Hello I have just loaded the Global Supply Systems 747-400Fand the sim atc does not read itthe ATC name is Jet Lift Is there anything i mite be doing wrong??thanksa3ifs40

1. When flying I have a green indicator in the pfd that says " irs 3 gps" it is green, The inertial systems are all ok , What does this mean and does it require action..2. When flying on a/p does the first office F/D also have to be engaged in addtion to the F/O . My deduction is that the first office f/d does not have to be engaged to use all of the autopilot functions if they are engaged at the captions station.Thanks Peter pmdg 747 cf-mmz

I've lately purchased the pmdg 747-400 queen of the skies and FS2crew and been amazed of the brillients in the product. but i've noticed that when i run the pmdg program i don't get any traffic or ATC does the program cancel it out or do i need to change settings some where or purchase seperate software again, i run traffic 2005 any help please thanks

After having no problems with flying the 747 and 747F, I now get a 'FS9 has encountered a problem and will close' warning if I try and fly using either of these planes. PMDG 737 still works fine.So, I decided to uninstall and reinstall these two planes using the add/remove software in Control Panel, but I get a setup.exe error when I click 'remove'.So, any advice as to how to uninstall these two planes. Can I just delete the relevant folders in FS9 and if so, which folders would those be?Thanks for any helpRenzo

Hi I did a post last week and someone was helpful in replying to me but I still cant solve the problem.I have FSNavigator and the pmdg export module, with all the Sid/Star, airac cycles installed in both. When I load a saved plan into the 747 fmc, and press exec, the plan goes to magenta and the first waypoint. The rest of the waypoints are white, and the plan looks fine.When I fly the 747 goes to the first waypoint fine, then just circles around it and doesn't go from the first waypoint to the next and so on?Wot am I doing wrong? Do I have to load the plan in FSNAV as waypoint to waypoint or hight altitude airways?Can anyone give me a step by step guide? I have read the …

Hello,I know this has been asked before but I cannot actually see an answer in the forum. If it is there apologies.Could somebody please let me know the correct format for making an entry in the ISA Dev/QNH on the Descent Forecast page. I understand what it is for and that standard temp is 15 degrees and what the QNH is but no matter what format I use I get an invalid entry message.Thanks very much for any help.BestDave

I am just wondering how many people are going to upgrade to FSX as soon as it is released? How many people are planning on waiting 6 months, or wait atleast a year?I will be waiting at least 6 months to see if it is really all that MS says it is going to be. Some companies that make add-ons say that they will only be making for FSX, but I bet if there is enough people that dont upgrade right away, these people will continue with at least some FS9 products. I know people that havent even upgrade to FS9 yet, and are still in FS 2002.Tell me what you are going to do.:) ???

I hate to be "that guy", but curiosity gets the best of me. I'm curious as to why there hasn't been an update in such a long time and why theres so little info about the MD-11? Is it still in alpha testing?

Isn't when I upgrade to the 400F the Sounds for all 3 engine variants supposed to change to there proper sound not just the 1 variant sound? And also how come there is essentially no APU sound? I understand none in the cockpit but there is none outside either. I work around 400s for NWA all day long and I'm kinda upset with the sounds. Everything else is superb. Thanks for any help or explanations.

Hi,My apologies if this question has been asked before. I don't seem now to automatically get the option for connecting to ground power after turning off the engines at the gate. I have the box checked in the options menu.I think this happened after the update or possibly after installing the 400F.If I return to the options menu and remove then replace the check I then have power available.Am I missing out on some procedure after arriving at the gate?Thanks for your help.Roger

While programing the fmc for a flight from ksea-keug I get the following fmc error message when I put keug in the dest lsk." keug err: 16 rwy unknown" I have the latest airac data. (06-08)Also when I select DEST/ARR and click on Arrival for keug there are no runways listed.

Hello All -Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched but came up empty. I've been out of the country for quite sometime and finally got back to simming! Anyways, I made sure my 747 was updated, etc. But it seems everytime I take off the Autopilot will not engage. Everything on the MCP shows working and selected. Autothrottle is unresponsive, and the TO/GA feature does not work. Did I forget to select something? or is it possibly FScrew?I've been away for quite sometime so sorry if i'm asking a dumb question!Thanks!Rob

Hi fellas! Just purchased PMDG 747 a week ago. Im so used to the default MS ATC stuff. But get me straight, when setting up flights on the PMDG do i still have to go to were i have to choose a destination were on MSFS you go to check weather your flying VOR or ILS? EX: When i open up FS2004, create flight do i just select a departure aiport? and do i have to set up a destination airport as well?And once in the game if i just set a departure airport with out a destination airport do i stil follow ATC intructions? Like when everything is set do i choose Departure straight out? North, East, West???These are th stuff i get confused. If someone could help me out like what to d…

Why cant i fly the 747 in a basic config.for exampleno fms! ( even if i program it and dont engage it)basic takeoff configsimply use a/t f/d, and heading Sometimes when things get complicated I want to go back to basics to get everything under control. so I engage the a/p and use the heading bug and alt.speed bug . But what happens is that the a/p just does what ever it wishes, never flys the selected heading , or it over flys the command. if i hit the alt button and select v/s it never follows the command.I use the vnav function and fl change, it never follows the command, even thought the fms is fully programmed, this is getting really frustrating, time to trash this pl…
