Greetings:I hate to gush, but the PMDG MD-11 is simply the best money I have EVER spent on a Flight Simulation product, period. I have used it for about 3 weeks and I am amazed at how well it works and how much fun it is to fly this aircraft! Amazing value for money and I congratulate you on a job well done.I want to blame this on REX which I recently purchased and really, really enjoy but it still has lots of bugs. I fly real weather with updates, and over the past two days, the temperature at altitude (approx FL380) is circa -40 to -60 degrees C. So when I switch to VC from 2D it take like 1-2 sec for the textures to load is this normal?I have friends with lower system and the textures load imidietly.am running at 1600*1050Just in case here are my specs:Q6600 3.0GHZ CPU4GB DDR2 Ram 800Mhz1GB 9800GX2 Video Card

After experiencing my first random ever engine fire I learned it is a good idea to practice a few handle pulls and twists first. I lost precious seconds trying to learn the mouse handle twist during the actual event. The random failure options is awesome. Most of the time they are fairly routine like electric faults but hey that is real world.John

Hi everybody, just getting a bit of problem with the a/c sound, I strongly believe that is has to do with my hardware but since it doesn't bite to ask is there anybody encountering the same kind of issue ?it seems like the sound doesn't keep up, comes on and off and then when it finally seems to be getting normal distortions happens. Any assistance would be great. I did use the search tool but hasn't been successfully and keep in mind that I do update drivers on regular base (OS Windows Vista 32, sound card ASUS Xonar dx2 ). Just have a question about this quote What if My flight plan is something like this.YVR ADSIX PCE BOOTH OPALE YYCAnd ATC tells me to fly DCT PCE... if I enter DIR INTC / PCE, how do I ensure that the rest of my flight plan doesn't dissappear. I used to have this issue on the wilco A320; it would fly to the point when instructed to fly DCT somewhere, but after crossing the point it wouldn't continue on the flight plan.Thanks !

I didn't see this anywhere else so I just figured I would give a heads up that the winglets has left and right painted over the klm logo, I guess it is some marker from the paintkit that was not removed before it was exported.

Just out of curiousity.I loaded a flight for the FS9 MD-11.On the flight planner, it stated that the cruise speed is 482 GS.I looked at the aircraft config and max cruise is listed as 482.I was thinking the cruise speed for an MD-11 is approx. 544 GS with typical knots @ 473.Is the listed speed in the aircraft config due to software limitations?Not a big deal, just wondering.PMDG, you out did yourselves on MD-11.There is not enough words to describe the excellence.

Hey guys,I am trying to set the parking brake in the MD 11 in FS9.When I set the parking brake, the aircraft handle moves, but I don't see the FS9 text on the lower left that says parking brake.When I try to use the aircraft with FSPassengers it complains that the parking brake is not set so I can't start a flight.Any suggestion on what I can do so that FS9 parking brake can be enabled on the MD 11?Thanks much in advance,Teo

Hey PMDG Team ! I'd like to congratulate you on a splendid product.I've posted a pic of what the take off flap setting should look like; I am not exactly sure what the flap settings are and what the mathematics of it is, but it seems like when the MD11 takes off, both the inboards and outboards ailerons drop as well such as in these videos. I tried each individual flap setting and noticed that none of the settings had the coordinated aileron drop associated with it. I am not sure if this fix is small or if it takes a grand time out of your life - it would be nice to have this fixed :)I posted a pic of what it should look like in fs as well :)Also, when the wing flex is…

does the MD-11 use the same text file as the PMDG 747 when exporting the flight plan using FSBUILD Michael

Helloooo I have been waiting for the Fs9 version of the MD11 for a while since it came out for FSX , now its out im thinking of getting it but just wondered what the frame rates are like , i mainly fly from the 2D cockpits ( for airliners and VC for GA ) and the PMDG 737s and LVL D 767 run great , i noticed theres no refund option so i would like to be sure its gonna run .. my PC specs are quite low by todays standered ..AMD 4000 +2 GIG 667 DDR WIN XP SP2GF 7600 GT Graphics card SB 5.1 Live ( with crackling sounds dohh :( ) sound card FS 9.1 Thanks Rich

Hi there,First I'm short of words to express you how much I enjoyed your new MD-11 during the tutorial flight (EGLL-LSZH). The flight was so smooth. Everything worked properly after following carefully the flight document. I was surprised that the MD-11 has such advanced features compared to other airliners like the 767 or even the 747 (APU goes off automatic :( ) yet it will someday disappear from our skies. So sad!Believe me when I say that the PMDG MD-11 exceeded my expectations. It's better than the 747 even with the few bugs that I will mention below. Hello Guys,MD11 PMDG/FS9 have only painel+cockpit virtual? or have only painel 2d? :(

Am I doing something stupid?In the 'Your email address' I use the email address I used to order. Order confirmation received ok.In the Order ID box I put in my Transaction ID.In the Password box I put in my Authorization code.The installer then says 'Unable to validate your license'. :( I've sent an e-mail to PMDG support with full order details but wondered if I was doing something stupid in my excitement.

After having some fun with the big 11 and taking some screenshots, i found that the noswheel doors is barely closed when the gear is down. For me it's not a big thing, but i'm just wondering if this is normal or if it is a so-called "bug"?Here's two screenshots to show you what i mean:

I tried to find the knob or switch for the range switch for the map in the ND. I have tried to find it in the manuals (printed) but till now I found only the remark it whould be located on the ECP, which is located on each outboard end of the GCP. Sure it is my bad searching, but I can't find it.Please, is there someone able to help me locating the right knob or switch?

Hi!Just wanted to express my gratitude to PMDG MD-11 developers, this is probably the best addon for FS9, I've will ever come across.Don't matter if there's no wingviews or similar, got to have the eyes in the cockpit at all times :( .Now ready for a steep learning curve, but isn't that what it's all about...

I have just bought the Combo of the MD-11, so I can have both versions when I buy FSX.Okay. Here is my problem. I have tried to install the FS9 version for 10 times now. I insert my email (the correct one), the Order ID (with out the #) and my password, hvis I guss is the one I have to use to log on the PMDG eCommerce.But every time it gives me a "Unable to validate your license. Contact the PMDG Technical support".Am I doing things right? This is my second download buy at PMDG.Thanks for any help.

Hi there, As the title says I am trying to order the PMDG MD-11 for FSX, I am definitely logged into my account and when checking my shopping cart it clearly says: Qty. 1 PMDG for FSX Only - $79.99 When I select the button "Checkout", the page appears with a box saying "Your cart is empty" and a small yellow box saying "continue shopping". I was just wondering if there is a site problem, or something wrong at my end? Thanks for any info.

Alright so I was on APP landed and I use the Go Flight Quadrant but the Reverser Thrust would not engage even pressing F2 they would not fully deploy

HiJust wanted say a big thank you for the MD11 for FS9. After waiting patiently for your new aircraft, I must say that it's an absolute draw dropper. It's amazing and incredibly fps friendly too. Have done two short flights, one as the tutorial and another from Schipol to Charles De Gaulle and she performed flawlessly.Well done to yourselves and all the Beta Testers Too. Also better say a bigh thanks to my wife too as she paid for it.Cheers Jason
