Hey guys!Just installed some new liveries for the PMDG 73NG and after that the sim keeps crashing. It runs for a few minutes, seconds or whatever and than it crashes.When i load the plane, it seems that my Computer get out of Resources for some 10 seconds or so (extremly low FPS). After that it runs until the above mentioned "pattern" happens.I have installed the Lufthansa and Easyjet liveries from the PMDG download page.The Lauda Air (737-600) seems to cause no problems.And after removing them the sim runs back to normal.What can cause this Problem?Its driving me mad....please help!Kindest regardsThomas

Hi I'm a fairly new to the PDMG 747 and was hoping someone can help me with what I am sure is going to be a basic question.I am unsure how to operate the rudder on the 747. I have a CH flight yoke and according to the default settings buttons 3 & 4 should work the rudder, but they don't appear to. Neither do the number pad controls Ctr + num 0 or Ctr + num enter. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid - can anyone help please.ThanksTrev

hello,Since yesterday I have a problem with my PMDG Freighter. On the Route KLAX to PANC -> GMN4 EHF J65 RBL J1 OED J501 YAZ T479 YZP TR19 FRIED J804R ANC -> the freighter always flies a right offset of about 3nm... Anybody have a flight plan for this route from Los Angeles to Auckland, NZ. I'm going in a couple months via Qantas 747. I hope that Qavion aka (Qantas-bird), can come up with one. I still have the Qantas 747 hat that you gave all of us on the PS1 forum a few years back. Sure would like another one if you can still get them. I might even wear it on the flight...Regards,jack

Hey, Just bought the b1900d. Love it. One problem i have is there is an annoying crackling noise when the plane changes speeds. if i have the levers all the way up it will go away after a while but every other time it is there. it does not happen on my other planes. I have the 737ng and nothing there. It might be becasue it is a prop. Has anyone else had a problem with this and if so please post the fix. thanks for your time and this company is great.

Hi ! Everytime I enter in the scrathpad of the FMC the origin airport code , like KMIA FOR Miami, I get the message " NOT IN DATABASE " so I dont get any route plan. Can somebody help me ?

I finally have everything together in making a successful flight, except one area that has me stumped, and I can't find anything in the manual that explains my problem. I have been training in the 737NG, using FSBUILS ver 2.2, and built a route from KCLE (Cleveland) to KTPA (Tampa), with the route using the DARBS1 (STAR) ending with using runway 18R (using DILS18R)at Tampa. Loading this route into the FMC shows a "disco" between the final point in the DARBS1 star (being DARBS) and the runway. Am I supposed to enter something for the disco'ed entry, or is it normal to have a discontinuity in the LEGS? If it is not normal, how do I go about finding what I need to enter? …

I got a msg on the FMC and it said discountunity (sp) and then the LNAV disengaged... and when I enabled the FMC again it just took made a hard turn left and steered way off course...what just happened?

I go into legs, then last wp which is the runway, and it currently says RW24L... I was just told to land at 6L... well when I input 6L, it says not in database... I also tried RW6L with no luck either...how am I supposed to change the arrival runway?thx!

Hi, sorry for asking about this but i read several tutorials on making approaches with no luck. Hi,Sorry if I missed something in a search of this forum but I could not find anything related to a fairly new developpment in the FMC technology.It appears that some FMCs are now equipped with an automatic page switch which basically opens the relevent page of the FMC for each new phase of the flight as it progresses.Could someone confirm it is already implemented in the airline industry and to what extent it is useful to the pilots. Sure enough it may look helpful as it should follow the logical sequence of the flight but is that not distracting the pilots who may want to stick to a given page of the FMC for other reasons?ThanksMichael

I just had a nasty experience with FS2Crew. I won't go into details but I've deleted it per the uninstall direction but have now lost my 800/900 cockpits. Even though I copied the panel.cfg files that FS2Crew said to copy from the backup location, all my cockpits are now Cessna on the inside but 737 on the outside. I know it's a panel.cfg issue. How do I get my cockpit back to normal?I own TNG, 800/900, 744, and 747F... please don't tell me I have to reload them all to get repaired.

Hi.Just been watching the WAR Ocean Airlines DVD, which is really interesting. They mention that Ocean is looking into getting a 747-400F in the future and I was wondering if any of you painters out there fancied doing a paint of this colour scheme for the PMDG -400F. :-) It is an awsome livery and would look great on the Queen :-hah Cheers Andy S

I purchased the 747 product when it came out a while back. I have since had to install a new H.D. and am re-installing all my FS9 Software. I purchased the 747 Queen of the Skies extended download service, but cannot figure out where, or how i am supposed to re-download the aircraft. My original download link in the PMDG E-Commerce section is still saying "URL is Expired". I have sent PMDG several E-Mails regarding this, but have not recieved any replies. Can someone here help me out on what to do here ? Thanks in advance for the help.

Ok, here I go biting the hand that feeds me (in regards to aviation knowledge) :)The lessons are wonderful and unparalled in the simming add-on world. PMDG's extensive documentation is well written, concise, lucid, and very effusive in expounding upon 747 procedure and systems managment. The type rating series are obviously written to be both informative and 'fun', guiding the reader without being too technologically intimidating.I feel however that there are too many exclamation points in the body of the lesson texts :) For example, "now you are ready to take off! Heres the scenario:I'm quite happily in VNAV, climbing to an intermediate altitude given to me by ATC (ie not my cruise altitude). When I reach this altitude, if ATC haven't cleared me any higher, the plane will level off. But it will switch off VNAV mode, and engage MCP Speed and Alt Hold. Thats fine, but the problem is, when I am cleared higher, and I reset the MCP altitude, when I press VNAV, it doesn't enagage VNAV, it sticks with MCP Speed and changes Alt Hold to V Speed. The same thing happens if you are just about to acquire an intermediate level. You change the altitude, the autopilot automatically switches back to VNAV, but MCP Speed and V Speed are still active.…

Hi all.I am having some problems with cockpit volumes and I would like to know if someone know how to edit this volumes (if it can be done) separately.The switchs clicks are too loud, the GPWS is shouting (speccially the below Glide-slope alert wich is too, tooo, tooooooo loud), although I can hardly hear the F/O speeds callouts during the take-off roll.Thanks a lot,Ciro

Just got my first problem with the NG since purchase 6 months ago.The Starboard engine will not start although I use the Procedure from the Manuals and always load the Default flight before loading the NG; the Port engine starts OK.It's quite likely something I have done; perhaps installed a program or similar. I would just like to know how to correct the problem, please.Ken DaySomerset, England

I was wondering if there is a safe way to do away with the wing flex on the 747? Like maybe an edit or effect file I can change ? The reason I ask is that in a FS video it looks rather, well, not very realistic...Thanks
