Sometimes (like today) the FMC of my 737NG remains cold and dark after switching the master battery on. All displays are lit, but not the FMC. It doesnot matter if I use ground power, the APU generator of even start the engines. Can anybody help?Hans HartveltThe Netherlands

Hello,My problem is that the plane won't follow the course, like it is programmed on the fmc. vnav and lnav are armed just before takeoff, and the a/t is also armed.at about 2500 ft, i engaged the autopilot.Now when i moved my joystick the autopilot goes out, i try to re-engaged it, but i have to fly manual the right course and alt. What could be the problem?thanks,candlebe

How have you setup FS9/744 to work better with TrackIR?I have TrackIR4 and have had difficulty setting it up so the I can view/operate the overhead switches and also for the console between the seats. In other sims like LockOn I don't seem to have this problem.I have an X-52 HOTAS and I've mapped one of the hats to moving the eye point forward/back/left/right. This has helped but but its not *that* convenient. I was hoping to just twist my head down/right to see this. How have other people solved this problem?I haven't had much luck making it easy to see/work with the overhead switches. What I find is that when I look up, I'm zoomed in to only a small section of the overh…

Has anyone ever seen the pmdg 800 900 in air canada colors. I know that air canada only had a 737-200 but I love flying this aircraft and it would be good if I could use my fav air canada's colors..??thank youPeter

Cycle 0608 procedures available in the AVSIM 2004 Flight Plans library (cycle0608_sidstars.zip). The total collection includes 31 locations, but only 27 made it into this upload. The remainder will be uploaded tonight (I got in a hurry I guess).New procedures include two new RNAV DPs at KLAX and a new RNAV GPS approach at KSTL Rnw 29. All changes and additions are listed in an enclosed file (cycle0608_revisions.htm). The DPs for KLAX have all been updated to include routing to first DP fix in accordance with lost comm procedures for those using RadarContact or no ATC.All procedures will also be uploaded to NAVData tonight.All procedures have been tested, but please let me…

Hi GangI have the 737NG and 744 installed and runing fine. My question is, if I buy the 738-9 can I simply install it or do I have to uninstall everything and re-install the 737NG + 738/9 + 744?2nd: Does the 738/9 have airstairs? I didn't see any mention of them.ThanksBill

Hi,I'm suffering from CTD's whenever I try to load the PMDG B737NG's. Default start-up is Cessna, and I can select any PMDG 737 fine, but when I select the airport my PC will CTD after a short loading time. No problems with any other aircrafts (incl. the PMDG B747). I searched this forum but so far without any resolvement. Last night I purchased the PMDG 737-800/900 and im totally impressed blah blah blah......its pmdg what would you expect. Anyways this morning I departed Newark's 22L which is by no means a short runway. It took me the entire length to get off the ground I was alittle nervous when full back pressure was applied at 145kts and nothing happoned. My gross weight was about 160k. Flaps ten. Trim was not touched but it looked to be around the usual 5. Also a derated takeoff of 24k was used. Im hoping there is some way to make this bird faster or lighter. Alex

Hello, as I was in cruise this afternoon I came to check up on my EWR-SFO 738 flight. The FMC had displayed the check mcp altitude message, so I went to my legs page and FL340 was manually entered for the next 1000 miles of legs. The autopilot was also set to 34000 so I dont understand exactly what I needed to "check" or if this is a bug.Thanks Alex

Here's another question for you PMDG experts - it concerns the B737-700: I normally have no problem with selecting V/S, but right now it won't engage.I was flying on A/P HDG and LVL CH, then used VOR/LOC to capture a course to a VOR - this is the only unusual (for me) factor on this flight. The FMAs show MCP SPD/Blank/ALT HOLD. The gear's down, I'm sitting over the FAF at approach altitude, and I've just arrived at Vref+5 with landing flaps. Hi,First let me say PMDG has basically brought VC flying into a new era of flightsimming with the likes of the 744 and soon MD11. But as spectacular as the 744 VC is, there are still a few things missing from current VCs which would totally improve the level of detail and appearance. One thing for sure which would polish things up a bit would be to have light reflections on the CDUs, i.e. glare on the PFD or EICAS , perhaps even seeing reflections of pilots, or back of the cockpit on these displays. I hope you get an idea of what I'm trying to suggest, perhaps someone could indicate whether this sort of thing will be seen in future PMDG products?Tristan

Hi all,Had it been reported already that there seem to be some issues with the updated sounds of the 744s, talking about the updated soundset which comes with the 744F.The crackling sounds disappeared, that's the good point.The overall sounds is a real improvement over what it was when the first 744 was released.However...Sounds in external view dont play all the time the way I think they should.The start up sounds plays only if you star engine 4 or 1 first. If for some reason you want to start engine 3 or 2 only, no sounds in external view, although the sounds in the cockpit view plays normally. No sound at all either when the engine is running.About this external start…

I noticed how hard the engines are running in the last bit of the intitial climb. Even though I switched to an ititial derated climb, it seems my selection was overridden eventually resulting in a 100 percent N1 climb up to 33k. Is that normal, is there a way to keep my initial reduced climb current?Thanks Al

Hi All,I have had the PMDG 744 (which is basically excellent and the most accurate I have seen to date) for some time using the Go Flight throttle quadrant. The thrust levers and reversers all work fine, but I cannot get the flaps or speedbrakes to work correctly. In flight the speedbrakes flick fully up and down with the speedbrakes in the armed detent, and the flaps will not work at all.I have seen posts regarding the CH products throttle quadrant but none for the Go Flight.Does anyone have any ideas?I have tried removing all allocations in flight sim and using just the Go Flight software, and vice-versa.Any help would be much appreciated,Mark
