Well , maybe I have missed it..., but today I have seen a video of a demo in Spain of FSX (7/24/06), and finally Microsoft has included an AIRBUS (seems an A-320) in FSX. There seems to be a cutoff line in the distance when flying. It is VERY unrealistic looking, I always have just try to overlook it. Anyone know how to get rid of it?Thanks ,Alex

Hi there,I was flying into Zurich LSZH airport today and tried to fly the Rwy 35 BLM1G STAR, with a GIPOL transition. I programmed this into the 737NG FMC but it was riddled with DISCO's. Is this a problem with the Navdata or is it something i'm missing with the FMC progrmming? Do i have to update these DISCO's manually.I'd appreciate any help you can give,RegardsDaniel

I've just bought a wireless keyboard but the F2 button doesn't activate the thrust reverser (737). How do I asign the key please as rverse thrust doesnt sem to be i the drop down commands in the FS assignments menu. I don't have a registered FSUIPC.

Good day all.Just a question regarding the real life operations of the 737NG.When in the PMDG aircraft and using the engine instruments to show on the lower EICAS for secondry engine readouts the panel can also be used to show control surface commands/movements.However, when you set the engine instruments to be all on the upper EICAS, the lower EICAS is inop. You can't get any reading of the control surfaces. Is it like this in real life? I have looked on Airliners.net for images and it would appear so.This is not bothering me, I was just curious as to why this would be made this way by Boeing. What is the point of installing a lower EICAS for customers who go for the…

Hi there,I've just been reading "Updating Terminal Procedures Explained" by Terry Yingling, who mentions his home site as being http://home.sw.rr.com/filesherenow/index.html. But when I try to access this site, I get an error message: "The web page cannot be found".Can anyone please tell me whether Terry has a new site and, if so, its address?I have already downloaded the http://www.navdata.at. Hi,I'm trying to run through a tutorial by Bernardo Srulzon from fsstation.com with a flightplan from SBBR to SBGL. http://www.fsstation.com/tutorials/boeing-pmdg-737ng.htmlI have downloaded and installed the newest AIRAC 0608 and the new SID/STAR cycle 0608 correctly. When I try to place runway 11 in my FMC I get the FMC-message "not in database". I've been reading on NAVDATA.COM that there have been some problems with rwy-misalignments in the 0608, but these problems have been solved two days ago.Am I doing something wrong?Best RegardsLars - DK

Hello PMDG Team,is there any chance that the Lufthansa fans around the PMDG 747-400 could get a 'GO' callout instead of 'V1' recorded? :)I know this might sound a bit rediculous but I am trying to make it a bit more 'as real as it gets' and this shouldn't be too much of an effort to provide us with a different wave file, should it?I would change it on my own, but I don't want to break PMDG's regulation nor do I want to hear my own voice during take off.Ok crowd, you can jump on me now ;).

I am embarrased to say it but I hosed my sound config on the 744. I was trying to edit the sound file to add sounds for external start up and shut down and somehow now I am missing a bunch of sounds and i have some sounds playing at the wrong da** time. For example startup sound when I lower flaps. can someone email me the version 5.0 original sound cofig, I thought I had backed it up, but I guess not. Also, I occasionally get (when I am hand flying on takeoff) a warning on the EICAS "ENG 1 RPM Limiter" "ENG 2 RPM Limiter" and the same for ENG 3 and 4. Guy's for the life of me I can't seem to set the nav radio's up for a I.L.S landing with the 747's. Ive read the manual and it just does not give me the info I need. Hi All,I was hoping you'd be able to help me with some difficulties i'm having with the 744 (PAX).I'm really starting to get to grips with firing the queen up, taking off as you should and getting up to cruise altitudes - no problems and a whole lot of fun!The problem I'm having is that, once i start the decent stage of the flight, I still don't know which runway i will be assigned to land on when I get to my destination. I only really find out at 30 - 50 miles out by which time it's really too late to add waypoints to put me onto a STAR approach path.I tried making a few educated guesses but of course the wind has changed direction by the time I reach my destination!I'm …

It seems the 737 bird banks excessively during the cruize phase. I re-execute the next leg and it helps alittle but seeems alittle un-real. Any thoughts reguarding this or similar behavior would be helpful. Thanks you all.Alex

I've made a frightening experience on two flights with the 744 (once the pax, once the cargo version):less than 10 nm before touchdown, the AP suddenly switched itself off. The was previously well established on the LOC and GS, speed was around 170, flaps correctly set, etc... to say that everything was "normal" as in my other 60 or so landings (most of them ILS autoland).Trying to go around by selecting HDG SEL and V/S mode to fly the pre-programmed GA, the autopilot first didn't switch on, and when it finally did it was only to switch itself off again after a few seconds. Hi there allI have a few niggling questions regarding PMDG 747 I have acquired over the last few months. I was hoping some of you out there might have the knowledge to help me a little with them?1) On a long flight, e.g. WSSS/EGLL, the centre fuel pumps "ask" to be turned off when centre tank quantity is at 0.9 tonnes. The remaining fuel is then fed into the Main Tank 2 - which obviously makes its quantity 0.9 tonnes heavier. When it comes for Tank to Engine configuration, i often get an >XFEED CONFIG caution. This can be corrected easily enough - I was just wondering if this happens on the real 744, and if it does, do 744 pilots worry much about a 0.9 tonne diffe…

Gents,In EFIS98 FMC it is possible to define if a waypoint is a "fly by" or or "fly over" waypoint. Is this possible while in flight to define on the PMDG747-FMC?I know its possible to define it in the STAR text file. But I want to do it in flight if needed.I dont know if this is possible in real life, just know it is possible in EFIS98(maybe that is based on the Airbus system).Reason for this is that sometimes I think the shortcuts are a bit too big....Thanks Kjetil

Hi,A few questions about the PMDG aircrafts - hope to get some answers:(1)I have 737NG and find the aircraft fantastic! The 747-400 should be even more spectacular. Have the PMDG group used some other programming techniques to create the "Queen of the Skies"?(2)I consider to buy the 747-400 but the FSX is "just around the corner".
