Good Afternoon Everyone, I am having some problems opening the doors of the 747, i have the doors set to Shift-E but when i hit that, they dont move. Could someone enlighten me. Daniel Johnson

First, thanks to everyone who helped me with the FMC...I got it completely configured for a flight and it worked as advertised. The main problem I'm having, and have had for every 737-800 flight (only 737 I've tried, to date), is that the aircraft goes way past Vr and eats up all sorts of runway before it will rotate and lift off. This isn't an FMC issue as it happens when hand flying OR with a fully programmed FMC and TO/GA activated. I've triple checked all my take-off settings for my GW, CG and OAT against the charts and all looks good to me. As previously threatened, I have just purchased the beautiful 737-800/900. I do not own the 600/700 but I'm just reading a tutorial for them which say's, "Open the Load Manager' and shows a depiction of same. I previously had the Queen installed but as recommended on the main PMDG Site, I uninstalled it and then installed the 737-800/900. Then, without further thought, I reinstalled the Queen. As far as I can see (I'm still in the steep learning curve area) everything is hunky dory. BUT, I don't have a 'Load Manager' for my 737. I have explored the CD (bought the retail version), I have searched the main PMDG Site but can't find anything about it. Do I have a corrupt inst…

I've had some time to ruminate about my purchase of the 737-800/900 and I'm beginning to think I should have purchased the 600/700 instead. The reason I've come to this conclusion is that much ado has been made by PMDG regarding the possible 'issues' involved with using the MSFS fuel/payload menu. Even the printed manuals that are included with my CD version, depict the PMDG Load Manager as a preliminary to actual flight (Quickstart Tutorial). I do not see any sinister intent on the part of PDMG because of this omission but it would have been reasonable, I feel, to at least mention it somewhere on the main PMDG Site. Greetings everyoneCan anyone help me? When loading FS2004 using a saved flight with the PMDG 747 (QoS)already been saved, the virtual cockpit doesn't appear until I re-select the aircraft (or another 744 livery). In its place I just get a view ahead with no panel.Minor niggle, I know!CheersJohn

Hi There,When I slect the PMDG 737 (any type) to load a flight, the game starts up with throttles speeding up to 100% automatically.Even when I disconnect all automated stuff (A/P F/D A/T) the throttles spool up all the time. I cant controll speed as the engines seem to be auto-throttled all the time.I tried this to solve the problem:- I load the 737, but the throttles go to 100% (nog a good situation)- I disconnetc all automated stuff. Lights/Switches are disengaged but... no effect at all... keeps autothrottling- I change plane to a learjet. Speed seems to be enabled! (weird because I disengaged it in the PMDG 737) I disengage it.- Switch to PMDG and it works fine now.I…

has anyone succesfully gotten a 744 out of La Paz, Bolivia (SLLP)? I flew in there over the weekend and had a downright scary time getting out. The 13,000 foot elevation made the 12,000ft+ runway feel like it was 5000 feet only. My weight was around 750,000. If anyone has been succesful doing this please share some tips. Thanks!! Also another question regarding the pilot's point of view in the vc. The view makes it seem like you are sitting on top of the center line when lined up for takeoff. Just wondering if you guys can help me... I'm trying to install the new cathay BCF and air force one livery. Infact this is happening with all the livery marked new. I get and error saying "Installation can not continue. You do not have flight simulator installed." Offcourse I have fltsim9 and FSX both installed, I even started up pmdg 747 to make sure all is well. Thanks for the help.Joe

Captains-I've replaced the Singapore 400 PAX installer on our server as of 0600Z/23OCT06.It is now correctly operating!Sorry for the confusion- had a minor typo in there- but you know how computers are- they do as you tell them, not as you would imply for them to do. ;-)In case you missed my notam from last night- the KLM ASIA download link is now fixed also!

Hello... just a quick question. I've loaded all the necessary info in the FMC, but somehow, whenever i am at the tresh-hold and want to engage the auto-throtle, this one won't engage, and a light illuminates in the front panel near the ND. Thus, i have to T/O and climb with the throttle manually... For the info, the Flight director swith is turned on. The A/T throttle WILL NOT turn on. I have tried to find the answer in the manual, and unless i missread or didn't find the appropriate answer, i'd love someone to help me with this one...Cheers.Mat

I just went to the Harvey Norman Computer Superstore at Bennetts Green, NSW and was told they won't have any copies until some time in November!Seems odd and, to be honest, annoying that the rest of the world appears to get FSX a month or two ahead of us. Hi, when flying the 747 and 737 i very often can see parts of the 2D cockpitwhen in other cameramodes like outside. it is typical the engines indicatorsand lines on the ND that shows. it isnt very visibel (depending on the background)but if i take i close look i can see it.i have had the same problem though many hardware configs.anyone else have this problem?

I won't ask when these are due out as I'm sure PMDG would tell us if they knew for sure. What I would like to ask however is before I go out and purchase an Engravity CDU, will work be done to make it so the CDU works with the new 737 and/or A320 as it does with the current 737NG? Also, I presume the CPFlight MCP will work with the new 737? And will it be possible to make thge MCP work with the Airbus, or is an Airbus MCP completely different to a 737NG MCP? Cheers.

Maybe about a month ago i made a topic about this but since no one seemed to care about it i soon forgot about it.But recently this has been bugging me and i just had to give it another go. Anyway on most notably on the KLM and Air New Zealand(There's possibly more) livieres the flaps and main landing gear covers (i think there called) have no texture there just blank white please don't take offence but im very surprised that this error got past beta.Will this error possibly be addressed with the FSX compatibility patch and if not does anyone know a quick fix for this?Doh!! sorry i keep for getting to sign my nameRegards,Ryan

Hi everyoneWould someone who is well-experienced in creating repaints be able to make a repaint for the Qantas 75th Trans-Pacific Anniversary 737-838 (VH-VXP) for the PMDG 737-800? Pictures of this aircraft are available on airliners.net by searching for the registration. There are at present 56 photographs on the database.There is no true PMDG repaints for Qantas's 737-800 fleet. The only one I can find is a repaint for the 737-700, which is not real because Qantas does not (to my knowledge) operate any 737-700's, only 737-400's & 737-800's.So if someone could do this (and maybe one other plain normal 737-800) for me, I would be thrilled.Thanks,

How do i light up everything in the cockpit and virtual cockpit in my PMDH 747? and how od i open up my nose in 747 cargo?

As with many addon developers PMDG reccomends that we use a seperate sound card.Q1) Does this free up resources for FS or does it just improve sound quality (assuming the sound card is a better spec than the on-board audio)?Q2) Is there then any advantage when running FS to use a sound card who's quality is not as good as teh on-board audio?

Hey Ryan as per Robert's post earlier I sincerely hope u will beposting a list of twaks as right now FSX on my system anyways is pretty much unflyable with FPS in the single digits even with most sliders cranked waaay down and I have a pretty good ssytem so I really need your help!! thanksJohnCYOW
