I am having similar problems as SVEDMAN in his message string of April 12, 2006 - "FMC CoRoute "PROGRAM ERROR"When I try to enter a COROUTE in the FMC I get "PROGRAM ERROR". I have the 0606 AIRACs and SID/STARs for PMDG products and for FSNavigator installed.I use FSNavigator 4.7 with the PMDG export module installed.1) Using FSNavigator, I have created a route from Frankfurt to Vancouver, starting with a runway and ending with a runway. I use the auto-calculate function. I change nothing manually. I name it

you are getting it wrong.TOGA (Take-off/Go-around) is also an AP mode for pitch and bank. If you press the TOGA button, the TOGA mode for pitch AND bank gets automatically activated. If you select heading hold in the PMDG menu this means that the AP will maintain current heading while being in TOGA mode. So if you are departing from a runway with a runway heading of 251 then the AP will hold this heading until you either select LNAV or HDG SEL by pressing the HDG SEL knob on the MCP.The alternative for TOGA bank mode is to hold ground track(selectable in the PDMG menu). This is useful during X-wind takeoffs if you do not want to be blown away from the runway centerline rig…

Hi everybodyHere is the situation.I'm on final on an RNAV approach, minimums set to 510 baro and 500 dialed into the alt select window, VNAV and LNAV are on. I don't see the runway lights at minimums so i hit the TOGA screw. This turns off the autopilot so i put flaps up and gear and start climbing to the missed approach altitude of 3500 feet. I also dial this into the alt select window. I go to engage VNAV and it says "unable crz alt" What am I doing wrong. Would somebody be able to guide me to a tutorial or show me what to do from being on final to going around and coming back for another approach. Many thanks!

My earlier post, in which I asked if others could see what I see in my recently installed clickable VC, has gone unanswered. All I want to know is what I am seeing normal or a corrupted file? When in the VC looking ahead I see what seems to be a reflection in the top of the windscreen of the grab handle. If I look through the left or right windows I see a fainter image of the window frame on the other side of the cockpit. It is a mirror image, which made me think it could be meant to be a reflection in the "glass". Does anyone else see this? If not, then I'll have to do an uninstall/re-install from my CDs.I've searched this forum and the manual but can not find any referen…

Hi everyone, I was flying the 744 today and a yellow "brake temp" message was displayed on the EICAS during flight. Just wondering why this would be seeing as the gear was up and locked and, as far as I understand it, the brake temp message refers to the temperature of the tires and occurs when you brake the plane while travelling too fast on the ground? Thanks for any help on this one. Regards, Paul.

This should be a simple query. Here goes. I have mapped up/down forward view buttons on my joystick...easy, works fine. But in FS9 normally when changing up/down forward views to get back to the start position or normal cockpit view (in 2D mode) I hit the FS9 keyboard command for this, "spacebar". This does not happen with the PMDG 737NG panel. It works with most other panels I use, whether they are payware or not. Is there a way around this by possibly remapping the key command within the PMDG product or is it just a PMDG thing and I have to live with it? In the end it's no big deal to me but I like the feature so that I can quickly get back to normal forward view if…

Hello,Sorry if this has been mentioned before,Flying in Russia today I have seen that some enroute ndb are of four digits for example 1290.0. This can not be tuned at the 747 by going to the NAVRAD page. I am getting an invalid freq message. But by drag and drop them in the FSNAV ADF window the adf is accepted in the FMC and tuned normaly. Is there any workaround that can be used to tune these NDB normally?Chris

"Cross Noise Monitoring Points not below 1196ft QNH (1000ft QFE) thereafter maintain minimum climb gradient of 4% to 3000ft to comply with Noise Abatement Procedures"It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could explain what this actually means, and if/what i have to enter into the FLAPS: 20/XXXXft in the FMC.Thanks in advance,Nat

