    In anticipation of the PMDG MD-11 being released this year, I ordered the "Martinair Boeing MD-11" which is a 2-part DVD on a single disc from ITVV Productions.The DVD is fantastic - those who are familiar with ITVV will realize the quality of the DVDs, using digital in-flight multiperspective cameras, aircraft audio, etc.The MD-11 dvd was very technical - the captain explains the SID very clearly, and follows it with the FCP, FMA, FMC, FMS and PFD and explains the approach. All are detailed very clearly.All the checklists are superimposed so you can actually see them while the 1st officer reads them back.You even get to hear the sexy aural alerts from the automatic alert…

    Hi AgainSorry to keep on asking for help,again and again.Can somebody please tell me how to plan a re-route to another airport when I am en-route for either low fuel situation or anything else that may happen.eg. I discovered recently that if you fly in SPD mode and enter a speed that is horribly slow, when the Queen slows down enough to induce stick shaker and head toward the red stall bricks, suddenly FLCH will kick in and give you a massive boost up and over to get you righted again. Is this an alpha floor equivalent in the 744? Is it dependent on speed or AoA? Jonathan

    I've recently purchased the 737NG and 800/900 packages but am experiencing CTD when I leave FS9 to run the Fuel Planner or Radar Contact. I get a message that the nvidia driver has failed.I don't get this problem with any other add on aircraft. Right or wrong, here's the sequence I use when the crash occurs.I start FS9, load the 737 and place it at the departure airport. I start FS Navigator and either load an existing or create a new flight plan. Everything fine to this point. The crash occurs when I leave FS9 to run the Fuel Planner or start Radar Contact.I've tried it with and without FS Navigator, doesn't matter. Any thoughts?ThanksRandy Blaha

    Good evening all,I am hoping that somebody with more experience of the PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies may be able to assist me. I have just come to update the Airac to that of the 0606 cycle as downloaded from Navdata. This will be the first update that I apply to my 747 as I have only had it for a short while.I cannot get it to update, due to the Aerosoft MCP, whatever that might be or am I using the wrong file?     Hello,I made a flight between Nice (LFMN) and Kennedy (KJFK) last sunday (a fabulous IVAO event anyway) with the fabulous plane, this 747-400 you made. I use it with the Cargo add-on too, but I was on a passenger flight.I just wonder why when I do some flight I get "Fuel ENG/TNK" announce...     Hi I am still a newbie to the 744 so please forgive this question! Anyways, when I take off and the 744 is flying away on autopilot (VNAV and LNAV engaged) I reach my initial altitude of say 10,000 ft. Then ATC will say something like "climb to 17,000, turn right heading 140 and resume own navigation".Now the A/P might be flying happily away at say heading 70 when this happens, so I am wondering why ATC would give me a heading that puts me off my route. And what do they mean resume own navigation? Do I turn right to heading 140 and then when I get there turn straight back to heading 70 again and fly away? That seems kind of strange.Finally, how do I actually instruct the …

    Hi, I've just finished reading the documentation that came with my boxed version of "Queen of the skies". I sat down to try the tutorial included in the printed manual and have struck the following problem. All is well until i reach the departures page of the CDU, i select LSGG (geneva) Runway 05 as instructed and in the left hand column under SIDS there is the word NONE. The same goes for arrivals at EDDT there are no STARS listed on the arrival page. I have spent hours scanning the manuals and cannot find a solution. I am pulling my hair out

    Gentlemen,I need help from anybody about my experience last night. Here it goes;I took off from EGLL to EHAM of my PMDG737-900 and switch off the engines, etc while at one of EHAM gates as usual, then took permission again to TAKE-OFF bound for ENGM with all the new set-up in the FMC for EHAM/ENGM flight plan, etc..     It seems that the strobe light location in the wings is off inboard. As far as I know, the strobe lights should be in the wing tips, next to the position (navigation) lights. Unfortunately, the location is built into the model file and thus isn't easy to change. Do you have a correction for this issue or is it planned for a future patch?.Thank you and regards,Christian Conesa.

    Hi everyone!I'm having this issue with the Auto-Pilot automatically dis-engaging at about 300-200ft in to the finals on the B744 during an auto-land. It doesn't happen every time, usually once every 4-5 flights. The disconnect sends my aircraft absolutely hay-wire! I run ASV6 in the background and have all thermals de-activated since this did cause a persistant issue at one time. The issue doesn't come up with the LDS aircraft...... Not really too frustrated- but just out of the limited time that I can allot for this hobby it kinda leaves me dis-satisfied when things go awry in the last stages. - Any thoughts or recommentdations out there?Thanks in advance.- Jay

  17. I have been using the 737-600/700 package, and last week I purchased the 737-800/900 after the installation I noticed a significant deterioration in the quality of the 2D panel. For example the text in thered and yellow warning lights to the left of the MCP is just a blur. I am also getting problems with some of the numbers displayed in the EFIS/MAP. All of this did not happen before the installation of the 737-800/900. Now it happens not only with the new 800/900's but also with the 600/700,s.Is this a texture issue?     I've got a couple serious 737-700 problems that I'm NOT experiencing with the 747. Appreciate any help.1. glideslope uncaptures to LOC Only early on the ILS. I'm able to recapture hitting the app button a few times and will always get it to hold late in the approach but its unrealistic and a hassle. Yes the Control Wheel release light goes on when it releases and no I'm not touching the yoke. I have a MS sidewinder (FF is unplugged) and have calibrated with fsuipc, filtered and lessened the central sensitivity. Any thoughts?2. the v nav does a terrible job of tracking its vertical path.     I've added Tampa to my list of procedure updates. This edit includes two missing RNAV approaches, procedure turns for the NDB & VOR approaches and the usual list of tweaks. The file is on either the AVSIM-FS2004 Flight Plans or the NAVData libraries. Thanks to Terry for the DAFIF translations on which all my updates are based.

    IN LAST THREAD POSTED I GOT IT ARSE WAYS!I UNINSTALLED THE ORGINAL RELEASE VERSION, COMPLETE WITH UPDATE USINGADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.WHILE TRYING TO REINSTALL,FIRSTLY THE BASE PACKAGE,I GET A MESSAGE TELLING ME THAT IT HAS DETECTED A NEWER VERSION AND I MUST UNISTALL THAT FIRST.     Hi People,1) I am realy realy dissapointed about PMDG withg regard to the SIA 744 model.All the airlines came out and this one is still missing for download. I dont want to use any other download from the AVSIm file library.So when is it finall ycoming out.2) I was flying EDDF to KMIA using the Route Finder way points. The route was giving me NATS like 54N030W and 54N020W. I couldnt put them in the FMC. They dont exist. As i was flying this route (without the NATS) its looks like that they dont even exist on the plan. Please adviseMarek from LOWW
