Hi guys, there are some 737/747 problems happening to me, I need some help!!My english isn't good, so forgive me if there are some grammars faults..The 737: The flightplan vanished after I restart my FS, well, like this, I was flying when suddenly my house got some overpower, so I saved the flight I was flying and turn off my computer to prevent damages. After the power is ok, I turned FS up to fly my flight again, but...there wasn't any flightplan in the FMC! And all the altitude/speed/heading/fuel/FMC are reset into default! If you take off with FMC de-rated thrust in the Queen, you automatically revert to full CLB power by FL150. From then on, you can find your rate of climb in VNAV is very high, especially if not heavy. Do operators of the 744 ever keep de-rated N1 on up to initial cruise or up to say FL300 to avoid climbing too fast? For example, I go into the THR LIM page and click on CLB 1 at FL150 or slightly below in order to keep N1 at a lower level for the VNAV climb to initial cruise. Is that realistic (or practical) in the real machine?Jonathan

Hi,I am new here and i have a problem with your wonderful PMDG 744. My VNAV does not work. I put in FL230 in to the ALT box on the MCP and the plane totally ignores this and climbs and climbs until the plane stalls and crashes. Other than this your plane is wonderfulHope someone can help.Alex Crompton

Ground always tells me to taxi to runway and hold short.But since I am using RC4 and do not have excessive traffic on my airports, tower tells me to line up and wait even before I reach hold short position. As soon as I am lined up, I get the TO clearence. Between all this theres not much time for a checklist, so when do I exactly perform the Takeoff checklist for the 744?Now lets assume I have traffic set to 100% and a large airplane queue in front of me waiting to line up on the runway and take off. When would I perform the TO checklist in such a situation?Thx in advance

Hey everyoneI have been working on a SID/STAR file for the RNAV SIDS/STARS at Singapore Changi. I keep getting an error message from line 594. I was wondering if there is a way to skip straight to a line without counting (its a bit too time consuming when the line is 594).Thanks for the Help

Hi!Just installed the 747-400 and searched the entire forum for an answer, but couldn't find the answer!I have no Load Manager. Have I missed something, and the Load Manager is installed via a separate download?Nothing on the desktop, nothing in the PMDG folder, nor the aircraft folder.Secondly, given that PMDG now has quite a few products, would it not be sensible to sub-divide the forum so that it's easy to search/browse under a particualr topic?ThanksNige

all,i have the 747-400, and clibing is a difficulty..?I was climbing to reach FL350, but then my pitch decreased and my climbing stopped. I kept changing from VNAV to FL CHG and nothing happened. I had to dissconect the auto-pilot and do it myself, which lost my speed. I had to change the altimiter to FL320 instead. Then it took 5 minutes to reach MACH .860.What is happeneing?robbie

Hi,I'm still and will be for a long time a newbie with Boeing 747-400, but I'm slowly starting to learn more and more. I've made about a dozen of flights with Routefinder defined routes, but with this one I'm totally lost. The plan is CYVR to VTBD and it starts with direct to YVR VOR, because I don't fly SID or STARS at the moment. After that the route is as follows:J590 YZTJ502 OTZB244 UHMAG212 UHMGB337 TAG212 LRW41 VYKA461 LKOR343 NNGR474 NOBB465 MCR474 ALBOSHowever, after defining via B244 to UHMA, FMC says invalid entry. HiOn the Virgin 744 DVD, on finals I am sure Alan C says something like 'there goes the autopilot' following the 'whoop whoop'disconect sound. What I am not sure about is does the a/p disconnect itself and why or did it disconnet because of another action.Whilst on the subject I can't tell if they land with A/T on or off ?Many thanks for any info, this is puzzling me :-)Steve

Hello,my AIRAC on the 737 is old... its 0313 I've had the plane for a while but never really updated it... I tried entering CANUK3 just now into routes, and it says not in database... so I assume my airac needs updating? anyways, how do I do this?many thanks! :)

Hi,I noticed that while flying the 737-600 or 700, the plane is slow in reaction. Upon full aelron deflection left or right, the plane banks at a rate comparable with a jumbo.How can I arrange quicker respons of the aircraft. I have tried several joysticks an different difficulty settings but no noticable difference.Any help apreciated.Thanks !Faro

Hi!I'm planning my first flight in the 744 (EDDF -> KMIA), and I want to get this right! I'm using activesky, but I have no idea how to calculate how much fuel I'll need to addsubtract to get it just right. It says my average wind for the flight is 263/40. What am I supposed to do now? I really have no idea. I haven't found anything about windfuel planning in the manuals except in the "Cruise and Fuel Planning" file, and that didn't help much... Someone, please help me so I can get this flight started :).

Hello CaptainsI just recently got FSbuild2 to help me do flightplans for flights with the PMDG 747-400.However, I managed to export it as the 737 PMDG flightplan as per the manual.What I don't get is why can't I select SID and STARS of my own choosing from the FMC I click on the LSK keys but there sin't a list of SID's or STARS as I would have thought.Anyone here with FSbuild that could tel me what I am doing wrong. What route planning setting should I have ticked or not ticked ect.Any help appreciated.Thanks,Gian

About every second time I have loaded the FMC and prepare for take off I cannot engage A/TThe I start all over making exactly the same inputs and then i works.If I engage the A/T as the very first thing before opening the FMC the A/T stays on and I have no problems with it.I always start with everything running without caring about all the knobs and switches on the overhead panel.When I have a black panel I choose a Cessna and return to the B737 so I assume it has nothing to do with generators or the like, which I read in an answer to an almost similar question.Hans FogDenmark

Hello All, I'm new to this forum, and to the PMDG 747-400.Although I have a slight issue, which I've searched for but can't seem to find an answer for.Having had the PMDG 747-400 for about 2 months now, and have made countless good flights, some of which are on Google Video... ;o)My queston is this:The ILS display is working 99.9% of the time when on approach, and is a real exersise in precision flying... especially in the rain and wind... ;o)However, on the odd occasion the display "hops".. for example, at 8NM from touch down the localiser and glide scope has been intercepted, the speed is set fine, and only small movments are required to keep her aligned, but all of a s…

Hello,Sometimes you need to clean up everything.Including your PC.A fresh new install should be working fine.However, the B737NG from PMDG is not working after install as it should be. It is a downloaded version from PMDG.On the main panel I have no PFD/ND/EICAS gauges and also no MCP.I do have the stand-by instruments and the standby HSI shows the red flag on top of that instrument.Also no working radio panel...The overhead panel, switches en gauges are working fine.Engines are running!!!!!I'm wondering, is there an avionics switch?Question remains, what am I doing wrong.Like to hear from you soon.Regards,Leo

Hey!I need Help from any other FSBuild user or whoever can say something to this...How can i get the Flightplan used in the PMDG FMC synchronise with that one, the FS ATC uses?For some reason the Export-Function of FSBuild does not work.I cannot export to FS or PMDG.So...can anybody help me out?RegardsThomas
