Dan,I need some add advise on how chage the .cfg file so all the DU'S are full scale, is a sirten way of doing it or will it be in service update any advice will help Cherrs Colinand a quick question when will advised tutorial will b out?????

Can anyone give any feedback with the compatibility with X-Graphics and PMDG 747x and MD11? Any known problems?

Ok... I got something of the 747 load manager being a bit askew. Things are not aligned in it... Any ideas???Here is a screenie... I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit It still works... but is mis-aligned... my EFIS screes are also just SLIGHTLY not quite right... I will get ascreenie of it in a bit.

Hi,If I put in a random pax. load and 1/3 fuel for a short flight (from the drop-down menu), why do I get a cautionary warning about the CG? It flies fine but it is a little unnerving to have the cautionary light on all the time.Meekal

The textures on my default MD-11's have become blurred. Only the textures on the tail are clear. Can I fix this short of re-installing?Meekal

the plane flies perfect...but from the external view the aeilerons are both down the whole time...this would not be a good situation in real life!

FMC is showing optimum FL390 and max FL407. Aircraft is not able to maintain econ crusing speed of .822 at FL320 and this is a much lower altitude than optimum altitude. After level off the speed decreases from .822 to .73 with econ selected. I need to select MCT or even TOGA to get the airspeed back to econ speed. Im flying with real world weather. And this is at relativly light weights. I have not tried with heavy weights. Anybody having the same problems??

Hi all,Incredible plane.Is there a way to zoom more out when using the virtual cockpit ?I would like to spread the window bars across the 3 screens and have more left front view.Now at the far left there is the window bar from the cockpit.To obtain this I need to zoom out more than I can now.Any suggestions ?Thanks in advance.

Dear all,when recently I made a travel into the high north, I found that I was not able to select an approach into BGTL (Thule, Greenland).I am using the default AFCAD files provided by PMDG with the bird (did they update compared o the 744X by the way?).I did a quick search with the notepad and it seems that the airport is correctly represented in the files. There is even a SID/STAR file for BGTL which seems to correctly list the ILS Approach available for BGTL.In the FMC I cannot see any approach listed and even cannot select a runway for VFR approach. Seems perhaps the runway is missing?Anyone out there with a similar problem or even better is there a fellow who can ch…

To make a long story short and get to the good stuff. I was moving to my new apartment and decided to go through some stuff that my mom had brought me that I had when I was a kid. I was going through and throwig away old magazines and other junk when I ran across the book that got me interested in aviation to begin with. Started flipping through it and made it to the McDonnell Douglas section and interestingly enough there were a few pictures of what I would say is the MD-11 prototype because it looks nothing like the MD-11 we know in the cockpit. Hello,Im flying with the PMDG 737NG under FS9 since a long while and Im a big fan of the detailed and precise model it represents.I have in the next months the opportunity to buy a new machine and wondered, which hardware specs I would require to get the upcoming FSX 737NG running smoothly and also together with add-on sceneries and IVAO? (at the moment I cant use any additional sceneries or the 3D cockpit). My second question is that I have read that the PMDG products wouldnt run properly under Vista. Dan I'm planning a flight from KJFK to KBOS. Feeding the FMC is straightforward until choosing the appropriate STAR.I have three areas of information:1.The chart for runway 22L named "RNAV (GPS) RWY 22L"2.The STARS in the FMC which are:CAMRN4, ENE.ALL, IGN8, LENDY5, PLYMM4.ALL, PWLZ.ALL3. Information in your download relating to runway 22L. However I don't know how to use this data. How can I get not get the virtual cockpit on the MD-11? I have tried to click on it on and it does not want to go away. I would like if possible to fly the MD-11 without the virtual cockpit. Any help would be appreciated. I like to fly the MD-11 in a 2-D mode, and only use the virtual cockpit when I want to. For me it's hard to to get in a 2D mode. Thanks for the help.C. Hi Guys, Any chance of a Dragonair 747-400 Livery for Fs9. I know there is one for Fsx in the download section at pmdg. And after many searchesthrough Avsim. This would be a first . I have noticed a rattling sound when the flaps are deployed at 50 degrees. Is this normal or am I exceedingthe airspeed.Ron

One of the 50,000,000 little things I love about the MD11 is the fact that you have to watch out for your fuel freezing. However, I've done a few transatlantic flights lately and have run into a problem. Now that winter is upon us, my TAT has gone down well below -40c at about FL300 or so. At first I thought this may be a bug with my weather engine (REX) but I looked at the current upper level winds/temps and saw that YES it really is that cold up there. This has caused my fuel to freeze and my engines to shut down. When I descend to about FL250 I am able to restart them but this has left me with no option but to cruise at around FL250. So my question is if it is realisti…

I recently discovered on a long flight in the Queen if you are tired and thirsty you can take a "walk" back thru the 1st class cabin and grab a can of PMDG Jet C from the galley for a quick pick me up. LOL! I hope at least the first class is modeled on the 737 although I realize this may take up valuable cockpit resources. It is kind of fun to go back and watch Otto do the landing from back there.John KSEA

Have posted about this before but still no resolution. Please note that this problem ONLY occurs with the freighter version and not the pax version of the MD-11. Every time I enter the fuel weights (whether manually or using the right-click shortcuts) after I go to the next page and enter the fuel amount I get a green warning bar at the top of the screen saying that the ZFWCG and/or the GWCG are "out of range". This causes me no to be able to set the V speeds on the TO/ARR page. Again, everything works fine when I use the same procedure on the passenger versions.Any suggestions?Jeff EvansRocklin, CA
