Hello,I think this thing got suggested before but, what about an utility to generate SID/STAR files easily so updates can be done really easily.Idea from a really happy PMDG user.

Good day all.I have had to re-install my FS2004 after a system restore and have gone through the process of installing all add-ons etc etc.I have installed my 737NG & 800/900 and then the Queen. When this is installed it causes and error with the PMDGOptions.dll when I turn off FS, giving me the error report and option to send to Microsoft.It is annoying the pants of me, any one any ideas on whats wrong. It never used to this before.Dale.

Some questions for you all . . .When a STAR has a hold, how do you . . .a) exit the hold if the moment you enter it (and teh FMC have made teh HOLd the active leg) you are cleared to proceed? (if you are cleared before you enter the hold you just delete the entry from the LEGS page right?):( continue to hold for more than one circuit?c) manually enter a hold in a flight plan?Ant pointers to procedures would be welcome . . .

Captains;I'm enroute FRA-LAX on UAL8875 and noticed something interesting when I was setting up my ETOPS diversion airports & arcs on the FIX page.The distance I know ls limited to 511nm on the -400 but I could enter distances of up to 1,000nm or more. Just wondering if this is indeed a problem (I've had the 'INVALID ENTRY' message if I tried to enter a value of greater than 511nm before) or some feature I do not know about.'Thoughts?Thanks :)

Captain Randazzo,Before completion of the TRC Lesson 3, I have not yet understood only your instruction "set your speed bug to 250 knots and press the SPD button to instruct the auto throttle to maintain this speed once you reach it." on the TRC 3 Maneuvering page 3-4, because in this sequence the thrust mode is in TRH REF with pressing the TOGA button after the engines have stabilized at around 70% of N1.The manual AUTOMATIC FLIGHTMANAGEMENT SYSTEMS page 8-12 describes in SPD Switch: "cannnot be engaged while the auto throttle is in THR REF mode."How I should read this instruction?Sincerely,Kan-ichiro Fushihara

Watching several real 747-400 cockpit takeoff videos, I notice the captain will advance the throttles, wait for the engines to stabilize, then press the TOGA switches to engage the autothrottle. After a few seconds, the F/O calls out something that sounds like "Fifty percent", to which the captain responds, "I have control". These exchanges are made before the standard '80 Knots' callout. I'm surmising this initial takeoff callout has something to do with manually backing-up the autothrottles perhaps?Also, I may be misunderstanting the 'Fifty percent' callout as the crews in these video are all very British and, consequently, speak with British accents. Manual says: "Standby bus will automatically providepower if main bus fails."Ok, this is quite understandable but which bus is the main bus?Furthermore, what are the meanings of these three different positions (1,NORM,2) you can select with the standby ignition selector?Thx in advance

I have input all the neccessary things into the FMC and while sitting on the runway, I flip the switch for the auto throttle, but the plane just sits there. I also cannot seem to engage lnav and vnav while on the runway. Are these things normal. I was just wondering because while doing a manual takeoff i hear the vpeeds called out and get airborn, but once i can get the autothrottle working while in the air, the plane starts to "porpoise" and stalls. Im almost sure i got the correct data entered into the FMC, so i THINK thrust settings should be right. I am running the plane in the default weight setting. I figured the v-speeds to be based on 152k lbs. also, i have…

I see we have paintkits in JPG format. Is there a compiler program of some sort that puts it all together to be useable for MSFS?Or, if not, how to you go about making a plane once your all done painting one? -Adam Harmon

I've been getting a problem relating to V-NAV when I enter the descent profile of the flight.ATC give me the OK to descend from FL360 to FL220, so I reduce the FL setting in the MCP, push the button and the Queen starts to head for the ground at the required speed etc etc as per the FMC Descent "ECON DES" Profile and obviously, my Flight-Plan set-up.No worries there you might say..? However, at around FL240 on route from KORD to KDFW the Queen starts to level out, for no apparent reason at all..? I've checked out everything Econ SPD, DES To, SPD Trans all OK..! I've read the FMC Descent Operations Manual and followed its instructions to the word, but the level out stil…

Hi!I'm just wondering how I can calculate a realistic cargo weight after setting how many passangers I want on a flight (737NG) using the Load Manager. And when having that number, do I just put 5050 in the forward and aft cargo compartments?

I decided to try a repaint. I know there is already an American Airlines repaint available but I wanted to try it out. The hardest part was trying to get a good aluminum texture. The repaint forum helpped with that. I used photos from Airliners.net to get the layout as close as possible. Since we don't fly 747s any more I changed some things to make it consistent with our current fleet. I used N101AA for the N number and use 1AA for the ship number. I have deleted the 747 Luxury Liner from the fuselage since this screen shot was done. That has been removed from all or almost all the planes by now. I don't know why they decided to do that. First, I apologize if you already read this in another forum, alot of us frequent many forums some of us only one or two and I am trying to get as much visibility to this post as possible.Everyone, I really hope this is the final fix. This is probably a really dumb question but how do you get the cross feed to work?I have flicked the cross feed switch to on so it lights up blue but i still get a fuel warning light when the center tank is close to empty.Where am i going wrong??

Recently I have started having trouble with the autothrottle engaging, actually not engaging. I start and push and while taxiing to the active try to engage the autothrottle and it will either not engage or engage for a second or so and then disengage.Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

I asked this question yesterday and had some success, is there a tool for auto programming the rte and legs on the 737 900 fms( same as 800 or 700), I want to simply import a .pln or .rtee into the fms, rather than spend the time programming it fully. is that possible? I tried the tool from nordic but it did not quite work....thank you in advance
