I am looking through the manuals but I can't find a clear and full 'explanation for newbies' of all displays. Luckily I have flown various big ones a few years back, so I am getting along alright (well, with the tutorial anyway), but not everything is clear to me. (I wonder if a complete newbie to these kind of planes will ever understand all screens!) I remember from my previous planes I had nicely colored pictures :( with an explanation of each and every detail of the PFD and so on (like what all those colored lines and dots mean and a list of all possible text at the top of the PFD, etc. etc.), but... I can't find those in the MD-11 manuals. I love reading those kind …

I just installed PMDG 744 and FSCREW. Each time I take off I hear the autopilot disconnect sound and I can not engage the autopilot at all. Can anyone provide some help. Thanks

On occasion, when in the 2D panel mode my sub-panels appear behind the 2D panel forcing me to change views so I can access the sub panel. As of right now the OH and FMC appear behind the 2D panel while the TQ panel appears on top of the 2D panel. Before, I believe all sub panels appeared on top of the 2D panel. The sub panels are assigned to buttons on my TQ's. If I access them by the hot spots on the 2D panel they appear on top as normal. If I use my button to return to the 2D, then I have a black section where the panel is supposed to be. I hope that I've made this situation clear enough. Purchase info says XP only. Is that still standing? Is a patch available? Love the 747 and would like to have the 737. I'm using FS9 and Vista 32. Answers appreciated... (P.S. I didn't find the answer using search, maybe I missed it.)

Well I am having a problem with the MD-11. First off I am running FSX with SP2, Intel Centrino Duo 2.0 GHz, 2MB RAM, Nvidia Quattro NVS 128 MB. I know that my system does not meet the minimum requirements but it did run the MD-11 perfectly fine, until now. For about the first 2 weeks that I had the product everything worked fine until a few days ago and it stopped working. I would go to load the MD-11 after loading the default flight and FSX would freeze for a few minutes then an error message would come up and say "A Fatal Error Has Occured." Then it asked to send and error report and/or restart FSX. I re-installed FSX and the MD-11 and uninstalled any other add-ons I ha…

For some reason when reverse thrust is selected the red ENG FAIL warning light illuminates. It is extinguished once the nosewheel touches down.Does anyone know the reason for this. Is it just a bug?Martin Neep

I installed the new Eaglesoft citation x 2.0 then decided I didn't like it. Uninstalled it. Now my pmdg 737 aircraft freeze up when loading. Then fs9 restarts. Any ideas?ThanksNate

After installing the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines version (Non-Classic). I get a crash to FSX, It would come up and load with the blue logo screen as usual, But before It actually displays flightsim, It gives me a Fatal Error!Ive sent the error reports, But Now I cant use FSX or do anything due to this, All was fine UNTIL I installed that livery.Please Help! Hey Guys,I was just wondering if the NGX was going to be for FS9 as well as FSX. I saw that it was going to be a whole new and better 737 than the one made for FS9(which I find very hard to believe :( ). Anyway I hope it is, many people still use FS9 and it would be smart to make it compatable to both. Thanks. -Alex Bailey

Has anybody used the alternative 2D look-around panels for the 747 Queen that PMDG is offering? How do they look? I'm really used to VC mode, but my frame rates are a problem at times. I have an older system that really starts to choke in VC mode around major airports.Kim

Hi,I run FSX with SP1+2 installed on WIN VISTA BIZ, 8GB RAM, IP35Pro Motherboard, Sapphire ATI HD 87XX series 512MB, etc, and get the following error when trying to set up the MD11:"Could not locate a valid FSX.CFG file. Please contact [email protected]"I have run the FSX path fixer of Flight1 to check that the FSX.CFG file is really there and that the directory is pointing at the right location.Started all over but got the same darn problemHELP!!!!!!!Best regards, PatrickFYI - 64bit version of Windows vista

I have a Flap / Spoiler Issue - When The Spoilers deploy they only deploy on the left side, and its not all the spoliers Its just the inner left spoilers deploying.And on the flaps, as you know theres a break on the wings diving the flaps And When I deploy my flaps The inner flaps (Closer to Aircraft body) Come down. But my outer flaps (Closer to winglets) They remain up and never move. This is another issue driving me nuts, Can you please help me? Itll be much appreciated.Thanks.Joe B.

Is it possible to use keyboard keys in stead of the upper left screw of the MCP as TOGA button?I will explain.I am using the PMDG B737 in combination with a flight deck I'm building. I have the displays undocked and placed in different monitors. So I don't use the MIP panel anymore, but the CPFlight MCP instead. But when I want to select TOGA speed I have to pop up the MCP window again to push the screw with the mouse pointer. It would be easier if I could use keybord keys (for which I will programm a single key on my Logitech G15 keyboard). So..... is there a keyboard combination for the TOGA button?BTW the N1 button of the CPFlight MCP can be programmed as a TOGA button…

While gathering all the information I can about the PMDG MD-11 (don't want to spend that much money without knowing for sure if I really want it!) I discovered the link to this forum on the PMDG-site (here: http://www.precisionmanuals.com/priv/pages/forum.html ) is old: it leads towards the old not-existing Avsim-forum (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=136 instead of http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showforum=136). You might want to update that page ASAP. :( Still in doubt btw what to do with that MD-11... :(

Well One issue is, When the spoiler is deployed - It deploys only on the left side, and Its not even a full spoiler Its just the inner spoiler.Another issue is the Flaps. As you all know the MD-11 Flaps are broken on the wing into to parts due to the middle part. And The Inner flaps (closest to the aircraft body) Only Extend. But The outer Flaps (Closest to the winglets) Remain up and dont extend, Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi Gentlemen of PMDGI was just wondering if you will be making available the liveries for the FS9 version prior to the aircraft coming out as you did with the FSX version? :( Also will you be monitoring how many FS9 purchases are made against FSX, it's got to be very interesting from a commercial perspective.Finally, a variation on a yuletide poem for you. Hi FolksAfter having to reinstall several addons, including the MD-11, I can no longer access the fuel load sliders on the load manager.The shot below shows how they're stuck. Can't move it at all. I can change the fuel load in the aircraft, and i have tried another reinstall. Any ideas?

I am inserting the STAR for IGS 13A at Kai Tak, and in the right colum of the FMS screen I am asked to fill in the MIN PROF....what would be a MIN PROF for insering this particular STAR? The FMS won't insert the STAR unless I fill in the MIN PROF.

Can anyone tell me whether this patch will work for FSX with a Vista 32 bit OS or do I need 64 bit. Peter.

Hey Pmdg, since Delta now owns Northwest and since Northwest has 744s, will we see a delta 744 repaint any time soon?Thanks
