Hi all,i am a bit irritated about the correct startup procedure. After looking up several videos i came to the following conclusion and i am asking for correction here:GE or PW engines: you pull the start-button and turn on the fuel valve and turn the fuel valve ONLY off in case of a wet/hot/hung-start.RR-engines: you pull the start button and wait for a certain N2 then you switch on the fuel.i hope i made my point clear. The PMDG procedure seems to be to pul the buttons and switch on the fuel cutoff valves whereas in case of RR-engines a different procedure should be used from what i see in several cockpit-videos but i may be wrong here...Best and keep up a work that qua…

I am about 2 months into flying the Queen, and every once in a while, I crash on landing. I am coming in "on the numbers," with LAND3 showing, VREF pegged, landing gear down, Autobrakes 4, winds slight cross wind at 4 KTS, right in the groove on the glide slope. Everything normal until the nose wheel comes down, I apply reverse thrust, and immediately crash for no apparant reason. I am showing no problems of any kind when this happens. Seems to happen about every 4th or 5th flight.Any ideas on what is going on would be greatly appreciated...Larry Jasmann

Hi,I'm trying to fly a departure manually EGLL, DOVER SID, but for some reason the FD commands 170 knots even after acceleration height. It does not command lowering the nose in order to accelerate.LNAV and VNAV are armed on the ground and engage propery after takeoff.As far as I know above acceleration height (1000ft) it should command lowering the nose in order to start accelerating for flaps retraction, however this doesn't happen, it tries to keep it at 170 knots.Only thing that helps is deleting the 6000ft crossing restrition found on the LEGS page. There are no speed restrictions on the LEGS page, and only the usual 250/10000 at VNAV CLB page.Am I missing something?…

I am having a problem. I want to save an inflight situation where I am nearing the T/D point and the plane is flying with autothrottle on and PDF is showing green SPD, VNAV, LNAV PTH. All is well with the flight and I am ready to set up the FMC for approach and autoland. I hit ; to go to the MSFS "save flight" and perform the save and hit OK. It takes me back to the in-progress flight where I left off, but I lose the autothrottle (there is now no SPD showing on PFD, and no autothrottle. I've tried pausing the flight at the point that I want to save (autothrotte, etc. all working), go out to the MSFS save and come back in (all green SPD,VNAV & LNAV showing but paused).…

Sorry to be stupid but how do I delete a manually entered VOR/ILS freq on the FMS NAV/RAD page so the FMC will take over again ?Many thanks.

I just bought all of the PMDG birds for the 2nd time to put them on my new Dell XPS700. The 737's work fine and I installed all of the programs in the proper order. The 747-400 is not right. The overhead has graphics problems and when I load the cold and dark PAE my flight sim yoke only operates engine number 1. The other 3 throttles stay in place. I redownloaded the palne and reinstalled with repair option. Same thing happened. I have a Quad SLi NVidia 7950 2GB setup.Here is my 2D overhead. VC is normal.I also have the same 2D overhead problem with the B74F cargo version. It's like they have super mini panels in spots.I disabled SLi but I also had the same result. All of…

One thing I'd like to see in the MD-11 and of course future products to to be able to export a PMDG flight plan to FS9/FSX format so it can be loaded into sim's flight plan thing for ATC. I know a lot of people use FSBuild to export both formats simultaneously but I dont use FSBuild and itd be easier this way. Currently I have to input the plan into the FMC with proper departure/approach procedures and then I have to manually do it in FSNav and export it to FS format. This would save me a bit of time.

After finally reading the soundset post I have a quick question. In the list of updated features of the soundset posted by Ryan (Thank You) there was no list of the 747s APU sounds. When I'm around the 744 at work there APU is actually quite whiny with a high pitch whine that you wouldn't expect to hear from such a large beast. Has any modification been made to this soundest? Thanks One more question maybe someone can clarify. Is it or is it not a FS9 limitation that when I go to spot view that I hear the recirc fans and A/C soundsets when I am outside? I remember reading something about this but forgot. And last but not least, when I use my current aircraft as provided …

i've just installed my 744F...and i'm experiencing a strange thing....flight simulator start the flight on the runway with engines running and all systems already set...but after a few second maybe one minute all the six LCd screens of the 744 turn off..all the images disappear from PFD ND EICAS etc....and there is noway to restart them....can anyone help me?thank u so much

I PURCHASED the PMDG 747-400 I still have the install program it was a online purchase and download I still have the product ID I dont have my password anymore ..Is there a way to retrieve that?On the install is asking for a password..I changed HD so I need to reinstall the program.Thanks!!

I've noticed that the nose wheel appears half buried when in spot view. I've noticed this with other aircraft and wonder if its an FS 9 problem. Is there a way to correct this?Ron

Hi,During preflight, the Thrust Limit page displays "TO-B" below TO-2. This feature is unavaiable to us, but what does it do in the real plane?PS. Is there any way I can assign the G/A switch a keystroke? I can't find it in the key assignments menu.Paul

I haven't been able to find an answer to this one on the forums, so hopefully someone can help me out. I'm using the 747-400.When entering LAT/LON waypoints in to the Legs page the FMC seems to misinterpret the input.Inputing S29E170 is accepted as S28E169Inputing S2900.0E17000.0 is accepted as S28E169This happens for at least half such waypoints.Any clues on how to workaround this for LAT/LON waypoints?Matt

1. The Dome Light Knob in the overhead panel, not like the Panel Light, it's dead and "unturnable". When I key-assign the Dome light with "Ctrl-D", the case is just the same. 2. In 737NG, are there any pushback function, like 747-400, can input the length of pushback and turn a requested angle. 3. Like 747-400, it has EICAS to monitor all the status of the A/C, but I can't find one in the 737NG4. In 747-400, there is TCAS turned, but I can't find any similar things in 737NGMany many questions......737 Newbiedogdog1985
