Can anyone inform me where I gan get the gauges patch for the 737 600/700 post 800/900 install. The site on the PMDG suport page is not vailable. As soon as I click for Overhead the bottom half of the screen goes black. I have deleted all the FSUIPC files and then installed the latest version (obtained today)without making a difference. If I reinstall the 600/700 disk I have Overhead but then have the same problem with my 800/900 aircraft. On and Off I have been trying to resolve this for at least 4 weeks.Peter

HelloPerhaps everybody listened the FSNet add-on for Flight Simulator (http://www.gates.to). The PMDG has plained to make compatible his airplanes with this software? I think that it could be very convenient for PMDG to release a compatibility kit for this software.... :)RegardsFrancesco

Hi I have the 747-400.Can someone please help me understand this nightmare.:-zhelpThe question that I have is:When vnav is engaged do I still have to adjust the speed on the MCP or should vnav be doing this automatically as per FMC speeds for various waypoints etc?Because at the moment it doesn't.I am still having to manually increase the speed and the alt to maintain climb and reach target speed/alt.I am sure vnav should be doing all this for me and the climb should be automatic as per the FMC,as should the increases in the speed.I look forward to your help.Tass :-zhelp

Hello fellow simmers,Just got the ITVV Platinum DVD faeturing a Virgin Atlantic flight from London Heathrow to San Fransisco....the only thing I can say is just WOW! This DVD is simply stunning! If you haven't watched it yet, go get immediatelly, it is worth every single cent you pay. This is my first ITVV DVD I ever watched, and I must say it has very clear shots, with the cameras being mounted in the cockpit. This gives you very steady shots of all instruments. The only thing I didn't like about the whole DVD is, that when first officer Allan Rattigan explains how the preflight work is done (V-speed calculation etc.) he isn't very understanding. I watched the DVD with a f…

Hello,I notice that with the installation of the B747-400F, the flapindications near the speed tape in the PFD has changed (also in pax version)In the past we had the "actual" and "next" flap indicators, which were common on the B747's and could be seen in CBT's and /or the ITVV Virgin movie. For exemple when flaps 10 were selected for t/o, we had the flap 10 and flap 5 in the speedtape, as the indicators are minimum flap speed indications. After updating it looks we only have now the "actual" flap indicator. Is this a update of the software in the newer version of the B744 ? or do I miss something.

Recently I've been considering flying another plane in addition to, or to replace my beloved PSS Dash-8 (I would love to see what PMDG would do with the Dash line). I own the 1900C (thanks) and a couple other planes (like the ATR).If it's not obvious, I haven't been a big jet fan, especially the larger planes. However, I also find I don't like the GA VFR stuff either. I like the idea of flying a fairly comprehensive plane with a moderate number of passengers and flying to airports that are somewhat likely to see my plane but also see the big boys. I like flying SID/STAR's and having to plan ahead for it all. That said, I bought the ATR and it was overload. First, few are f…

Fellow captains -First the Type Courses, then PMDG Ops and now here's a third new training resource for your PMDG 747:The Advanced Operations TutorialLufthansa Flight 454: Frankfurt - San FranciscoBased on real airline procedure manuals, this tutorial for the PMDG 747 takes you from Europe to the United States. It covers every aspect of transcontinental airline flying, from preflight planning to engine shutdown. This is the most comprehensive training guide released yet. While primarily aimed at those who are unfamiliar with the PMDG 747, advanced users also may find new concepts. It is the perfect basis for the new Type Course lessons.Actually I planned to finish this pr…

Another oddity . . . the chronometer is correct at the start of the flight, but "loses time" relative to the system clock (and the online clock) as the flight progresses . . . this obviously affects the FMC also . . . I know my PC is a bit underpowered, but is that going to be the cause . . . why is the clock "unlocked" from the system clock or is that an MSFS thing?

Hi guys.Been on holiday for a while so foregive me if this has been brought up before. I was just wondering if there is any news on how TRC5 is going and when it will be ready. I'm not trying to push people along its just that I was thinking of doing my frist long haul and I would like to be able to have a knowledge of landing manually to add a bit of a chalenge at the end of the flight. I will postpone my flight until I have read TRC5 though because I feel my landing technique leaves a lot to be desired. :-lol Keep up the very good work on the TRCs, I look forward to them like I do a new release.Andy S

HI all.I have posted numerous times on this matter but still no help has manifested for me or I missed it.for some odd reason I can't fly any of the pmdg planes that use the FMC.The planes reaches the first nav point well with lnav and turns towards the second and that's about it. After that the aupilot will stop following the FP.I use FSNav 4.7 to plan my routes And I have downloaded the 0605 airacs for it and all the products that I have. CLS and LevelD planes do work fine albeit of their differences with pmdg's.I have reinstalled all pmdg's planes and fsnav so they all have a clean install. I installed the 737s first and then 400 and 400F accordingly.I love these plane…

Hi Robert,How's it going? I was just wondering if you're working on the type rating course number 5. I wasn't sure if you're still working on them on not or if number 4 was the last one. I know you're fairly busy with flying and everything. We all thank you for the last four type rating courses you provided for us. I had them pretty much down path but I still like to go over them and make sure I do things just like you guys. We're looking forward to the TRC 5. Can you tell us what number 5 will be about? Don't over work yourself and take what ever time you need to put them together. Ken.

