Hi all,I purchased yesterday the 744F and I am very happy, notably because it also fixed many small issues I had with the pax 744.I have a question though: looking into the textures folder of the 744F, those textures I got from the PMDG download area, I see there are lots of unused 744 textures.Do all those "PMDG_744_..." texture need to remain in there, instead of only the "PMDG_744F_..." ones? I doubt it, but prefer to ask.Not only it's a waste of space on the HDD, but I was wondering if it didnt cause a loss of frame, even if those unused textures arent mapped on the 744F models.Regards,

Using real world weather I often get wind changes which can be as much as 80kts in a split second. Often shooting my plane up into the air as the autopilot desperately tries to maintain airspeed? Any way to overcome this???Thanks, Al

Hi guys, I am using onboard sound card (ie sound card that builded in the mother board) and i found that it has a huge impact on the speed of my computer when 'sound' is enable in FS2004. However, could somebody tell me that if i go and buy a sound card (e.g. sound blaster), will my computer be faster when playing fs2004 with 'sound' enabled (i don't much care about the sound quality since my speaker isn't pro though).thanksben

Zurich (LSZH), has six runways but only two with ILS approach. These are #14, and #16. I was planning to do an ILS landing on Rwy 16 on a heading of 156, when the ATC assigned me to Rwy 34 on a heading of 336. Rwy #34 has no ILS.In the FS 9 Boeings, one can tune the Nav1 radio to the ILS Rwy 16, and fly in to Rwy 34 using the Rwy 16 ILS by activating the BC (back course) button.There is no BC button on the PMDG B 737NG7 600/700. I had to do a manual alignment with the runway, and landing. Is there anyway to do a BC ILS landing on the PMDG B 737NG 600/700?Also in the ND (navigational display) map mode,when descending for a landing, I note a vertical line bar on the ri…

Hi all,I was wondering if there is a way to have a view over the wingspan of the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies looking out through a passenger window? I have downloaded and installed the Flight 1 module for moving around the virtual cockpit & cabin. Hi all,what would be a realistic button assignment on a CH Flight Sim Yoke for the 747-400 compared to the real yoke?Even if not all real buttons can be duplicated (e.g. for lack of a sufficient number), having a few functions where they actually appear on the real thing would be nice.Thanks in advance.

Hello all.I am new to this forum - hoping I can get some help here.......I have just purchased the 1.3B boxed version of the 737 NG 600/700 series.I am having trouble with the cold and dark starts. I run the cockpit preparations as in the introductory flight in the manual, and everything seems to go well up to the engine start.As instructed I go to start the right engine first, turn the ignition start to IGN right,turn the right ignition knob to GRD - and......nothing! The start valve open light on the main panel does NOT show. I also get on the overhead the low pressure light warning above the ENG 2 Hydraulic pump B switch. Hello,Whenever I enter data into the FMC and make one mistake after the first page of entering origination and destination, I get an "Invalid Delete" indication and can no longer enter data into any of the pages. 'Pressing' the button on the FMC only continues to show "Delete", then "invalid delete" and does not clear the line and is common on all the pages.Any thoughts?Thanks!

On the climb page of my 737, the target climb speed is 293/.78 . These figures can vary greatly especially before 30k feet. So which on is it? Am I supposed to maintain 293 or .78? Also I have noticed with real world weather and those massive wind changes, it drives my VNAV wild rapidly pitching up or down to maintain airspeed, so I frequently find myself manually climbing the airplane to cruise alt. Anyone found ways to get around this??Thanks, Al

Hey, im a big PMDG fan and I really love the 744, but some things bother me, it states in the FMC that the PW model has PW 4062 engines, but they only have 58,000 Lbs, instead of 62,000The RR 211-524G are correct, but is it the G model or the G/H-T ?If its the G 58,000 Lbs thrust is correct if not 60,600 Lbs are correct.And it states thet the 744 has GE CF-680C2B5F with 58,000 Lbs but this is also wrong. The 80C2B5F should have 60,000 Lbs I would like this to be clarified, because it really is confusingThe 4062 is only used on 1 airline op. the 744 so keep or change it to the 4056The rr 211-524G/H-T is more spread than the older G so change that aswell.The 80C2B1F is al…

I have a CH Yoke, pedals, and throttle set. I have set up all my axes and stuff in FSUIPC and it all works pretty well.I do have 2 problems, however, that I can't get right.First, I have the spoilers assigned to one axis on my throttle quadrant. I have it calibrated correctly and it works fine, except it seems to over-ride the autospolier function. Thus, when I land, even though I have the spoilers correctly "armed", they do not deploy when I touch down. This happens even when I "arm" the spoilers the old way using the mouse and clicking on the panel (i.e. not using the lever at all).I have the same problem with the auto brakes. Hi ! I got a question about the MD-11 range. The thing is the MD-11F should only have a range of MD-11F - Range 7242km (3910nm). But I have seen many flights with the so called normal MD-11F over that range how is that possible????.My only guess would be it is an converted F from PAX with the same range as the normal MD-11 pax has, Range with 298 passengers and reserves 12,633km (6821nm). Fedex for example has no MD-11 F/ER and still flies KMEM-RJAA and PANC-ZSPD. Fedex I assume has some converted MD-11 Cargo F from PAX to be able to do this or am I wrong??So my question to PMDG is will you just make the MD-11F with the normal 3910NM range or the converted range of I assu…
