  2. When you engage the second AP for an autoland and have tuned the Nav 2 radio to the destination ILS as well as Nav 1, is the display on the PFD still supposed to read "Single CH" down to the 1500 AGL confidence self-check, or should it read "Dual CH"?Thanks!Jonathan Sacks

    Gidday guys,I have just put a speil about Go-arounds on wikipedia.Think I might have screwed up the placing of it though as I was uncertain of how to post it from the sandbox. I did a move instead which might have been wrong. My post appears in both the sandbox and the moved post. If I delete the sandbox text entry the moved one's text entry disappears too. What happens when you save in the sandbox?Could some kind soul please sort it out for me and tell me where I screwed up?ThanksSteve

    Hi all,I have a probably stupid question, but I didn't find an answer on the forum.Before takeoff I set my throttle at 70% N1 as I read in many tutorials. Then I press to/ga switch. N1 rise up and the 747 start the take off. After a while (still on the runway) throttle setting goes back to 70 % so I have to advance my throttle to full power to continue the take off. Is it normal? I don't understand how to/ga and auto thrust interact each other.Thanks in advanceAndrea

I am having trouble with the following1. i try to export to the pmdg 737 and when i do this from a flight plan i prepare in fsnav it always says ."export failed". i use the export module for pmdg and installed it correctly.. ????? help2 is there an export module for the 747 from pmdg for importing fsnavigator plans into the fms into 747 "queen"3 when planning a flight from toronto ( cyyz). i call us the dep in the fms and using rnwy 24r ( as an example) , it says no sids. Nothing in the database. I have downloaded the mose recent cycle. thoughts??is canadian nav data available. What am i missing on this onethank you Peter

    Hi Steve,I think I have it pretty much down path but I would like to know if this is how you do this procedure. Starting from the FAF, I have the airplane approaching the runway at VREF+5 knots. Seems like I've heard some say VREF+10, but I think it's plus 5 knots. Okay, my question is do I maintain VREF+5 until I start the flare or do I slow down to VREF or VREF+0 as I come over the threshold and then start my flare? When do you usually start your flare, at 30 feet or 40 feet? Okay, my understanding is that I retard the throttles back to idle at 50 feet but this seems to be pretty high when retarding the throttles. Or did I read that wrong? LOL. Here's what's confusing t…

I just bought FSBuild given it's enormous popularity and the fact that I'm getting tired of spending more time to plan my flights than to fly the routes.My question is pretty straightforward: considering I set up an accurate flight plan with accurate weight loads and winds aloft/weather data, is the fuel planning utility of FSBuild going to give me a close to real-world fuel figure?So far I have been using Felice Valente's excellent fuel planner, which basically is a fast way of going through the 747 PMDG manual fuel-planning section.     I have a problem and can't find an answer in the included manuals for the 744. I can't get the ILS information to show up on the ND screen. I tune in the correct frequency on the NAV/RAD page in the FMC under ILS but I get nothing on the ND screen when I choose the APP page (or VOR page for that matter). Is there more that needs to be entered somewhere besides on the NAV/RAD page??? The DEP/ARR page works just fine on the FMC and I can see the approch on the ND screen with the MAP option chosen but I nothing for the ILS...Please someone tell me what I'm doing wrong... :-hmmm

    Hey Peeps,I have been flying my 737 for about 4 weeks now and I am totally loving it. I have just a couple of questions regarding the FMC though...Whenever I preform a flight, I enter all of the details for the FMC and then execute them all, which works perfectly, except the T/D setting. I noticed that whenever I am approaching my destination and I am getting near to T/D that the distance between T/D and the airport is too close and I have to dive bomb to get anywhere near. Is there any way I can change this setting to make the distance between T/D and the airport more?     Hey guys.I just finished the flight DLH454 EDDF-KSFO and landed safely on 28R. But I came across a couple of questions during my flight and maybe one of you can help me out with them.1. How do I calculate fuel correctly? I use the Flight Sim Commander for flightplanning, Active Sky for the weather and Felice Valentes Fuelplanner.     Hi fellow captains,I wonder if it is possible to perform a derated takeoff (T01 or TO2) under heavy rain conditions, or is it mandatory to have full thrust available with continuous ignition under such bad weather ?Another question concerning derated T/O : is it possible to combine TO1 or TO2 mode with an assumed OAT, or do one has to choose between the regular T0 modes and the assumed temperatures given by the runway tables ?Thanks for your replies and have a good flight with PMDG :-sun1

    Is there anyone available to do a repaint of the 737's? I have an FS2000 737 I would like replaced. It's Vanguard Airlines 727-200. Though Vanguard never used any of the 737NG's I'd be happy to have one painted.     hi GuysI recently bought fsbuild to help transfer the routeplan directly into the FMC.Once I have planned a route I export it both to pmdg and fs2004,thinking that the fs9 ATC will be happy with the route headings etc-But unfortuantely this is not tha case.During the flight the fs ATC starts vectering me away from the fsbuild route.an example is The fsbuild heading will be 230 degrees and the ATC will start trying to vecter me to something like 163 degrees.And it keeps repeating the message for ever-and on few occasions the ATC terminates services if I don't change the heading.The questions are?1 How can I get the fs ATC to follow the fsbuild headings etc.2 If not than wh…

    Is ACARS modelled in the B737NG-7/8/900 Series? When I open the FMC and choose ACARS I am presented with a series of pages, which I don't understand.