This is for the PMDG team. With it shaping up that FSX will be released around the end of September/beginning of October this year, will the MD-11 be released for it or FS9? I and I know others are waiting until MS's Vista/DX10 gets released hopefully in Jan 07 as well as DX10 hardware (none currently exists) before buying FSX. We would hate to have to wait some months before being able to use the MD11.Thank you for your reply in advance.

Hi,I am trying to install smoke (fire) effects on the PMDG 747 via the cfg file. It works but I just can't get the precise position of the engines. I want the effect right behind the engine not at a a few inches away.I was wondering if anyone knew these coordinates Entry type in the cfg:[sMOKESYSTEM]'smoke.3 = -1.0,-107.5, 69.5, fx_EE.fx //engine 4'Cheers

PMDG 737-700 Throttle Warning Horn. Unless in a cold dark cockpit, I am unable to advance the left hand throttle without a 'deh-deh-deh' warning horn going off. when I retard the throttle, it disappears. The right hand is fine. I've followed the startup sequence in Timothy Meztinger's 737NG tutorial, and I've repeated the exercise several times, but still the same problem. Any help gratefully received.Sean McCarney

Hi everyone, I post this because I'm impressed with the highly accurate representation rate that PMDG 737-800 has in respect to real 737-800 cockpit. As others did before I began flying FS2000 and three years after I decided to apply for the ATPL license, now at the final training stage of my career I have been doing 16 hours of a Multicrew Cooperation Course (MCC) in a 737-800 class D simulator, the same that airline pilots use for type ratings, company trainings, etc. The simulator just looks like the same as the real aircraft, all the systems and aircraft flight performances, sensitiviness and responses are the same as in the real plane (this is why type ratings are aco…

Hi all!I've recently "upgraded" my FS9.1 Modules folder with the FSUIPC version 3.6.5. Now, when I register the module and try to load any of the PMDG QoS (pax or cargo model) I get an error message saying: "You need FSUIPC version 3.4.8 or later. FS will now close" and FS closes, although the unregistered version suits quite well and doesn't cause any problem when the PMDG aircraft is loaded. It's strange, as having a "good/bad habit" of upgrading to the newest versions of FSUIPC and other FS add-ons I have never come accross such a problem with previous versions of the module. Furthermore, while observing this error message on my screen, I've noticed (in WinXP: Task Man…

HelloWhen flying the 737 NG (600/700 Boxed version) I fly the first flight with no problem in the FMC POS INIT page works fine. Upon arrival I shutdown the aircraft and when I turn it on again and go to the FMC it still had the initial airport references (LAST POS Coordinates) in the POS INIT page.Even if I reload the a/c it still maintains the first airport position which then creates several errors if I continue with the next flight. My question is this: The 747 doesn't do this. Upon system shutdown it records the last IRS position for reference. How can I reset this information in the 737 FMC? Must I exit FS9? Like I said I don't need to do that in the 747 or even the P…

Hi I've done lots of flights on the PMDG 737NG but maybe half of them were unfinished because of the computer problems, if I restart the flight I will lose my settings in the plane. Can PMDG fix this problem!! I dont' have a high-end or a good computer to play. Why does this problem only happen to the 737NG but not to the 747??

Hello,Any way for the weather function to be activated (via update/purchase) for the PAX 747 ??I also kinda miss my map function, I know there is one but it doesn't provide all the details I wanted (would like to know more info about the ICAO or just can't indentify it always by memory, also would like to know when I cross a different state etc.). If not availible, what do other users use? Thanks so much,Martijn

I understand that in a VNAV climb, when setting up in the FMC an altitude constraint with a B, the plane should remain below or not go higher than this altitude, and provided than the altitude set in the MCP and that the cruize altitude are higher than the altitude constraint, the VNAV mode should change from VNAV SPEED to VNAV PATH when reaching this altitude constraint. This is actually what is happening when setting up a simple constraint without a B. But as soon as the B is added, the altitude constraint will just be ignored; when reaching it, the plane will continue his climb above, for about 300 feet; then the error message "UNABLE NEXT ALT" will be displayed on the…

Latest updates available now at http://navdata.at includes minor changes at KBWI & KPHL; however, I have tweaked all 23 files ensuring that all procedures published by NACO are included (cycle 0607 is effective 6 July but available now online at FAA NACO), all disco errors are resolved, and implemented new procedure turn algorithm that is speed independent (210kts max speed tested). The new RNAV RNP approach at KMDW is included. These will also be available soon in the AVSIM libray in one file when they process my last night upload. The following locations are now included in my collection: KABQ KAUS KBNA KBWI KDAL KDEN KGEG KHOU KLAS KLAX KMCO KMDW KOAK KPHL KPHX KSA…
