    Hi Folks !I am flying the 744 now for over a year and more and more i dont understand the ILS system activated through the FMC. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I put the ILS RW in activate it and while i am approaching my RW neither the ILS nor the GLideslopeneedle are appearing. What is wrong . Please adivseThanksMarek

    Simmerz,i just re-installed my PMDG 737NG products, after i got a new PC, and i noticed that if i am, i.e. sitting on a runway (any runway in the world), on the ND, it shows the runway to my right or left. ASWELL as my route and Navaids, waypoints etc.So it seems that the position of Runway.XX in FS is different to the position of it in the NavData base. I am using Ground Enviroment Pro, with an Aussie Landclass addon. But i cant imagine that affecting the position of everything.ThanksDan

    Is it possible to programme the FMC to carry out a reverse course procedure turn? I want to carry an ILS approach to runway 35R at KOKC, this requires a reverse course procedure turn.I have tried hand flying it, however, it's harder than it looks and I ended up in a right old pickle! I have overcome most FMC problems by reading the manual but this one has "got me beat". I would also ask the same question with regard to PMDG 747. This leads me on to my final question. Do big jets carry out procedure turns? I have done a fair bit of passenger flying and I cannot recall ever doing a procedure turn. Can anyone help.RegardsSteve HoneyLincoln UK

    I have a problem, no matter i turn the battery on, EXT PWR and/or APU, the CRT's PFD and EICAS are black, in cold and dark cockpit this is. If i load the airplane normally with the engines running and pretty much everything working properly, the CRT's die black about 30sec to a 1minute or so. Can canybody help me here?!?!     No problems for SID of any aiportsFor arrival, I usually choose ILS for landing and a STAR selected in the FMC. However, the STAR always turns out with some weird route. for example turning a huge circle crossing some kind of stupid and redundant waypoints, or just don't agree with the runway alignment. So I choose another STAR, and the turnout is similar. Sometimes I just don't use the STAR, simply using ILS is ok. Is that my problem or we should fly just stupid as these ???Thx, dogdog1985PMDG protester :(

    Something I only noticed recently by accident, when I had taxied in with the flaps still at 30. I selected flaps up and then shutdown the engines. As soon as the EDPs depressurised the flaps stopped moving (somewhere between 5 and 1). On EICAS the four demand pumps (all in AUTO) were still showing 3000 psi, so the flaps should still be moving, although more slowly. Part of the function of the demand pumps is to boost EDP output for high flow activities like flap and gear deployment, so they certainly should be able to move the flaps.     Hi everyone,Is there anybody who can tell me if it is possible to change the engine rating for a specific airline or plane and how to do it?For example, Transavia flies the 737-800 with either 26k or 27k engines.     Hi, all:With Vista coming up in the next few months, AND with the imminent release of FS X....I'm giving serious thought to a hardware upgrade. I've already got the vid-card, so there's the question of what will compliment FSX, and Vista.     Hi,Recently I've been practicing my landing skills at KLAX runway 25L with autoland. My question is, when I follow the proper procedure of enabling the second auto pilot after capturing the glidescope, the PFD says that I have locked on to a channel 1 ILS signal. With both autopilots engaged shouldn't it be a two channel signal?Even though it states a 1 channel signal, I'm able to auto land with flare etc. I'm still learning here so it's possible that I'm just missing something.     I recently found my old Quick Reference Checklist from the murky darkness of my drawers. I noticed that going through the check list after a long absense :-( I don't see any mention of engine hydraulic pumps, only for the electric pumps. Further down in the check list, I see that System A and System B switches are turned on during the overhead panel setup. I am assuming we are talking about the electric pumps here. And finally, in the shutdown/secure part of the check list the electric hydraulics are mentioned explicitly to be shut down. Are the engine pumps only turned off in case of a malfunction?Thanks,Boaz

    The dome light does not light up the center pedastal, it is impossible to read the FMC, and radio panel unless the sun is behind me which illuminates the VC properly. Is there any way to fix this so turning on the dome light during the day can brightne up the cockpit?Thanks

    Hi, I have decided that I will now venture out and buy some dedicated MCP hardware for my beloved NG. I guess the only two real candidates unless I want to build it myself are the GF MCP Pro and the one from CPFlight. Can those of you who have either give me some feedback so as to make my choice easier? I realize that the GF is probably a bit cheaper than the CPFlight one, but it seems to me that the CPFlight one has more potential for extension.Thanks,:-waveBoaz

BUT.. in fairness I don't think this is entirely PMDG, as I never found saving within MSFS all that reliable either.What do I mean? Well there are a lot of posts here regarding saving flights in PMDG and MSFS..
