Dear PMDG,i asked a while ago now about the possibly getting hold of the files so i may change the ULD's and loading equipment to match my requirements, eg painting them in BA colours and Servisair for the loading equipment and i was promised a reply after someone at PMDG had spoken to the 'painters' plus after checking the legal side with regards to copyright etc, i still havent heard anything, just wondering if any updates on that, im sure im not the only one who would love to paint their favourite airline on the aircraft bins.kind regardsBondhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo_hauler.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

This is my first intercontinental flight.I am flying from Gatwick, London to Boston, US.I setup everthing up and setup crusise level to FL450. But I got a message in the FMC that the max was only FL344 ...OK..so I setlled for FL344. But then.... after I climbed to around FL200 or so...I got a message saying that the max is FL240. I have LNAV and MNAV on and the MCP altitude is set to 34000Any Ideas why?I took a screenshot. but the Page memory is now .98GB and it wouldn't open any application for me to paste the screen capture. I am like 30% on my trip and don't want to stop it.MannyOK.. It froze on me.But I got the screen capture.

Folks,I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to setup my CH Products USB Yoke for use with the 737NG and 744.I'm particuarly interested in how to get the sensitivity and null zones setup so that they closely mimic the real thing. I've played around with the settings, but havent found anything that seems to work.Can anyone out there share their setup of the yoke with me?Thanks!!!

Hi -Can anyone please explain to me how cost index works, and how it should be configured? Both for most cost efficient climbes and steep climbes.In one of the typecourse rating lessons, I can see that the costindex is set to 125. From the AOM I have had the understanding that it can be set to a figure between 0-100.

hello Folks,I was trying to practise some TGO and was wondering how to intersept a given radial on a VOR.I have NO!!!!!! route in my FMC due to no need.I will leave runway heading with a right turn and like to intercept the VOR on radial 088 in abt 15nm.I set FMC as follows:QRG 111.70Mhz and CRS 088 and switched LOC on.There was no intercept on that radial, but the VOR marker went thru the middle line on the display..... but no raction by the plane itself.Same is when flying to an VOR and like to leave VOR on radial 202.Most likely the same procedure like above with no reaction by the plane.I have no probs with PMDG737-800- but this FMC drives me nuts.Any help appreciate.…

Hello all, I have been flying your 744 (pax version) for a pretty long while now and thought I would get the 744F to expand my horizons into the cargo world (PANC), but on first shot when loading it into the sim, everthing is up and running, but then, after a minute or two, it all (CRT panels) goes black, but all the controls work, and the FMC is still operative. Does this have to do with the updated version? I remember reading that the update was for better VC FPS and that when you used a certain panel (dont remember which) it blanked the other screens out. The model that is downloadable is the standard passenger model, but the airline it self has converted freighters, to passenger servicing aircraft with Extended Range fuel tanks. The model you have thats downloadable is for trips Hong Kong to Los Angeles, and not Like the airline has Hong Kong to New York. So my question is will there be any modification to the Cathy Pacific Airways downloable models on your website?Elliotat vanetzianjr at aol.com

hi all, i have the 747-400, and it is bugging me. This problem is the same for the 737-600/700 too.When i am climbing to thirthy thousand feet, the red line that tells me that i can't go faster than that comes down to 360 knots as i climb. Then the red line gets closer and closer to 340 knots. Then my speed drops. What is happening? Look at the picture to see...robbie

Gentlemen,watching a video of the 744F, I have seen that some panel bitmaps have been slightly changed compared to the 744 Pax. E.g., the 3 CRT screens shown in the "maximized" captain panel look more symmetric now - and much better than before.Are those changes 744F-only or did PMDG update the 744 Pax panel too?Cheers,Chris.

Hi,I'm not trying to keep this topic going but I'm going to make this one simple fact about the audio in the ITVV Platinum Virgin Atlantic Video. The audio was not recored using some cheap muffled microphone. These were recorded using the latest digital audio and digital video recording equipment. I've worked with these digital equipment and they are very accurate at reproducing the exact level of all sounds at all frequencies. I've heard these recordings and the real world sounds and one cannot tell the difference. Ken.

I'm curious as to why PMDG isn't planning to exhibit at either the IFC Global Convention at Denver, or the UK Convention in Birmingham? Engravity will be their with their FMC CDU units, and it would bee cool to see these units in operation withthe PMDG products, especially at the Birmingham show should be after FS-X is released . . . Come to the UK . . . pretty please . . .

I think I read somewhere about using rudder trim to get set up on approach for a strong crosswind landing in the 744, but I cannot remember exactly. How do you use rudder trim for such a situation--if, indeed, you do!Thanks.Jonathan Sacks

Captain Randazzo,I have been flying PMDG 747 mainly with LNAV, VNAV autopilot, so that the Lesson Three is much valuable and useful for me.It describes ", so set your speed to 250 knots and press the SPD button to instruct the auto throttles to maintain this speed once you reach it." on the page 3-4.However, I cannnot set to the SPD mode with press the SPD button after pass 1000' AGL on the start from 'PMDG 744 TRC Lesson3 Part 1'. Hi members!I was flying yesterday on the -400F night time on the sim, and since i was Trasnporting flowers and meat, i must to keep the temp all on its lowest settings in cargo. strange thing happen when in overhead pannell "CKT BKR OVHD PANEL" at its lowest light setting for cruiseing, with dome lite off, look at weird testure of "FWD MAIN DECK TEMP" switch???!! (MAKE sure that FWD MAIN DECK TEMP switch is on lowest setting...you see strange light texture??can anyone report same incident? maybe needs to be repaired.also, i don know how to add photo for example. can someone do this for here? thanksjames chiong

I was recently preparing for a flight from Atlanta (KATL) to Orlando (KMCO) with the 747. While I was programming the FMC, I inserted KMCO as destination. But then, the following message occured: "KMCO err: IARK unknown". I proceeded, and departed for KMCO, but later, I found out thet there were no available arrivals or approaches for KMCO in the FMC.I have recently installed a scenery package wich includes both KMCO and KATL, and there were no problems with KATL (or any of the other airport in the package), so I gues that's not the problem. I checked the SID/STAR files in the PMDG folder, and KMCO was there as well.Anyone have any ideas??

Fellow Captains,Whenever there is an 'Alias" in Panel configuration (such as in the -600), I cannot open any add-on window, such as a sound and voice I have.Although the 'real' panel has that feature, edited by me, the 'alias' doesn't copy it.Any clue on how to do it?ThanksBPilot

hi all, i have now got the 747 queen of the skies, but i'm already having my troubles with it. When there is a switch or a knob that i want to play with, it doesn't let me. I can't turn switches that has a knob. I can't fly the plane unless i can move switches. When i do switch on one of them, i can't turn them back as they were before. It just comes up with this gold arrow with it pointing both ways. Could anyone help me?robbie
