    I'm aware that the Top Brass at PMDG have drawn a 'virtual' line under Fs9 :).However, I have had a problem with my PMDG B738NG for the past 3 weeks, which I am unable to resolve.I always start Fs9 with the Default flight, then prepare the aircraft for flight; when I'm satisfied we're ready to roll I logon to VATSIM for the proposed Online flight - all OK so far, frame rates around 30 fps locked at 40fps. Moving to EFIS Press the STA button...Wham!! fps drops to 4/5 fps - aircraft then unmoveable (well, it moves jerking all over the place), I turn off STA all is smooth again? If I leave STA off, then get on with my flight - smooth as velvet. Pressing EFIS Waypoint a…

    Hello, First I would like to say what a great product PMDG has produced. Unfortunately, and this may well have been something I did, since I installed the sound update all the sounds of all my aircraft has turned to custard when I fly an aircraft in SPOT view.The PMDG 747 is relatively ok but other non pmdg aircraft (any) sound awful in flight when I increase the throttle in spot view only, its horried.On the ground, in spot view, in idle mode they are ok. All the other sounds cockpit view, any aircraft are ok. It is just in spot view when I increase the throttles.How can i fix this?

    After programming the FMC in the PMDG 747 or 737 with a DESTINATION airport / runway selected (KDFW to KLCK for my example), and taking off, I wondered if it was possible to change the destination airport in route to simulate a need to land at an alternate airport (emergency, etc).I am unable to find a way to do this if it is possible. I tried to delete the destination airport to no avail, I also tried to delete the route, but still nothing that would allow me to select a new destination airport/runway. I know I could simply takeoff w/o a destination selected, but this defeats the purpose and takes the fun out of programming the FMC. The FMC seems pretty detailed so I …

    Simple request . . .On the updates page, can we have the date when the update was released so we know which ones are "new" if we haven't checked for a few months . . .it's either that or an "update manager" within the product, and I know which one will be easier to code ;-)Thanks.

    Hi !When trying to use a previously saved flightplan from 737NG in my new 747 it just does not work :(I put it in "Co Route", Dep-airport comes up but nothing more, no Dest airport and no wpt's...Looking at the saved flightplan I see that the 737NG uses a FMC version "PMDG737NGFMC *2.1*" and when I manually save a route from the 747 FMC the .rte flightplan says "PMDG737NGFMC *2.1* and PMDGFMC *3.0*"Another difference is that the 747 FMC (ver 3.0) uses one digit less when giving a lat/long pos, ex:ESSA1DIRECT1 N 59.6519 E 17.9186 137and the 737 FMC:ESSA1DIRECT1 N 59.65194 E 17.91861 137Should the 747 FMC be able to use co routes from 737NG ?If so, is there just something w…

    hello. I love pmdg 737ng but for some reason i keep getting the the insuffient fuel msg on the cdu. I made all the fuel calculation using the pmdg fuel planner, and i have taken into consideration the wind and still always happens. can you guys help?

    Hi on the PFD on the speed bar there are what i asume to be flaps markers.they read UP, 5 , 10 ect....and are on selected speeds. but to me they seem very low. i usualy deploy the flaps much sooner.is it me thats is doing it wrong?

    Hi everyone, I recently bought a CH throttle quadrant. One of the first things I noticed in it was that the middle four switches beneath the throttles would make ideal engine cutoff switches, just like in the real 744. I've assigned controls to my Ch yoke in the past using the PMDG key commands and FSUIPC method. However I cannot find any option in the PMDG key commands for the four engine cutoff switches.So does anyone have any idea for how I can assign them to my throttle quadrant? I'm sure it must be possible and it would really add to the realism. Thanks a lot in advance, Greg.

    Hi, I Ioaded my PMDG 737-800 FMC with route info today, the problem started when i entered my departure airport which today was LLBG-Ben Gurion. the FMC wrote: BGN18 UNKNOWN.The same thing, just with different point happend to me again in the arrivel airport which today was LIMC-Milano.When I went to the DEPARR page in the FMC I was shocked to see the the airport had no SIDS OR STARS! Weird...I have AIRAC 0610 installed, as well as the latest SIDSTAR edition from NAVDATA. I don't know what to do, I asked everybody I know and they had no idea!THANKS FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE!!!CAPT.     Just wondering I have 767-LEVLED and PMDG 747-400 and the 767 TCAS picks up traffic on VATSIM but I haven't seen any Traffic on the PMDG 747 TCAS. Yes I got TFC showing up on the display so I know its on.

    Hi Chaps,I'm having a problem with the queen, I'm not able to get the thrust limit to change while flying in modes other than VNAV.For example, if I select FLCH and hit THR, the limit automatically changes to CLB irrespective of the THR LIM chosen on the THR page of the FMC. I'm also having trouble choosing a different ACCEL height, changing the values on the FMC seems to make no difference. Any suggestions??Cheers, Martin Neep

    I recently purchased and installed the PMDG 747-400. Mine is the full retail package, bought from a local store here in Australia. I like the idea of having the disk as a hard copy but was unable to find the 400F in similar packaging in the product racks.     Good morningWhy the Queen sometimes doens't start to sinking on hold altitude (MCP) and APR wiht the 3 AP lights on? I think the hold light on MCP has to switch off automaticly once reached the ILS-descent.Sorry about my english knowledges.Thanks an best regardsMarcel

Granted these sorts of scenarios aren't too common, but I had a flight recently where I decided to try using non-precision methods such as v/s mode to manage descent down to about 5 miles on final before I took control.     When I reload a saved game from within the normal FS9 'My Saved Flights', I cannot for the life of me rearm the A/T. I've tried just about everything ie; reloading a panel state, saved with the FS9 save, just in case, I thought, killing then rearming the AP (countless times) and I'm becoming a trifle frustrated. Does anyone have a solution to this problem, please? Also, after a while (only with reloaded 'save' games, the engine sounds starts to scream and the red speed indicators in the PFD invert and appear at the bottom area of the speed tape. Have tried the GE and RR sets, and will try some PW noise out tonight. :9One question though, from what I can see, it appears that the startup sound is derived solely from the gradually increasing N1%, am I correct?The sound.cfg file points to a file that has no noise in it, so what we hear in the sim must presumably not have anything to do with this sound.The reason I ask is that I want to drop in a sound file for my own purposes that adds the low frequency 'hum' you get inside an aircraft as lightoff occurs and the engine spools up.Armen, if you were prepared to do so, could you please provide me with some …

    Wow... That about sums up what I was thinking when I landed after a test flight from KLAX to KSFO using the new sound update. The thrust rev sounds are PERFECT and I've yet to see any sound package deliver that kind of rumble on my subs.The update is absolutely amazing and has given the 744 a new dimension of realism.Can't wait for the MD11!- Tim Schaff

    I don'r recall ever reading anything about this so here goes : why is it that everytime I throw a switch the rest of the soundscape fades out and in again ? This occurs in the 737 and 747 both. I was hoping it would be gone with the new sound update and although the sounds are truly magnificent the issue remains. Is it my soundcard (Soundblaster XFI extreme music)?I hope someone can enlighten me.cheersMartin
