Hi guys,With the 747-400 I was able to save the position of the EICAS window. Everytime when I startup a saved situation, the EICAS window would be displayed at the last saved position. This is not the case with the 747-400F. It always shows up at the default position (on left side of the panel). Can anyone tell me, how I can save the position or what file I need to modify to specifiy the initial window position?Best regards,Mark

Why is the flashing A on constantly no matter what speed I set onthe autopilot of the PMDG 737-700.It just started doing this and I can't figure out why.

Hello,just a question. How can you adjust the "best" landing view in Virtual Cockpit mode in the PMDG 747. I just tried it with Active Camera, but the problem ist, i can't see my main instruments, Speed, altitude and so on.:( I tried to move slightly more back, but then the Captain's seat appears in sight if i move too far back.:( What can i do, to arrange that in that kind of way, that i can see all main instruments during landing using active camera or/ and without.Thanks in advance.Lukas

Ok, I hope someone might be able to explain what I've done wrong here. I want to fly a 737-700 from Frankfurt (EDDF) to Vienna (LOWW).My problem right now is programming the FMC in pre-flight for my -flightplan.I'm using FSBUILD for flight planning and I've got the following route down (note: i turned off stored routes and had it calculate one since the stored route only gave me DCT markers):EDDF - DCT > RIDAR - VIA UL605 > EGG - VIA UM749 > FRE - DCT > RINIG - VIA STO11 > LOWWI can program the FMC fine in the RTE page till RINIG. After I've punched in RINIG I go to the DEP/ARR page and go to LOWW Arrivals expecting to find the STO11 STAR via RINIG transiti…

Hi-I believe most of you already encountered problems with heavy planes like the PMDG 744s on particular airports, on which the plane is bumping, and at certain speeds, simply crash (during take-off or landings)This is due to the different materials runways are made of in FS .bgl, like 'concrete', 'asphalt', 'bitumus' ('grass' :( ) or such.A simple edit of the AFCAD file, default or add-on, solves the problem easily. What I've done many times. I change the runway property from 'bitumus' to 'concrete' or 'asphalt' and I'm on my way.However here's the question: is there a way so that PMDG planes dont crash on those bitumus runways. Hi,Watched a program on Discovery the other day that was about Helios Flight 522 that tragically crashed because the cabin pressure switch was in it's 'Manual' position from start instead of the normal 'Auto' position which left the a/c depressurized from start. Lots of alarms and warning messages should have been triggered by this during the climb phase but they found that maybe there was a problem with the a/c in that these different warning messages failed which in turn left the pilots unknown of the problem until it was too late and they passed out. Ok,I've been trying to fly Fred Clausens tutorial now twice from KJFK to KORD. I have no problems navigation with the FMC and operating it. All is fine. My question though is with regards to the T/D and when to begin the descent and how the autopilot does it?The tutorial says to begin the descent when about 30 NM out from the PMP marker. At this point you set your MCP ALT to 5000 and then jump into the FMC and set the PAPPI intercept to be at 200 / 5000. You then hit the DES page on the FMC and begin EXECUTE the descent to begin.We are still at ~39000 ft when we begin out descent 30NM out from PMP.My problem is when I execute this the autopilot descends at such a SLOW RAT…

I was landing in Boston on vatsim in the 747f , Flying inbound ,being vectored to intercept the ILS rnwy 22L .I was flying on hdging and alt.No vnav and lnav.I went to insert the freq manually into the navrad on the fmc and it would not let me do it.I received this message"invalid input"My gosh, it could not be any more simple than this, but something must have been incorrect. I even checked the freq 110.30 with the online controller.To my knowledge on the PMDG 747 that is the only way to enter the ils freq.???????????????Thoughts, this is perplexing.Must be something simplepeter

Hi,Whenever I arm the autothrottle the throttles automatically go up to about 30% and stick there.I can't use my Saitek throttle at all and I have to switch the A/T Arm swtich off to get control of the throttles back.Any ideas what can be causing this.thanks

I'm a new and happy PMDG 747-400 Passenger user. Started hearing an inconsistent external wind noise instead of the usual continuous hiss. This interval is about twice every second and is more an issue of volume level than silence. Take Off, Cruise; no problem, starts on descent going thru' FL 250 all the way to Ground. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Although I was a real world pilot, my understanding of programming and computer skills are limited. Thanks in advance. Hilton

Hi all,Im in need of some help regarding the opgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 the 737/6/7.Dureing the reinstall I got an error messege "PMDGOptions DLL version 1.0.3.20 is not the correct version and could not be opened" in other words im not able to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3.Can anyone help me out. Hi all, this may be and probably is a user error but i will ask anyway as I seem to miss the page in the manual everytime that tells me what the problem is.When i start a route all goes well, after a couple of waypoints the plane starts wandering about 45 deg one way and then 90 back the other and then back again, not following the list. there is no discontinuations at this point.any hints appreciated,PS think the Queen is great, a lot of detail maybe to advanced for some of us but how else do we learnJohn Ashmore

Hi,I am unable to achieve ANY autobraking - either on landings or RTOWith RTO the engines will go to idle but no autobraking at all.I have had some feedback to this previously but I am unable to resolve this problem and I would like to get this problem resolved.The default 737 autobrakes work as they should.I have reinstalled both 747-400 and 747-400F numerous times to no avail. I removed and reinstalled a clean version of FS2004 then reinstalled both 747s - no success. I do not have any joysticks attached to my pc. I am using Windows XP with all the service packs and updates installed.Any suggestions???regards Kenny

Hi there everyone,New to this so please be gentle if this is a more dumb question than it seems. Is there a way to upgrade the database of the FMC in the 600/700 737 that I have? The FMC in the PSS 777 Add-on I have has many more SID's/STARS in the database however I prefer flying the 737 as I find the Aircraft controls more realistic. Came to fly LFRS - EGNX and there are no SID's or STARS to route me correctly. Can anyone help? PS I keep reading about FSUIPC ?? What is it and why is it so important?ThanksJason

Could someone from PMDG tell us if the bitumus/macadam runway surfaces in FSX will affect the Queen in the same way they do in FS9, i.e. cause the plane to crash? Just curoius. If so, hopefully ther ewill be a working version of AFCAD so that we can change the surfaces.Andrew

If you really want to enhance your flight experience with the "Queen" then give Gamecommander a go. It is a brilliant voice recognition program that will activate keyboard strokes with a spoken word. Arguably it is the best voice recognition package out there. Virtually no voice training either. I have just downloaded the trial version from www.Tucows.com. It is limited to a 15 day trial period and you can only set up 5 keystroke commands but it gives a good feel for the program. You may have to temporarily reassign some commands and be careful when you do so that you do not inadvertantly operate some other function as well. I have it set up for selecting LNAV, VNAV, FLCH…

Hi All,I am the very happy owner of the 747-400 "Queen of the skies" for some days now. As a FS freeware developer myself (ACS-GPS, ACS-MD11, etc..) I must say that this "Queen" really stunt me !!!