Hi,Sorry to bring this back up again but......I am unable to get rejected takeoff autobraking - the engines will go to idle but no autobraking at all.I have had some feedback to this previously but I am still unable to resolve this problem. Also, as I discovered, however I am unable to achieve ANY autobraking - even on landings! Can anyone help me with this problem. I would like very much to get this working.I have reinstalled both 747-400 and 747-400F numerous times to no avail. I removed and reinstalled a clean version of FS2004 then reinstalled both 747s - no success. I do not have any joysticks attached to my pc. I am using Windows XP with all the service packs and upda…

I am trying to map a mouse button to the auto throttle disconnect on the 737-800. I program the 737 to use tab+W to disconnect. This works on the 747-400 but not on the 737-800. I have managed to map the MCP disconnect okay.

When I have an ILS approach and the last leg in the flight plan is the runway, the plane will descend as described in the manual. However, if legs are included for a missed appoach or go around when I get down to about 1000ft AGL, the plane changes pitch and I no longer am following the glide slope. Which means I come in to high and so really have to go around. I could avoid that by disengaging the AP and landing manually. However, according to the manual I should be able to descend to about 30ft before I disengage the AP and turn off the AT. Others have indicated that even if I have the legs for a missed approach the plane should still descend to EOD. Is this happening b…

Hi all,I don't know if any of you have noticed but the stab trim indications are a little different between the 2D cockpit and the virtual cockpit. I've tried to search for this but I did not find any information. For example, I go to the virtual cockpit and set my trim to exactly 6.0. But when I go to the 2D cockpit, the indications are 5.6 or 5.7. In case you're wondering how do I know what the indications are from this 2D cockpit view when the indications are too small to read, if you put your mouse curser over the trim window indicator, a small window will pop up and tell you what the indication is. But it may not be correct since it's different from the PMDG virtual …

Superb product. Need some help on FSBuild 2.2 exporting to PMDG FMS. I downloaded latest AIRAC with SID/STARs etc. I exported flightplan from FSBuild to squawkbox 3 and 737NG. I started up and could not find the flightplan/NAVDATA that I built. I noticed FSBuild 2.2 has not yet updated with the new AIRAC (6.06 I think)and I exported to 737NG but ended flying a 737-900. Operator error? No biggie...I built it from scratch on the FMS (awesome) but it was a tad labor intensive....What's the process exporting from FSBuild to the FMS?Thanks!KemoF15

When attempting to program the STL to CLT flight in the Advanced Tutorial, I receive a "error in line 221" message when I enter KSTL as the departure airport. After clearing the error, no SID/STARS seem to be available at KSTL or other airports.I've installed the most recent AIRAC cycle PIC_PMDG_0606 letting the install program choose the default location, which is my FS9 directory. I've also installed the PMDG_AIO file to my FS/PMDG/SIDSTARS folder. After a few years away from this package, this was my attempt at a reinstall on a new PC. I followed the directions given in PMDG_737_INSTALL_README.TXT. There seem to be some changes in the intall for the AIRAC. The dire…

Hi all,Up to now I've flown my fleet of 737NGs (I have the complete range) using the 2D panel. Then I read that some people get better frame rates with VCs and having upgraded my machine since first installing the 737NG I decided to run the CD through and update my flight models to get the clickable VC.I must say I'm impressed and it does seem smoother! Just one question. When I look through the windows I see a "ghost" mirror of the cockpit which I assume is meant to be a reflection in the window. Am I right? If so is there any way of turning it off? I find that in certain light conditions that it spoils the view outside. I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks. :) Iain

Hello,I did a search but could not find anything specific on this so I thought I'd post.I have flown my last two flights on the same route (KFJK - KSLC - New York to Salt Lake City) and with ASV5 (Active Sky 5) installed. I have noticed that when I accelerate simulation to 8X which is supported as per PMDG documentation (on the 744), occasionally, when the winds shift or become stronger, autopilot loses control, thrust gets reduced and the plane loses speed and a near-stall situation arises.I know the PMDG 744 autopilot apparently cuts off (as per documentation) if it detects things like an engine spoolin/shutting down and the 744 had problems with resuming from switchin…
