Having been back and forwards to the MD11 link on PMDG main page for the last year, I wonder why there are no new screenshots of the aircraft. The last website screenies were on the 12th of January 2006.We are now 10 months down the line. Surely there must be some exterior model pics, or something like that.Do you have anything more to show us?RegardsAnthony ReesCape Town

Will we have old or new style standby gauges in the MD-11? If you model the old standby artificial horizon will it topple?http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0191456/L/-Paul

As I know that PMDG737 can tune the radio to the airport's ILS frequency at the radio panel (NAV)However, I can't find it at PMDG 747, only at the FMC NAVRAD, but I can't change the frequency. So what should I do if I want to have an ILS frequency different from the FMC

NAVDATA 608 and latest SID amd STARS from Terry.I read somewhere in the forum that the only solution was to reinsatll again. But I hope someone have an other suggestion or solution.ThanksRegards,Hans

Hi everybody! One small question: How can I get a wind-direction and -speed readout during the takeoff-roll? AS far as I know the FMC calculates the direction and speed from the Groundspeed(vector) (by IRS) and the TAS from the Air Data Computer (like the wind-triangle one can do with a mechanic Flight Computer). But during the takeoff-roll you don't have a GS-vector different to the TAS, you are not drifted off by the wind. Wind-data and windarrow are displayed on ND at 96kts in PMDG.BTW: Is the NE wind-direction true or mag? Is the wind in the FMC (POS pge2) true or mag? Thanks for any ideas, Stefan

Gents,When I have setup the FMC and is ready for the departure I sometimes get changes in the active runway for take off from ATC. I then reselect the runway in the FMC but then my ref speeds are blanked out. Why is this done? I guess this is the same in real life as well, but I was curious why this is done? Also I see on some videos they take off with flaps 20. How can i figure out what is the optimal take off flaps, 10 or 20. I know that 20 would reduce my takeoff speed but I see they do this even on take offs with long runways and no restrictions on the climb out??I am using the PMDG 747.Thanks and regardsKjetil OlsnesNorway

Hello All,I'm new to the forum so sorry if this issue has been raised before, I cound not find any information and thought I would post.Okay, on final with APP mode selected and below 1800AGL LAND 3 I noted that you can see the electrical page on the EICAS when selected. I noted that this is disabled on the real A/C. Is this an oversight by PMDG or is airline specific? I know that many operators change the systems on the real A/C according to their SOPs.FMC

I fly the PMDG 737 and 747 and used to be able to use my yoke to control the rudder whilst on the ground and aerilons in the air. Then I had to re-install and now my yoke won't control the rudders anymore.Anyone know where to look to solve this problem (ie, linking aerilons and rudder control) to same yoke axis. Don't know if it's a PMDG, FS9 or FSIUPC issue, just know that it used to work!ThanksRenzo

This applies to pilots or those who have ever travelled in the cockpit. When the spoilers are extended in flight, is any rumble or other sound heard? I think it was discussed some time ago, but i couldn't find it.ThanksPaul

Hello,I have been operating all of the 737NG models since they came out without any problems until now. Today, I loaded the 737-800 and the following occurred:- Radios will not work, even when APU is on;- Radio controls won't work at all, I can't change freqs;- The duct pressure always shows zero even when the APU is running and APU bleed is on;- Despite this, I managed to start the engines and bring the generators online, however the duct pressure still showed zero regardless of the bleed settings and the radios still won't work.I closed FS2004 and restarted clean but still the same thing happened. Any ideas?Jim

Hello, just have a small or "big" problem;) Well, just installed PMDG 747 on my new Notebook system. And while starting i have a problem in the Virtual and 2D Cockpit. In the main display where the vertical Gyro is located, i can't see int the upper right corner the second and the last two numbers of the Height/altitude which you put in the "Hold ALT" area. So it's quite confusing to know if you are kno below Fl 1oo or above, because you don't see the second number. Also in the middle of the Cockpit, on the display where the 4 N1 bars are located,....well the upper 4 bars are overlapping the lower 4 bars sligthly...that means i can't see clearly the "power" of each bar, be…

I know that on the FIX page, I can create a dotted radius around any given fix or waypoint. Is it possible to create the radius around the airacrafts current position, and not a fix or waypoint?ThanksChip B.@-@http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpg

I am having trouble with a CTD usually after an hour flight with the 747 400 + F due to an 'out of memory' error. I have 2GB of Corsair memory installed. I have noticed that if I load FS2004 with a default plane the memory usage is around 350MB a the start and the Level D 767/PSS 777 is around 600MB. Bless the queen she comes in aroundabout 1.3-1.4GB from the start, is this a normal amount of memory that she needs to run. I have been looking at various posts here and will try some of the suggestions. Would increasing the page file swap allocation be a good thing to do? I am running GEPRO + Active Sky + Ultimate Terrain. Many Thanks
