PMDG General Forum

  1. Hi Guys,I've searched the forum, but couldn't find a concrete answer on this. I have my FS realism settings at 50%, because I think I set it that way due to a recomendation by a add-on developer for another plane.Should I be using 100% for PMDG planes? Is the model coded that way, and or is there any benefit to it?Thanks in advance,John

    HelloI've used the pmdg 737 for quite a long time now, nothing wrong..BUT suddenly for around a week ago i tried loading up the 737 and the loading screen just stalled at 0% and it crashed just like that..i've tried loading the deafult Cessna and THEN swithching to the 737, no result.I've installed the newest airac cycle, no result.Please help me!PS: when i load the deafult cessna first and then switches to the 737 it makes a wierd noise before it exites...Thanks in advance,TRULS

    Gents,Had a flight from ENZV to EKCH (Stavanger to Copenhagen) and choosed the Rosbi2c STAR for a ILS landing on RWY22L. Everything worked according to plan until I was approaching D17 waypoint before turning right for intercepting Localizer, instead of overflying my D17 waypoint LNAV made a shortcut before reaching D17 waypoint and turned right far before and straight towards the LAMOX IAF waypoint overshooting the turn and missing it as well. LNAV also plottet a left turn white dottet circle to the left as this was happening?? I have attached the ILS approach plate. I just cant understand what I did wrong. Should I have set a intercept course to LAMOX. Is there anyway t…

  9. After takeoff I raised the landing gear but the annunciator remained green for the LEFT main. I cycled the gear and the indication remained. I did a flyby past the tower (okay...I switched to spot view!) and was informed that my RIGHT main was fully extended.I checked the abnormal procedures list and this condition is not indicated. I looked for an alternate gear system (secondary hydraulic system) but could find no switch/control for that function. I checked the overhead panel and engine and electric pumps were all on.So...the question is; what are the options to deal with that situation...or any hydraulic system issue in the -800?     I've tried to fail both pumps for either the system A or B hydraulics, and although I get an indication that the failure has occured in the failure control panel there's nothing happening in the cockpit itself. I get no master caution or anything. What can I do here?

    Im hoping that this is a simple answer but ill ask it anyways :)Ive noticed looking at several photos of the 747 that the back wheels of the landing gear hang lower than the front. Is this because when the aircraft is landing the back wheels are the first to touch down and on take off the last to lift off? Or is it down to the bank of the aircraft and the weight pushes the wheels down? lets say the aircraft was a level flight with the landing gear down would the back wheels still be slightly lower? Were they designed that way, also does the landing gear have suspension settings? Sorry for all the questions just noticed it myself and its also modelled in the PMDG 747

    Hello,I have a problem with my 737NG. The FMGC system doesn't manages the speed during the flight. All settings are made and the FMGC says, that it would hold a speed from 320kt during the CRZ-flight. But, when I'm in CRZ, it doesn't hold this speed. VNAV und LNAV are activated. When I look at my PFD, it shows the speed 4857kts in magenta .... but on the FMGC are 320kts set. What should I do?Thanks for help.P.S: I have installed the newest version of 737NG.

TO and CLB selected in the THRUST PAGE.     1. I have found that the C&D fuel pumps configuration is different if I use the GE engins model (Lufthanssa) or the P&W engins model. I noticed that the GE configuration matches the status as in the Tutorial from Mr. Holgar Seilz, while the P&W configuration match the Normal Procedures PMDG document.Is it OK? Is this how it is in real life and in the model?2. I have noticed that the Normal Procedures PMDG document include actions for 2 pilots.     I have been able to start the plane with sucess up until about a day or so ago.When I try to start the engine CTRL E like i always have, it will start to go through the start up sequence, but shut down, and try to start back up again, and the WARNING light - sound will do a similar dance.I have tried reinstalling the plane with no success. Could this be an fs9.cfg issue or something else? Im using the latest FSUIPC.Zach Bender K7LTF

  25. Hi, This is day four with this outstanding simulation and I have so far been able to fiqure out most of my problems. However, I have not been able to get the LNAV switch to activate and couple to the autopilot. Have read the documentation and checked the boards for help but so far no joy.... I have loaded all the flight plan data in the FMC and it looks like all info is good. I am not using or setting up any VNAV or speeds in the FMS. I get a display of all the data correctly in the NAV display, Magenta line, all fixes on the route, green alt capture arc and the VOR data for the next fix its DME on top of the arc.
