Hi, I'm currently on a cargo flight from PHTO -> NSTU and the #1 engine faulted about 30 mins ago and shut down. I could not get it started again.Now the port fuel tanks are showing an imbalance and the fuel will not pump in to the other tanks - I've tried cycling the pump switches to no avail.Currently fuel load is:Main1 = 30Main2 = 28.8Main3 = 28.7Main4 = 28.9Main1 FWD+AFT is on yet the fuel EICAS page does not show a green flow line to Main 2.Help! things are going to get distinctly lop-sided in the next hour and the landing would be hair-raising. I'm looking into dumping the fuel periodically to maintain balance.any advice?thanksChris N.

Good morning,I just wnated to know from pilots if this is realistic to do. Hi all,I have a problem with the 744 which is very annoying..when I insert a new leg / route into the FMC, the screen goes black for a few secs before displaying the updated route. The longer the route, the longer it takes to return from the black screen. :(Is there a solution to this? Thanks,D.

Gents,How would you setup the FMC for a touch and go flight? I am doing som VFR practice but would still like to have the FMC to calculate the reference speeds for me.Would I simply leave the route empty and only use the approach and take off page?Just curious how this would have been done in real life.Thanks Kjetil O

Hi guys, I see a lot of good repaints out there for the 747F. I'm surprised not to see any Northwest Airlines Cargo paints though. The reason why I bought the 747f was to use it flying cargo for Northwest airlines VA but PMDG and nobody else has made it :( anybody know if there is one out there or somebody working on a NW Cargo repaint?Thanks for your guys's time and fly hard.

Hello all!Because I'm beginning my 737NG typerating in the very near future I wanted to start flying in the EFIS/MAP mode but I found out that I am not albe to switch the display types on any 737 type.I fly the 737 for quite some time without problems but actually never tried to switch the display presentation but... for some reason it just doesn't work.I can select the airline, then the display type... click OK... but nothing changes.Anyone who can say what I do wrong or what the solution is?Regards

Gents,Tried to search this forum as I think I have read it before but no luck. Does anybody know how I enter a wpt or a fix circle from a RWY threshold?I know how to enter a fix or wpt from a normal waypoint but the "RWY18 180/1" does not work of course....Thanks in advanceKjetil Norway

Hi there, I recently reinstalled 747-400, a while ago I accidently deleted the sid/star text files that were in the PMDG SID/STAR folder.How do I get those text files back or where can I download them from?Kind RegardsGavin Moss

For some reason I never get ground power on the 747.Parking brake is set and have tried to get power at EGLL, EGKK, KJFK and LAX all to no avail.No major deal just that I really wanna see those lights light up !Chris S

With the new mission generator in FSX, down the road, this could provide a very usefull way for PMDG to add more value to its products. Detailed training scenarios and challenges could be created for specific planes. High fidelity mission packs could even be sold seperately for each plane. You guys may have already thought of this, but I thoguth I would trhow it out there just in case.Andrew

I am just trying to install my pmdg737-600/700 and the install hangs very early with skipping file C:windowsfontslucon.ttf and everything just grinds to a halt. Trouble is I am really desperate to get this working this weekend - can anyone help at all???I'd be really grateful.Thanks,Jonathan

Hi all,I have just reinstalled FS and have come to reinstalling the PMDG 736/7. However when i start the installer, it starts and then stops straight away when it is copying/skipping a file called arialn.ttf situated in C:/Windows/FontI therefore tried deleting the font but the installer still doesnt progress past that point and when i do CTRL-ALT-DEL...the installer is showing as 'not responding'Anyone help??Thanks

My flight is VHHH ---> YSSYIt's CRZ ALT is FL330, and there is a step climb to FL370I have checked that it is ok and ready to takeoffAfter a few hours (at FL330), in the display, there is a green "S/C" So I guest it is step climb to FL370, and the position is just calculated by the FMC which is the best position for a step climb. So I set the MCP ALT to FL370 and after the Aircraft pass the "S/C" point, I press the ALT button and ready to have a step to FL370However, FMC show a message "Check MCP ALT TGT"I have already checked the MCP ALT , it is 37000, which should be ok. So I just wait for the aircraft can climb to FL370 after "S/C", but the aircraft just stay at FL…

Dear All:I am trying to load NY, Long Island's Islip Airport (KISP) in the 737NG. I am getting an error message that says: "Error at line 58, line 57"Also, no runways are listed.Anyone know what this means and how to fix it? Not so long ago, I download AIRAC 0608. I believe I also installed the AIO SID/STAR files that correspond. I even checked the SID STARS folder - there is already one for KISP in there. Also, is the "latest SID/STAR database" no longer on the PMDG website?Lastly, are all the CURRENT AIRAC files (0610) now payware and no longer freeware at navdat.at?Thanks.Chris Catalano

I have a saved flight and FMC flightplan KJFK-KIAD, dep. rwy 31L, no SID. Every time I load this flight, the magenta course line shows the departure from the vicinity of the KJFK VOR and I am unable to change it in any way. It's very strange. If I re-enter the departure runway in the DEP/ARR page, it does nothing. Nothing I do can change the incorrect departure course line. The magenta line is always to my right (where the airport VOR is located) so that when I depart and click on the AP, the a/c flies slightly right to join this incorrect course line instead of heading straight out to the first waypoint 3-4 nm ahead.I have observed a similar corruption at one or two …

Morning all, (UK Anyway)I am playing around with Flight Saves at the moment and have a query for those in the know.I ran the beast up from cold & dark to the pushback stage. Everything up and running, APU OK etc etc. As a test I then saved, closed FS and restarted. When I reloaded the APU was off and various other switches were off (which I assume was 'cause the APU was off). I'm going to do another test and save the panel, see what happens but was it me? Did i do something wrong ?BTW the reason I am doing this is because last night after a 8 hour flight from India to UK on IVAO the sim crashed on me 70 miles from Gatwick. I picked up FSX Deluxe at my local Best Buy the other day. It looks gorgeous even on low-medium settings. The new terain mesh and textures are a huge improvement. The night textures are nice too. For now, however, FSX is just a pretty toy until the Queen is made compatible. Just for a lark, I fired up the default FSX 744. Ouch! What a dramatic difference. No FMC, crude autopilot, and a flight model that makes the plane feel like a Cessna 150 with JATO bottles. I don't think I ever even tried the FS9 default 744. Oh well, it was good for a laugh anyway, and really demonstrates how much PMDG has accomplished. Anyway, like many others here, I look forwad to the rel…

Does anyone notice that the PMDG 747 external lightings are all very small and dim, especially close-up? I have various other add-ons and they all come with very bright and normal size light bulbs, but PMDG 747 lights seem very small and dim. Does anyone know how these could be fixed?Lep

When I push a button for example, release the parking brake, the PMDG A/C wouldn't do a thing, it's just dead (again for view change button, flaps...)Other A/C such as cessena do not have this problem

Hi People !I just dowloaded LOWW and a week ago FS2Crew. Since then i have only troubles with my 744.Today I wanted to do a round in LOWW. So i programmed LOWW to LOWW and tried to put in SNU as a waypoint. The computer gives me since then alsways the message programm error - any point i wanna include get the same message. What is wrong.Second i downloade all the SID/STARS and tried to read the "navdata_sidstar_readme.txt" but there is no text - si dont kno what to do with all these *.txt files now.Third - Since i dowloaded the FS2Crew and changes the key assignments - I cant get the specific doors in 744 to work (open/close) I deinstalled even the FS2Crew but still cant …
