Hello everyone,I have been using the Queen of the Skies with no problems at all for the past couple months. However, just today I purchased and downloaded the 744F. During installation I am given this error:"File ErrorThe following error occured on the file 'C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesFlight Simulator 9GaugesPMDG_747400_ACS.gau'.Access is denied.(0x5)Abort - Retry - Ignore"If I ignore, I am given the same error message with the other 747400 gauge files. I found another post from a while back with this same problem. It was resolved by deleting the state.cfg file. However, this does not work for me. Hello,just tried to fly from TJSJ to TNCM, but when I write down TNCM as my destination airport in the FMC, it says something like "ERR in line 25 VMCDEP"...and after that i can't choose any RWY or SID/STAR. I have the latest AIRAC 608 and the latest SID/STAR update.Have someone the same problem and solved it?Thanks for help.Lukas

When i use the PMDG 737 aircraft, what ever cruz altitude i chose the aircraft goes past it because i use level change to climb and decent what should i do because i want to fly this aircraft

I've got FS2K4, and it crashes everytime I load the 737NG. I have no idea what's going on. I've run the update, loaded the latest AIRAC, and downloaded SIDS/STARS.What's the deal with this?!!!Jeff

Good Afternoon All,I, too, have had the CTD problem and decided to re-install. After removing from the AddRemove menu, I started to re-install my purchased version, which is PMDG747_400_V1R2, purchased on 8-13-05. I will be leaving for college in a few days and fear my t.v size tube monitor will not fit in the tight dorm. Anyone have any opinions on LCD monitors that work well with FS? I'll try to stay off of it as much as I can and keep my mind on college but can you imagine having to stop simming?????Alex

Hi, I have a few questions about the life of a commerical pilot:1) what do you eat in long haul flight? Do u eat what a J class PAX eats? or your meal is somehow different from what a PAX eats? (I read a book which was written by an BA pilot and he mentioned in his book that there are some rules on pilot's meal, such as 2 pilot cannot eat at the same time, and they cannot eat the same kind of food) 2) What do u do during leisure time? I know that after a long haul flight(a round trip), u get a week to rest in home, what do u do during that time? I've just started using PMDG 744/744F and WOW, what an add-on. This is definately by far the best simulation out there!!I just wanted to make some suggestions for any future improvements from the things that I've picked up while using this product.1) Spool up lag is the wrong way round. It should be greatest at low power and between 50%N1 and upwards, spool up should be pretty quick. For some reason the greatest lag is from 70% upwards.2) Speed tapes should move when the flaps reach their commanded position, not when the lever is moved.3)pressing DES NOW before reaching the profile causes the aircraft to descent at a rate which means it will never intercept the idle profi…

Hey guys, I have only recently started using FSBuild to plan my flights accurately and all I can say is I'm sorry I didn't get my copy earlier. However, I have noticed some discrepancies regarding fuel burn when using FSBuild for fuel planning purposes. Namely. My 744 will burn about 4000 lbs above what FSBuild predicts for climb but during cruise I end up saving up on fuel since FSbuild estimates a higher than actual fuel burn. Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the procedure for installing different lesson plans for the 747 type rating course #2. I can't get it to register in the "select a flight " category when I start MSFS. I seem to have the different lessons ie,1. Start up. 2. Taxi etc. I'm unsure about copying files to correct locations. also the .sav,.flt,.wx. files. Any recomendations? Thanks, James.

Hey Everyone!I'm having things on the PFD overlap on the widescreen display I have on my laptop. I imagine that things do get a little stretched... but thats all a layman like me can tell from what I behold.Would appreciate any help on how I could tweak around the issue to get my displays straightened out. I've got a problem with my PMDG B738NG. This morning on a Flight from Gatwick to Glasgow my Radio failed; I was unable to change Frequencies at all. Only the Transponder could be changed. The Radios failed after takeoff, having been working perfectly up to then. I had a similar problem a month ago; but in that case they resumed woking properly after about 10 minutes.Help would be greatly appreciated.KenSomerset, England

I realize that we need to download the latest AIRAC-file from http://www.navdata.at/php/airac/airac.php, but as I understand things, Richard Stefan has found discrepancies in the most recent release. Can someone please tell me if this has been fixed, and if so, WHICH file I should now download from Richard's site for the PMDG 747-400? Is it the PIC-PMDG_0608.zip file?? Thanks for your help! :-)

A week or so ago I wrote about the flap built in to the aileron. Well I finally found out how to move it to show you guys. Press CTRL SHIFT 4 all at the same time and hold it. If you can have the outside view going you can see the mini ailerons. I almost diverted back to houston mid-flight because I was having major problems controlling the plane. Im wondering if there is a gauge for how they are set. Kind of like the trim, to make sure there in the right position.Thanks, Alex

First off.....I did purchase a copy leagllyOkay, I used my friends copy of PMDG 747 and i REMOVED and purchased my own.Now the validation just hangs, I turned off my firewall but it will not validate. I put in the product # and correct email and my name.And it shows in the windows task manager window thats its running and also several files of pmdg running in the background..Also, I cannot get one of the files to stop even when I tell task manager to quit that .exe file from running.I have to restart my machine.So, whats the deal?

Hey,I checked the failures page for the first time,and decided to do a random failure once in a while,then I saw that it will only do in 10 hours.for example,If I'm flying long flights that take more than 10 hours??so every flight I will have a failure...is there any way to do that for example in 100 hours?Thanks,Erez

Helo!I' ve bought the 400F version about a week ago.I didnt have time to test it until yesterday.When i use the pushback tool on the com panel i've got Hyd 1 and 4 system fault message and i cant start the engines anymore.Until i've installed the 400f the tool worked fine in the 400 pax version.If i use Shift+P there is no problem.Any idea why?Is it a bug?Am i do something wrong?Tha APU is runing and bleeding.I did everything the same as with pax version.Please help!!!!Gyula

Does anyone know what are the differences between and PW 744 and GE 744, apart from the engine indications. i went on airliners.net to try to find them in pictures. i found that in the RR engined planes there are 2 fire bottles per engine, not per wing like on the GE and PW. and the only thing i can see with the PW was that there is no autostart button on NWA 744s, i dont know if thats just a northwest thing or a PW thing. any help would be appreciatedAdam

Good morning allIs it possible to actually place some of the variety of windows from this program e.g fO viewcom miscthrottleson seperate monitors using wideview or other programs, has anyone had any luck with this?Currently I am using 2 monitors with widefs . The second monitor connected to the second computer is typically running wx , sqb3 and other vatsim toolsThere sure is allot of clutter on this main sceen when flying the 747 so I wonder if anyone has had any luck with this type of installation.Regards Peter
