AFDS?? and then the next step is to press the VNAV button, so i press it, and it only stays on for a second or so and then goes away.     HiJust took off from SFO heading to LFPG. VNAV doesn't work, says "unable crz alt". I've set everything correctly, I've already checked the forum for similar problems and checked evry page on the FMC. It seems to be a problem with the fmc, because as you can see on th pic below, FMC fuel predfiction is: -2,200,000 Lbs at LFPG!!!!! This is just imposible!! Any help?RegardsHuc

    Why is the max altitude of the 737-800 on the fmc so low, The service celing is 41000 and after t/o I cant even make it to 370 or the fmc gives me a message like max alt 351. Even when I am about to decend an have burned alot of fuel it never reaches even 390.

    I updated from the 737 600/700 to pmdg 800/900.I have a problem with one of the guages at the bottom of the front panel is a little too low or cut off. Any clues how to fix this?I tried the dots per inch in display settings but it is at 96 dpi.

  25. AVSIM FS2004-Flight Plans & NavData libraries: File for KATL current as of cycle 0609 (31 Aug - 28 Sep 06). Based on FAA NACO Digital Terminal Procedures. Includes all procedures and approaches (16-DPs 11-STARs 21-IAPs). All RNAV arrivals are enumerated for landing East or West (e.g. use HONIE3.E landing East) and assume vectors to final per charted instructions. These are also provided in runway-specific versions for use in lieu of vectors, the procedure connects to a ILS approach at the final approach fix (e.g., HONIE3.27L provides a downwind, base and a localizer intercept for the ILS27L approach).
