I am flying my very first flight that isn't a curcuit flight.As I was preparing the aircraft and FMS for my flight, I got to the point where I draw the alternate radius circles, using the fix page.When I did this fps dropped to 6-13 on my high end pc.I sat in Dubai with fps in the neighborhood of around 25-35.As the fps refused to climb, I then erased my two fixes, and witnessed the fps climb up again.I then took off and am now cruising at FL380.Just tested it again.I set my FIX page again, and fps in mid air, dropped to 10-15!I erased them, and then my fps dropped even lower, as if memory was being cleared or so, because then my fps rose rapidly to its average hovering o…

What parameter in the aircraft cfg. controls how far the flaps move out at flaps 5, I want them to move slightly more just for added realsim on the 738.

Hi, I am just starting understand how to use the FMC in the Boeing 747 however there are a few things I need help with. 1)How to correctly use the approach feature (whenever I set an approach my aircraft won't follow it because it is not on the route)2)Is it possible to set your aircraft's location (longitude and latitude) in the via section. (If so can you explain how and you don't need to answer #1)3)When I select an approach I get the route disconnected at the top of the FMC and I am unable to fix it. Hi, I guess I have the most recent nav data (0608). My question is where can I backup the nav data that is currently installed in case something goes wrong? Will this bring up the things that i'm missing from the FMS? ex. the RHOMM1 dep out of KCVG that is currently not showing or selectable in the FMS.

I just purchased the PMDG 747-400 V1.1 and am having a bit of a problem with the sound. It's not the crackling sound that I've read about.The problem I have is with the engine spool up being a bit "frame-ish". It doesn't spool up or increase smoothly with intensity... it seems to jump octaves. Does anyone else have this problem? I sincerely hope it is an easy fix.Best regards,Chuck

Good evening everyone,I am having problems with the PFD display :- in command mode the PFD shows "CM" instead of "CMD"- the altitude tape does not show the correct target altitude. For example : on MCP FL 220; tape shows 200 etc. Identical with any FLAny ideas ?the NG pack is fully updated.greetings,Dimi.

Firstly I would like to know what the difference is between..Speed Transition and Speed Restriction.. it's a PMDG 747 by the way :)But my main question is this, and it's bugging me now, why is it that despite putting a speed restriction in the FMC for below FL100 (my transition altitude is 6000) of 250knts.. It STILL.. insists on flying at 252knots below FL100!?I've checked.. double checked.. 250/FL100 is in the SPEED REST box and the SPEED TRANS is blank.. and it's flying at 252knots.. I'm totally confused.. have I done something wrong or overlooked something here?Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank youCraig

After installing my PMDG 737NG product, i have problems with pushing back. The aircraft just doesent start pushing back. Everything else works perfect. When i chooose any other aircraft, then pushback is also working. Yes i have installed all of the updates.Any ideas?Johannes

hey everyone, i just bought the pmdg 747 queen of the skies and i have read the tutorial and everything and i cant seem to get the LNAV and VNAV to work. My route is loaded into the FMC, by the way it says in the tutorial over 350 routes are loaded into your flight plans, but i dont see any...but back on track...i press the autopilot and the lnav doesnt stay on...any advice?? thanks so much!

PCPilot plans to have tutorials on jetliner training using the PMDG 747-400. It's mentioned in the article about a discount when purchasing this aircraft.Is this ture? How does one get the discount?This is exactly what I need, training. lol

I have a problem with flying lessons.As soon as I load one FS is crashing.It's happening with lesson_1 , lesson_2 but only lesson_3 part_2 and not part_1....Yesterday lesson_1 was working ....but not anymore !!!!Thanks for the helpOlivier Fontenay

Hi everybody!Why is the "aircraft is GPS fitted" (or text similar) tickbox always greyed out so you can't check/uncheck it? Tried it with the 737-800 and the 747. I want to fly my 747 without GPS-updating...Any ideas?Best regards,Stefan

Hi,Could somebody help advice me on how you would put the co-ordinates in the FMC if you was flying from Anchorage to Hong Kong but over the pacificas I tried one and it gave me a distance of over 7500nm away 47N13W other ones would be as example3700N/1800E 3735N/13559E3600N/1400W3100N/1600EWould appreciate any help offeredJason Thompson

In the 737-800 is the procedure to wait for max motoring before engaging the fuel levers or do pilots do it at 20% n2 instead of waiting.

hello fellow simmers, A while back I heard that you can customize the 737 6/7 flight deck, I've triwed to figure it out but can seem to get it. Although I'm sure im missing something very basic, how do I go about customizing it to match various airlines setup??

Hi,I own the PMDG 747-400 addon only (latest build).During mid-flight I was playing with the IRS systems. I switched off all three IRS, and the autopilot was controlling the aircraft normally.As far as I understand the autopilot should stop functioning, when all IRS systems off.Can someone shed some light on this matter. Thanks.
