I checked the search function, but found no suitable answer.Question : in the PMDG manual it states MAX Fuel capacity is 386.000 lbs.I never reached the need to fill her up but on a recent flight from DXB to SYD I need for taxi full tanks - on the fuel page I had a surprise : Max fuel only 382.800 lbs !Who is wrong - the manual or my program ?thanksKarl, Berlin

Hello Ppl!I'm shadowing the DLH405 flt KJFK-EDDF real time - both flt plans:MERIT PUT BOS EBONY N109B DOTTY NATW BURAK UL9 KONAN UL607 SPI UT180 DITEL T180 POBIX T180 OSMAX OSMAX2EHere are the pics from my flt keeper map of my flt & air-nav track of the real time flt. Trying to keep as close as possible. ... I'm not sure if I'll be able to be up all nite, but I'm excited. Hello,I understand that the CI can be defined as the ratio between the hourly operating cost of the aircraft and the fuel cost per Lb; that the lower it is, the more cost effective is the flight and that a longer range can be flown. However, what I do not quite understand is, in view of this ratio, a higher fuel cost should on the contrary mean a lower CI and therefore a lower CI should itself mean a lesser cost efficiency ??? When i load up any flight plan into ams I'm missing all the runway and star's information I'm getting a error message EHAM err; KAG UNKNOWN when i try to load it into the fmc, some one out there with any help plz.

I'm not sure if I've asked this before, so apologies, but when entering NATS tracks in teh FMC on teh 747-400 I notice a couple of oddities . . . firstly I was under the impression from the 737NG that the format for a lat/long waypoint was NXXXXXWXXXXXX e.g. N53000W050000 for a NAT waypoint of 53N050W , however the FMC doesn't accept this, but it will accept N53W050 . . . OK the next NAT waypoint is N54W040, which goes in but the FMC displays N54W039 the next is N54W030 which goes in OK, but the next one N54W020 comes up again as N54W019 ???????!!!?Now getting out my slide rule it appears that the waypoints are being placed correctly (because the distance between them is …

After having re-installed PMDG 737 800/900 I get this message:Aircraft initialization failureB737-800 Scandinavianwhich entails that I cannot open FS9 at all.I tried to install the Scandinavian livery - unsucsesfully - so it is most like from here the problem comes from.I have uninstalled and reinstalled - even the whole FS9 but nothing helps.Hans Fog

HelloI tried to fly to Cape Town the first time. I then tried to receive the ATIS with the PMDG 747-400. Freq: 115.7 or 117.8. The VHF radio however only lets me choose freqs between 136 and 118.0 MHz. How the #### am I supposed to hear an ATIS I can not hear?Help - thanks a lotRegardsTom

I have been practicing flying the RWY 27 RNAV approach into Tampa KTPA. Is it possible in the real 737 to hit the approach button and have the plane automatically track the glide slope? Can these 2 be coupled? Or do you have to roll the V/S dial to go down the G/S? If it IS possible, what am I doing wrong? When I press APPR., I always get the predictable FMC error message "Navaid invalid." Anyone?Chris Catalano

I started with the 737NG, and recently bought the 747-400 . . . I'm now keen to buy the 747-400F and the 737-800/900 to expand my "fleet", and eventually finishing with the MD-11.I know that you have to install the 747-400 after the 737-NG, which fortunately was the order in which I purchased them, but what is the best order to install all four (five?) . . . will I have to uninstall either the 747, or both the existing models in order to get the optimum install? And will I need to redo all the SID/STARS after installation?

Hi,Everytime I load the PMDG 744, the virtual cockpit does not show up. I usually have to go into PMDG options, UNCHECK the virtual cockpit, hit OK, and then go back in and re-check it- and then it will show up.When I run FS, I have one of the PMDG type rating files as my default. So, when I run FS it loads the 744 right away in the menu. Then I hit Start or Fly Now (whatever it's called) and it loads the selected flight and puts me on the runway. It starts in 2D, and if I switch to VC, there is nothing there. I use Active Camera so I've rotated all around and I'm sure it's not just zoomed in too far.Is there some other way I should be loading to make it work correct…

I love my 737-NG and I love flying online. However, only(!) the combination of both leads to crashes. When does it happen?1. closing in to an airport with traffic2. Traffic closing in to my position3. With 737NG only (2D Cockpit)4. Even with low texture/graphics qualityIt seems to happens, when the textures of my IVAO-traffic are loaded. But as I mentioned, only if I fly with the PMDG and not with other planes. It is also not always happening, which makes it quite disturbing. How do I permanently remove or permanently make the yoke short in VC?Isually fly the 747 in VC and every time...I have to move the mouse and make the Yoke short. I never find any reason to keep it up and watch it jerk back and forth. (Not sure..if there are others out there who like to watch the visual yoke jert back and forth in VC).Is there a way.. I can permanetly remove it or make it short? It irritates the #### out me.Manny

Hi all, I have been one of the many silent members of this forum, one of the guys who uses the search function on the forum and havn't really posted too much here. I just wanted to thank the members of this forum for all your valuable advice with my PMDG 747. It was daunting at first as I hardly knew what an FMC was. This thanks is inspired after I successfully flew from Heathrow-Frankfurt Main-Vienna-Rome-Zagreb-Heathrow programming the FMC each time before take off. I left it about 30mins between each flight and didn't restart my PC in between. Started with a nearly full tank of fuel and just used it for the whole day. I downloaded and installed the latest SIDS/STARS and thought I had a copy of my own NZAA SIDS/STARS filed safely away. Well I didn't and I have just lost 30 of my own SIDs STARs and Approaches for this airport. Bugger. I need to be a bit more tidy in the house keeping department........files everywhere.CheersSteve

Hi to all captains,regarding the ICAO takeoff profiles, there is somethingi don't understand. What is the purpose of choosing LNAV at or above 400' when the Autopilot -(CMD A) isn't engaged utill the 1000'?For only when CMD A is pressed, FMC can take over and fly the aircraft whith LNAV.So do i have to roll manually the aircraft until A/P is egaged?

I'm banking at 30 degrees in case and it just won't activate LNAV I keep getting this annoying error, why does it keep coming up everytime I click LNAV. My route is fine the pink line on the flight plan is there, so why doesn't it intercept?
