I have today reinstalled PMDG 737NG on my new rig. On first access, a notice appeared that said "PMDG737.dll" was incompatible using FS2004 and did I want to ignore or use? My question is: Is this file necessary or should it be deleted?ThanksDom

Is there anyway to use normal computer keyboard to input FMC (eg. for LevelD 767 if you press mouse in the upper left corner then your pc keyboard will be able to input into FMC)....anything similar for 747 for FSX??

In the Flight Plan folder there is an instruction to reinstall in order to extract the Flight Plans.I've followed that instruction but no plans have emerged. Are they on another folder somewhere?Is it relevant to mention that I had uninstalled the FS9 747 before installing the new one into FSX this morning?Cliff

I had understood that pressing the CLR button then selecting the current route on 1R on the INIT page would clear previous entries thus allowing me to start programming again from scratch.However when doing so I receive a message "Not Allowed" as shown on the attachment.If I'm wrong how do I clear all entries please?Cliff

Hey guys there might be a real simply answer to this but i aint figured it out yet lol, once iv been flying for prob just over half hour anti ice on i get a system amber fault message on the md11 saying bleedair fault 1 and same for engine 2 and 3 too stays on for a while this goes and comes back is this anything to do with the anti ice being on or what im not a hundread percent sure on this fault also i get a indication no ice deteced even though its like -50c up in the air lol but i would still have the anti ice on. if anyone can answers this be a great help cheers guys.Paul

Good day everyone, I have Win Vista 32bit and an operative system with 4Gb of RAM. Very often it happens to me that while flying with MD11 or B747-400, obviously with FSX SP2, I catch a OOM, expecialy during cruise.I request your help to know what I should do to delete those errors and play FSX at an higher level (since now I have to set all indicators to a medium level to not get an OOM error even during taxi-out) :)So...should I upgrade to Win Vista 64bit? How can I gat the upgrade since I have the Home Premium Edition? I do not if it is important or not but I have a Dell PC.Thanks a lot for your help.Lorenzo Chiovaro

Hi chaps!Am having a nightmare of a time searching this in the forums. Consistently when I fly into YMHB with the 737, I get some sort of FMC message prior to approach for the ILS12. It goes something like "RWY/CRS APP ERROR", or something like that. As far as I know, I am doing things right, but I am not that familiar with the 737. I have entered the ILS frequency into both navigation radios, have heading and course selectors set to approach heading etc. The one thing I notice is that in the FMC, on the approach page, it gives 109.90/132 as the FREQ/CRS. On the PFD, in white, it says 109.90/120. 120 seems to be the correct one, as per latest charts. This is the f…

Dear Sir's,i've try to fly the tutorial flight egll-lszh,i put in an altitude of 37.000ft,end once in midair i got a message in the flight comp.that say's above maxflight level,and the figures are 43.000 ft.Any idea what i do wrong????? The MD-11 tutorial says that choosing DISARM ALL will result in a simulated call into the cabin to disarm. Does that mean I should hear something (like during pushback)? Because I don't hear anything. DOOR OPEN does appear on the EAD, so it works, but I just if I should be hearing somehing nice or not.

Hi all, and happy christmasFirst, sorry my english i'm from germany!!!My problem is:Everytime i load the MD-11 the engines are running.My default flight is: Cessna 172P batterie = off avionics = off fuel = cutoff throttle = idleWhen i load this flight the cessna is "cold & dark" and engine off. The same when i replace the cessna with the default B747-400.But when now i load the MD-11 the engines are running and the panel is in "before start" mode with INS off.Then i've create a default flight with the MD-11 and save the flight with loaded "cold & dark" panelstate.But the same…

Hi allI've installed a cd version of 737-800/900 yesterday. I have fs2004 installed on my G drive not C drive, the software installed ok but I'm having a few problems with livery installs. I'm using XP home editionThat aside, when I try to open the load manager it reports that it cannot find a valid install of fs2004.I've looked on the forum but can't see anything that relates to this.Can anyone help please?ThanksPaul

Ok, I am sure the FMS method works fine for doing ILS's in the MD11. My question is if there is a "last moment" Runway change, or if I didn't plan the FMC data well, how do I setup the ILS? Here was my sceneraio other night where I took over manually to land...I decended on my own and setup for the runway. I went to the RAD page on the FMC, and entered the ILS FREQ and COURSE. As I approached the centerline, I pressed the autopilot "APPROACH" Button, thinking this would arm the ILS, and it would capture. Reading the manual during cruise isn't always a great idea, because way too often I just have to test what I just read... :( So right now I've been fooling around with the alitude settings on the FCP. Going to manual, hold, etc. and back to PROF. I thought... But just now I noticed two things:1. the hold alt on the PFD (37000) isn't magenta anymore but white... how can I get it magenta again? Pressing PROF doesn't do the job. It IS supposed to be magenta when you fly with PROF, right?2. What does that little cirle with 1388 mean... (just above 29.92)? How did I get it there and how do I get rid of it (if necessary)?

Is there a way to force the FMC to overfly waypoints added to a flightplan? Normally the FMC will anticipate the turn to a new course and turn before arriving a a waypoint but there are circumstanses where you want to actually pass over the waypoint before starting the turn. It can be done in the definition of a STAR or SID. How do you do it by directly typing into the FMC?Dave

Before take off from Alicante bound for Heathrow I set the cruise altitude to 30,000 ft assuming that the altitude profile will be followed by the FMC.However in the attachment you'll see that we're approaching the waypoint of ALT/10A which, according to the Flight Plan, should be crossed at 8,282 ft. In fact we have been climbing ever since leaving the airport and are now at 18,800 ft.As this happens only occasionally I'm not sure of the cause of the problem.Any suggestions please?Cliff

Sorry, if this has been asked before, but as I still have to read about 1000 pages of the manuals, I thought it would be quicker to get an answer here. As I understand the MD-11 was delivered with three engine variants: Pratt & Whitney PW4460 (266.9kN / 60,000lb), PW4462 (276kN / 62,000lb) and General Electric CF6-80C2D1F (273.6kN / 61,500lb). So, if I want to use the most powerful engines, which liveries do I have to use. Of course it is easy to discard all GE - powered aircraft/liveries BUT which airlines used the PW4462 engines?Richard

Ok let me first start to say that on the PMDG 737 for FS9 if I were lets say at LIRF at the gate I programmed my FMS including the SID departure on runway 34L I could decrease the range on my Display Unit and see were the runway are to taxi to .On arrivals if i programme a STAR it takes me right in , no problems here.I cannot seem to do this with the MD 11 , I get the SID programmed but it doesn`t show me were 34L is , I use charts to do this as I should but it is nice to see this on the DU.ThanksJohan

I've sent several emails to your support address the end of November and early December but have not received a reply. Therefore using the forum in hopes that management will read. I purchased PMDG 747 and 747F on 23 Nov 2008 and was double billed. Can someone at PMDG please shoot me an email at my registered email account and explain the process for reimburesment or credit.
