HiI was just wondering besides the excellent documentation that comes with the products? Is there perhaps some compressed or quick start documentation or guide to get you up and running regarding making your first FMC flight using either the B737 or B747?Thank you,GianP.S Being a bit lazy I am but also short on time hence the question :) so if there is and someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.... Hi PMDG teamFirst I have to say your 737 aircraft is very good simulation. I only have this PMDG one so I can't talk about other products. But there is a well known problem with your products, that is often addressed in forums: they are very FPS hungry. Can you please find a way to solve this issuses for the forcoming products? Unhappily I have unistalled the 737 right afer buying the CD :(( very bad FPS even in 2D cockpit. I can use several other payware addons in 2D cokpit quite well. Not the PMDG 737 :(.Thanks

Hello everyone! I have a slight problem regarding the panels in the cockpit view. The data thats usually in the LCD screens is missing.. almost as if the cockpit had been cold and dark. Also, i'd like to not that if I start a create a flight w/ pmdg and not in cold and dark scenario, the data is there but after a few minutes of flying, it blanks out. Whats also weird is that the FMC will show up and so will all other analog guages (like autopilot hdg settings, etc.) One more question, I am looking for software that allows me to explore the virtual cabin and do walk arounds to inspect the airplane.. just for fun. Hi everyone,I am having a problem with the PMDG B747-400F Cargo's panel, it goes off suddenly while the aircraft is still on. I would like to ask anyone having the same problem, and could anyone give some advise to fix the problem? Appreciate for the kinds!

I have the CH USB Yoke which works great with the PMDG 744, using the registered FSUIPC to keymap to the CH Yoke's red buttons on the top left horn. The AP and TO/GA functions work flawlessly.On the PMDG NG, however, although the TO/GA function works fine, the AP usually disconnects right after connecting when I use the same CH Yoke. I don't get it since both PMDG a/c use the same keystrokes via FSUIPC for the two functions. I normally have to use the mouse to press the NG's CMD button for it to "stick."Can anybody advise me how to fix this small glitch?Thanks!Jonathan

For some reason, whenever I load the 737 (either directly from the Fly Now screen or after loading the default 172 first), my keyboard doesn't work anymore, apart from the Windows key, the Alt+Enter command (but not the Alt or Enter keys when used seperately), and the F9 key (to open FSNavigator). When FSNavigator is running, I have no problems typing airport codes and such into its search function, but as soon as I go back to looking at FS, the keyboard commands become useless again. I've reinstalled the 737, to no avail, and am quite puzzled by this problem, as none of my other planes are affected by it.Any suggestions on how to solve this?Thanks,David N.

Hello All,Can someone tell me if the boxed version of the 737-600/700 comes with a printed manual? On the PC Aviator website under the PMDG 737-600/700 product features, it says an "extensive printed manual." Is this actually a printed and bound version of the whole manual, or are they just saying that the manual comes as a .pdf file on the CD, ready for printing? Thanks!!Paul

Since I'm not very happy with software that needs to be "enabled" via the web, I consider paying a second time (!) for the PMDG products and buy me CD versions which save me from "being online" and allow me to install in purely stand-alone mode.I saw that Aerosoft distributes a 747-400 CD package. The question now is whether the -F version is covered as well (I don't think so). In case it isn't, I didn't find any information at Aerosoft's site that they intend to release the freighter.So, is there a way to get the whole 747 fleet (passenger and freighter versions) on CD (please no recommendations like "burn the download files" or such ;-) )?Andreas

I have just removed FS2crew Professional and the VC in the 600&700 is a mess. I followed the instructions given in the FS2 unistall pdf and copied the panel.cfg(s) back. The 800/900 are ok. Can anyone help with the 600/700 vc. The 2d cockpit is OK.

Just did a search of the PMDG forums, and I can find any repaints of the Alaska -700 with winglets...Its been mentioned but seems to be unanswered?While I was at it.... I couldnt find another reference to this problem so here goes :After starting up the 747 everything looks fine. However, after a while I suddenly lose the picture in all my lcd's. I noticed this first when I tried to undock the second Ecas panel : all the panels went black, except for the FMC.I also have the 737 installed but that works fine.Any ideas would be highly appreciated.cheersMartin

Hi,I just had a gear retract failure in the 747 and decided to turn back to the airport, KLAX, but the FMC absolutely refused my ILS input.I tried setting up an RTE2 with origin and destination KLAX, activated it, and activated the ILS on the DEP/ARR page. Execute, the route shows up as I expect, but the NAV RAD page says ILS on "Park".I type in the ILS frequency and press the line key next to ILS, but the FMC returns "Invalid input".I ended up having to land manually without any idea of where I was in the glideslope...How should one go about doing this, as I am obviously doing it incorrectly?Best regards,

Hi everyone.I was finishing up a flight from Hong Kong to Brussels last night (sorry I can't remember the Airport code).I was all set to land on RWY 25R and established myself on the localiser and started decending toward the airport. My vertical situation was fine, I was tracking the ILS perfectly. 3 autopilots active and all. But horizontally I was too far left of the runway. The PFD also indicated I was to far left. I ended up having to disconnect the AP and fly the approach manually.Has this ever happened to anyone before?Any help would be appreciated.Craig.

I have a question for the PMDG developers about the 737-700NG. In the PMDG POH it states that the MTOW (maximum takeoff weight) is 133,000lbs. However in looking at the aircraft.cfg file provided by PMDG the MGW (maximum gross weight) is specified at 153,500lbs. Boeing's web site says that the MTWO is 154,500lbs. I realise that there are normal and HGW (high gross weight) versions of the 737-700. So my question is, what did PMDG intend to model the normal, or HGW version of the 737-700 and what is the correct MTOW for the PMDG 737-700? Thanks.

Help ! I posted this last Saturday and didn't get an answer - can anyone advise please ?I had to re-install FS2004 and now my 737 FMC says that none of my saved flight plans or any airports are there (the dreaded 'Not in Database' message). Do I need to re-install all my PMDG stuff or is there a way round this problem please. Note that Windows Explorer still shows the plans and all my SID/STARS as being available. If I do have to reinstall is there a set way of doing it - I seem to remember a problem after loading the 800/900 aircraft. I have all these on CD so shouldn't be a problem.Many thanksDave

If I take off in the Queen with no LNAV or VNAV but am flying manually under TOGA with the FD switched on and then I flip the AP to on at 1000 AGL, what mode am I kicked into at that time ? Jonathan

Hey!I just installed the 737-800 and 900 for PMDG.Now i hear a constant repeating clicking in the whole "Cockpit". Just as switching 50 times a second one of those overhead panel switches.I thought that this was already discussed in the past...but actually i cant find that thread.Can anyone help me out?ThanksThomas
