Hi all,I just reinstalled my beloved QOS after a deadly update from Microsoft. I use the CH Throttle Quadrant and FSUIPC 3.6. I had set up the first lever for the spoiler, 2-5 for the engines/reverser and now I want lever no. 6 to control the flaps. It worked perfectly before with a lower version of FSUIPC. And it works with the standard 744 in FS2004. But now I can't get it to work with the QOS.I did a search on the forum because I thought I had read something about this problem in the forum before, but I couldn't find anything. I am sure there are a lot of people who got this working. Could anyone help? Thanks!Christian

Since the vertical speed indicator is a barometric device it of course has an indication delay of a few sec. But is this the the case in a real 744 as well or did those Boeing engineers find some way to make the VSI show you your vertical speed in real time? I´m just curious because the VSI in the PMDG 744 seems pretty fast in displaying my current VS to my mind.

I find that while all the data exists in the new AIRAC files (0609) from Navigraph, I can no longer use the EFIS APT, WPT, or STA functions to display airports, VORs or intersections on the screen.Would appreciate it if someone at PMDG (or other experts on the forum) could let us know if there's a specific formatting trick (ordering perhaps?) that's required for this to work. I looked in the wpnavAID.txt file and find that the entries for the Little Rock VOR (LIT) are the same as far as I can tell, the only difference is that the name is in all caps in the new file and not in the old one.Here's the old and new entries in the file:Little Rock LIT VORD 34.67…

Hi there. Don't know if this issue was discussed before. I am currently flying from EDDF to KSFO again and saved 1000 nm before T/D.The weird thing was I had aprox. 95.000 lbs of fuel on board. When I loaded the game again I had the same amount of fuel onboard, but the distribution in the tanks has changed.Before saving I had something about 12.5 in Main 1, 40 in Main 2, 40 in Main 3 and 12.5 in Main 4. Ok, I know it's an assymetrical distribution and only 2 and 3 were feeding the engines. Anyway: when I loaded the game again, the distribution was 23.7, 23.7, 23.7, 23.7! I immediatly got the EICAS message Fuel/Tank Engine and switched off the X-Feeds 1 and 4 to get the Ta…

It is expecially strange the routing FS gave to me when I asked for a flight plan from Newark to Paris. Something like Newark, then over to Vancouver, than across Canada, and finally to paris. Whats with this, is the game really that dumb?

The latest free AIRAC from NAVDATA is missing the new Bangkok Airport - VTBSIs there any way to manually edit the AIRAC and add this aiport?If I try to enter a route say VTCCVTBS the FMC with the latest AIRAC will say invalid data because it's missing VTBS from the airports data.I want to be able to fly into Bangkok with the PMDG birds and other payware for that matter. Hi there, It's been almost 18 months since i last visited the forum!! So much has happened, so much so that i'm currently studying on an integrated airline pilot program!! Thankfully, i've almost completed the necessary evil that is ground school!!!I have just read the post detailing PMDG's plans for the future and i have got to say how incredibly excited i am!!I was just wondering if we will be provided with any updates from the team in the next few weeks as we start to take to the skies of FSX??I am particularly excited about the 737 and MD11 program and just wondered how things are going and when we can see some up to date screeniesRegardsJames

Has anyone considered a repaint for the 737-700 for Midway airlines. It was a small carrier based at RDU. It served about 50 flights a day and used seven 737-700 at its peak. Sorry to say that 9/11 was the final end to the nice yellow livery. They are now flying as a USAirways carrier. I would love to see the yellow bird flying again.M KennonKRDU

g'day from oz...searched the forums for earlier info/posts on this and drawn a blank.on some of the rnav approaches avaliable for oz aerodromes, the b737 (6,7,8 and 9 models) fmc legs page will not permit a spd to be entered that is less than 150kias at the FAF. this may be (often is!) quite a bit in excess of the ideal Vref+5 spd you'd want to enter for the FAF.this happens inconsistently with rnav procedures at different aerodromes. an example is adelaide - the rnav procedure for ypad works perfectly for rwy 05 (any of the three transitions) but for rwy 23, it is not possible to enter a spd less than 150kias at the FAF (Vref+5 of < 150kias can be entered for the MAP)…

Is that the FS2004 ZGGG airport position is oldor the PMDG bugs, their positions do not agree

Hi Everyone,I recently had to re-install my fs9-due to some internal pc problem.I now have a another problem with my 747's virtual cockpit.It is present at the start of a flight but when I save a flight and return to it later on ....The VC is missing,everything else is okbut when I swop to vc mode I get a clear screen.Could somebody please tell me why this happens on saved flights only and how to sort it.Looking forward to all the help.Beans x(

HiI have a weird situation, If I choose to use the right seat for a cold start the ND and PFD are blank until engine start, whereas the left seat ND ad PFD work fine on the APU or GND power.Anyone ?thanksSteve

Hello!I recently bought the 737-6/7, and I am having trouble with the approach hold.I enter my route information into the FMC, and it puts the ILS frequency into the NAV radio, but when I press the 'APP' button on the MCP, either the FMC reads back 'NAV invalid,' or it lights up, but the plane does not follow the course.Also, how do I find what number to put in the COURSE display, and what does it do?Please try to put your answers in as simple as possible, as I am not as experienced as most.

I cant find any mention of this in the forums which leads me to believe I've done somthing wrong hmmm.I've very familure with the Queen's FMC and by in large the 737's as well. However I notice on the 737-800 that the OPT altitude reported for one flight was FL359 and the MAX was FL358.I think something is wierd with the FMC, any ideas please?CheersGavin

Hi there hope some one can help. Ive had the queen and F variant since they were launched. Had no troubles until just recently. When trying to set trim on the pedastal I used to get a box come up and i could see the trim settings. I also noticed that the same box that comes up for dumping fuel (amount you want left) doesnt show either. I dont know if this is caused by the same thing, but when i have set my V speeds up in fmc, i only get the V1 and Vr speeds displayed on the pfd, the V2 speed is missing. The last one isnt a major problem because i hear the call out for V2. Has anyone experienced/solved a similar problem?. Just to let you know i have done a reinstall but th…

Hello, I just reinstalled my 747 and when I first load up the gauges display fine. However, when I turn on the Apu or start fspassengers the gauges turn black and there is no way to turn them back on. I never had this problem before. Can anyone help my by telling me what to do or tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you.-Rob

I don't know if it is related, but after installing the demo Airac 0609 (for the PMDG 744), Airports and Waypoints information are no longer visible on the navigation display.Anyone has noticed that ?Cheers.

I want to land at RWY 21R in VHHH, Hong KongAll things are OK, Glideslope and LOCHowever, ATC not allow me to land and request me to missed approached due to the airport is too crowded.As a result, I can't land at RWY 21R nowThen I switch off the VNAV and LOC do the missed approach and go around at about 5000feet My question is that how to set the FMC so as to find a route and get back my the glideslope for landing from a Go-Around

Pushing these buttons no longer displays the items on the ND. Everything else in terms of waypoints still seems to work, including putting in waypoints in the FMC and so on. This both on the NG & 744.I think this may have occurred after my 0609 install of the AIRAC data from the Navigraph site, but that is just a guess.I tried to reinstall the previous 0608 version, but nothing changed, in fact the IDENT page still continues to Aug31Sep27/06 as the active date!Where are the PMDG Airacs stored?
