    Hi Guys,I just completed EGLL-KSFO (The popular Virgin 19 flight). During the flight, I had to run out to do some errands for a few hours, and was gone longer than expected. Because of this, I missed the time to close the outside crossfeeds, and my fuel levels in mains 2 and 3 ran much lower than 1 and 4. So, by the time I was in approach to KSFO, mains 2 and 3 ran out, and the engines shutdown (nothing like this happening after 11.5 hours).I had to quickly add a little bit of fuel via the PMDG menu so that they would come back online. After that, the approach and landing was good.So, my question is, if I miss the window of opportunity to close the crossfeeds so that…

    If it's not too late, I would sincerely appreciate it if the nextgen FMC SIDSTARS source coding would accept either DD MM.MM or DD MM SS; wow, what a time saver that would be when manually tuning the procedures. If you didn't change anything else this would be nice.However, if you were to change other things, my wish list includes:- Radius-to-fix segments- Altitude constraints that worked- VNAV Path calculation that accepted constraints as constraints rather than targets.     i sometimes get problems with my 747 when using HDG SEL. What happends is that when i select a new heading, the aircraft sometimes just continue turning past the selected heading and never stops. I have to turn of the AP and so on. Does anyone else have this problem?Roar

    Hi, I have been flying the queen for 2 months and have about 140hours up. I have only been flight simming for eleven months and am completely addicted. I admit to using autoflight from 2000AGL on takeoff all the way to an autoland. Recently i have been inspired to geta bit "hands on" so i have tried getting established on the ILS and disconnecting the autopilot at 500 feet to land manually. But contrary to the cardinal rule of flying, the airplane gets ahead of me. i have got the glideslope down pat but i seem to drift off the localizer and am unsure of how to correct ( aileron or rudder, or both).     hi guys. ijust puchased PMDG747-400 but not sure how to use the FMC.Am i be able to enter my own waypoint in FMC because it hasn't preprogrammed in it.Here is the situation. The SID said the airplane should follow the track 160 and when at 4nm DME,turn right and track direct to ALBAK.I can input the ALBAk(which is preprogrammed already in fmc) but can i input the 4nm at 160 track by myself?     Hi,Although it is not a PMDG related issue, thought I might ask for some advise or suggestions here about an annoying issue I've started to have recently.Right upon touch-down, the sim suffer a micro-stutter, not even half a second. Happens only at touch down, nothing to do with others well known 'stutters'.I first thought it was related to the PMDG heavies, but it's NOT.Had the idea to test with the default Cessna, and I also get this micro stutter.I recently suffered a PC power supply crash, fortunately it did not damage anything else on the computer(yeah I 've been lucky).     Hi everyoneCorrect me if I am wrong, but I think that I recall in a post on this forum that the MD-11 would be released for FS9 before FSX is available? If this is true, then the MD-11 will be available in September or early October as FSX is due for release in October 2006.Can someone from PMDG provide some feedback on this because I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the MD-11.Thanks,Matthew

    Hi there one and all, I am hoping but I am quite sure that they will not include into the MD-11 is a weather radar. Seems like all the new packages nowadays that are comming out for FS2004 includes a weather radar which takes their realism one step up from PMDG!!! Although is it not accurate but I was just hoping that they will include it in as they have conviently skipped it for the B747-400F after some requests for it probably also to rush it out as soon as possible too before more and more requests like (different cockpit configurations, etc come up) but I hope this time it is being intergerated in.     My scenery is cut off in the distance and I dont know why or how to change it. The ground is only visable for 30 or 40 miles then just blank. The water is even worse, a pitch black line is drawn about 30 miles around the plane all directions. Whats up with this, how do I fix?Thanks, Alex

    I just today began to have crashes while taking off. So I did the standard re-install procedure and still crashing before even leaving the runway. I had 1/3 fuel supply accepted all default takeoff speeds. I am sure this has been discussed before but hopefully someone has a quick fix for this?Any help would be appreciated.RegardsRick

    A few days back I mentioned I had made a new tool for usage with PMDG's B747-400F. I have now finished adding all the features I had initially planed (so don't expect more updates in the near future).     Today i encountered an intereesting scenario wherein I programmed the fms fully in the 747 and took off. I did engage the FD and AT , but decided to fly to the first fix using Heading Hold and Alt hold and that worked out well, I then engaged lnav and vnav, and that worked as well and I proceeded on course. BUT, when i pressed the cmd buttons on the autopilot it did not light up or engage. I would have thought it should be lit when the lnav and vnav is engaged. Is there is some reason the cmd button does not light up if the autopilot is engaged and the aircraft is following the programmed fms.Peter

    Guy's after tower clear me I spooled up the engines for take off the #1 spoled up with no problem but the #2 stayed at idle althrought the both throttle's were pushed forward on my 737-900. I taxied off the runway shut down both engine's and restarted with no problembut when I spooled up both again but only the #1 engine max out the #2 engine only spooled up to 22% of N2 what am I not doing or doing wrongthank's muchAlvin B

    Hi allWhen using the manual fuel planning method, ie. the one in the manual, when choosing a flight level column for the burn and with ref to the fuel burn correction, what flight level do you use?? Your final planned level, or your initial flight level. I always seem to have soooo much fuel left over when i get to destination, once i even had to dump to get down to MLW.Jason

    Hi Guys,What is the 747-400's maximum endurance?In order to do some testing I need to pick a really really really long route to fly. I want this one to be at the very extent of the range the 747-400 can travel. Think empty cabin and cargo hold and tanks all full to the brim.I have done the 16 hour ORD-HKG United Airlines one, and that's probably sufficient if nothing else is out there, but if an even longer flight were possible I'd love to hear it.Has anyone done anything like this before?Appreciate any help here.ChrsMark
