    I have read all docs on updating airacs along with procedures in order to avoid the unknown rwy error. I cannot seem to find a dl for the sids/stars data. I fly out of kmia quite a bit and this happens to be one of the problem airports. The docs I read refered to page that no longer exists as well as a place on the pmdg site to dl this data, but i just can't seem to locate that link. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have read this forum for a couple of hours looking for info on this, sorry if this is a repeat post.Chuck

    For some reason my Auto Throttle on my 737-800 will not engage. I have tried various speeds and only get a Auto Throttle dissengage message. Maybe someone can help me with this issue. Thank you all. Ron

    Hi, I've updated fsNAV with FSNAV_0606 and FSNAVss8 Then PMDG with PIC_0606 and PIC-PMDG_0606. Is this right ? because now, when I load an exported plan into the 747, everything appears OK, the route turns magenta when I activate it, but there's no speed/alt. on the legs page, so obviously, Vnav. wont work. Any advice would be appreciated.Russell.PS. I still have the L plates on, so don't get too technical please.

    Looking at the posters for RIAT 2006, the front shot of the C17 made me wonder why nearly all the common military transport planes (C130/Transall/C17/C141/C5 etc) have the wings mounted on top of the fuselage, whereas all (except the 146 that I can think of) jet passenger aircraft have the wings mounted at the bottom. Think what a better view you would have if passsenger plane's wings were mounted at the top.Any thoughts / theories ?

    Hi Could somebody please tell me how to get the diverted aiport info in the FMC for landing purposes.I planned a flight from EGCC to EGLL.on route I wanted to land at EGGW.I reprogrammed the FMC to fly direct to EGGW.The flight route reappeared on the ND,but sadly the dep/arr screen did not change,it still lists EGLL as the arrival airport.So,if anybody can help me modify the dep/arr screen to show EGGW as the new arr airport I will be very grateful.Tass:-)

    I guess I will have to put the 747 away in the hangar. The noise level is just too high. In climb out and cruise I can barely hear ATC instructions, half the time I hear them wrong. Only on descent and approach can I hear clearly. It doesn't help to use a head set.

    Bought this aircraft couple days ago. Its going great and I have been able to teach myself the FMC. My problem is the last 4 landings resulted in the wheels collapsing . The plane sinks into the runway with smoke and flames. I am sure I extended the wheels. Is there a locking mechanism that I have overlooked? Been in flight sim several yrs and never had this problem.Thanks in advance for any help you can give.Frank

    ive been looking and im basically shiznit at repainting textures (the PMDG guide didn't help). so currently im looking for someone to make me a texture for the PMDG Beechcraft 1900c. since im doing some stuff with adventures and hiking,i was thinking "Adventure Air". im looking for something tropical,simple or stylish take your pick. thanks guys

    I am just taking a short flight from Melbourne to Sydney. Gross weight at take off was 223 tons with 43,000 kgs of fuel on board. Even with CLB-2 selected and showing on the display it still climbs at over 3,000fpm up to FL300. Is this typical? The aircraft is on Autopilot and has VNAV, LNAV and THR REF engaged and showing all that on the PFD. Below FL200, once it had acquired the target speed set by VNAV, it ws occasionally reaching 5000fpm. I certainly can't remember ever being on a 744 that reached altitude that quickly but then the shortest leg I have ever flown on real 744 has been 8 hours. Just curious - am I missing something here or do they all climb like a rocket…

    I've scanned the PMDG 747 documentation but can't find how to determine how much runway I'll need to use during my takeoff roll. Take this scenario: I'm parked at Sydney (YSSY) loaded up and ready to get clearance for Bangkok (VTBD). ZFW514000lbs Fuel275000lbs Wind 270/10 Temp 21QNH 1011I'm asked by clearance delivery "Can you accept Rwy25 (2530m) for departure?" I'm not sure and play it safe I advise that I require Rwy34L (3962m). I know my v speeds for each of the flap settings, but can't find anywhere in the manual that shows how much runway I'll need to use to reach that v speed.     hi alli was flying today and on the fmc of the above mentioned ac, 738, there is an option on the FMC to select LRC, i selected LRC and after a while i selected 'Econ' however the mach speed on LRC was slower than that of Econ, i thought it would be viseversa to save fuel. Is this correct?I was getting a slower speed in LRC mode than Econ mode.

    Okay. I've tried everything and I still can't get it right. After entering ALL the flight data into the FMC, including the FS9 route or FSNAV or both shortly after taking off from my departure airport I open the FMC and click on the Prog key the milage to the destination decrease. But after just a few minutes they begin increasing. So if it's 5040 miles from EDDF to KSFO instead of readings of 5039,5038,5037 I star getting 5038,5039,5040,5041, 5042 and they just keep on climbing. This not only happens in internation flight but on domestics as well. Does anyone know what';s going on? If so...HELP!!Bob AdamsKSNA

    I am currently on a 5500nm flight from Tel-Aviv to KJFK. I got an annunciation about 2 hours into the flight about the center tanks being ready for PRESS so I went up to the overhead and duly pressed.   20. I just landed the Queen at JFK intact despite misplanning the fuel. I flew in real time (no acceleration) as I always do. I have a few observations of the flight as follows:1.     hello,I have changed my joystick to a new logitech from MS sidewinder thinking it was spiking signals that uncaptured the GS and gave the cws yellow alert with default to LOC approach but its still happening. Always able to recap the GS with another tap or two on the app but its awkward. Once within ten miles the GS holds well....kind of like the gs signal is stronger closer in but does the FS have such a dwindling signal or is it all or none? My approach speeds and flap settings are are per the check list and I'm not touching the control wheel.   24. Last night, about 6 hours into an 11 hour flight to KJFK, I got a slow motion CTD such as I've never seen before. In fact, I've never had a CTD, I think, on this newer PC running FS9 and never had a CTD with the PMDG Queen.I had the PMDG 744 2D cockpit up on the 24" LCD primary and on the secondary 19" LCD I had 4 windows open including a SPOT 02 view showing the UQueen in all her glory on about 8x10" size.     Hi,I think I already posted asking this, but my thread disappeared. Where did it go? Anyway, I'll ask again since I can't find anything else on it...In the 2nd Type Rating Tutorial, it says the thrust page on the FMC should read "ACT ECON CLB" but it reads "ACT 235KT CLB" instead. Why is this? I have both the pax and -F installed, but I am just loading the lesson files and not changing anything.Thanks-
