HiI've been wanting to simulate transporting a space shuttle from Edwards Air Force Base to the kennedy Space Center and was wondering if anyone is/will work(ing) on a NASA livery for the PMDG 747??I know that the models aren't exactly the same, but what are the odds of getting a new model with a shuttle plonked on top of it? I know many people would like it. After flying a complex version, going down to some of the freeware 747s just doesn't seem so much fun.Just some hopeful thoughts, can anyone point me into the right direction if this is just me wishing on a star?Thanks!

I find that my dome light in the 737 series does not work. It's either off or gauge backlight only, no dome light. Really hard to see what you're doing in night flights :(

hi gents,i am trying to assign keyboard button using keyboard setting into pmdg menu but somthing is wrong.for example i assigned keyboard letter M to the autothrottle arm/disarm switch on the MCP but whan i push this buttom nothing happen.any suggestiontks for reply best regardsLorenzo

Yes! I just bought the MD-11!!! But... I am already stuck at page one of the tutorial... :( I am trying to do the tutorial flight and right now I have to change the fuel load using the Load manager. But I can't move the slider at all. It is stuck at the top and both current and max are at zero.I already tried the FSX Path registry fix tool, I run the manager as admin, but no luck... :( This is what I call a very bad start... Another thing: I use the VC and TrackIR Pro: when I load the plane and press F12 to center my view, I see the following:Should I zoom out a little or something...? Seems a bit up close this way...? Hi folks,There seem to be two or three choices for an MCP hardwre unit. Opencockpit, GoFlight, VR Insights all seem to have one. Does anyone have experience with them to know which would work best with the PMDG 747? Ideally, the best choice would not require a PhD in interface programming to get it to work. And even more points if it works with other aircraft like the MD-11 or LevelD's 737.Thanks!Derek

I have been trying to get my PMDG 737-700 airborne for the last few days and had an engine failure at V1 on every occasion. I have searched this forum for an answer, followed a couple of related suggestions but to no avail. I have removed all failures in the PMDG menu and the FS(9) menu, and still continue to get failures. Am I missing something obvious, I never had this problem on a previous pc. I wonder if it's a problem or not to setup a flight the way I like it with the MD-11 in a certain state, and save it as the default flight. Or is it better (for the systems) to have another plane as default and load the MD-11 everytime? And another thing: if I do save a default flight with the MD-11 after using the load manager (setting it to full pax for instance) and loading specific panel state, I suppose that full pax will be default too, just like the panel state, and I don't have to run the load manager everytime and load the specific state everytime?I remember some planes from various companies having problems if you didn't load them the exact way you were told to,…

Hi guys. Does anyone know where to upload SID&STAR procedures for the PMDG products? What is the standard, where do most guys up-load SID/STARS??I thought I would up-load my latest to http://www.navdata.at/ , but when I try to select the PMDG products during the upload procedure, it only allows 767PIC. Hi!I know that the ACARS-system isn't operative in the 737, but am I able to logoff without realoading the whole aircraft? I can't find any button for it, and the FMC just keeps sending the "LOGOFF ACARS FIRST"-message. Thanks and merry christmas ;)

Well I flew the MD-11 from Darwin, Australia to Hong Kong, and flew the IGS 13 approach successfully. I have FlyTampa's addon scenery for Hong Kong and have entered the STARS data for Kai Tak into the various navdata files. What a awesome addon the MD-11 is. She would have flown all the way to touchdown, but I disconnected the autopilot at 700' over the middle marker per the procedure. A nice sharp right turn, level out and I was already on my landing roll.

After opening the front left cabin door via the MCDU menu, the message "Door Open" remains on the screen even after closing the door via the same interface. Hitting "Misc" on the SD states that the front left cabin door is still open. It is closed as far as the MCDU menu thinks, as well as an external view confirms that it's closed.Am I doing something wrong here?-stefan

Hi all in the forumI have fsx gold package and want to install it onto win.xp with service pack 3, all the information i can find says its a win vista platform. Does anyone know if this combination will work, as the supplier will not accept returns of software after the package seal has been broken. If it will work then I know I can buy the PMDG packages of 747 and MD11, hence why I posted here. (Did a search with no results)thanks in advance of any repliesJohn Calleja

hi when using the fmc in the 737 i have path selected but always seem to get a drag required message so i switched to using speed and havent had any problems, do most pilots use speed or path with the 737fmc. thanks, jim

After doing some succesfull tutorialflights, I want to try a complete new flight tomorrow. (Although I have to dig up a flightplan first somewhere.) However, some things that were typed into the MCDU in the tutorial, were simply given without explanation where to get the info yourself if you are flying somewhere else (which is logical: I'm not complaning :( ).In chronological order:1. The temp and wind of the first enroute fix: in the tutorial I had to enter -56/T022 but I am sure I'll be needing something else. Where can I obtain that info (if that's possible at all in FSX!)?2. Hi alli'm wondering if modifying Pmdg gauges is a leggal stuff or no?any way i've to modify the Bmp of my pmdg 737 i have succeeded to open almost all gauges with Fs panel studio except the "PMDG_737NG_Main.gau" may be it's protected or compressed i dont know exactly?????i've tried different kind of resources editor to extract the bmp and i get the same result!!!Thanks in advance

I bought the MD-11 just before christmas and I have had plenty of time to fool around with it. So far I didn't really have the need to save a flight in mid-air. But when the holiday is over I think I will have to do that more often. So I wasn't too happy when I found out yesterday my flights aren't saved that well... I had a flight saved just before taking off and one on finals. Loading the first one got me in the plane with the IRS knobs turned off and various things not setup right and loading the one on finals gave me all kinds of warning signals (AP off amongst others, flashing buttons and whatever... In other words: quite useless.It SHOULD be possible to simply save …

Somehow I managed to automatically set the fuel system to auto. I noticed I forgot to load the right amount of fuel, so I did it using the PMDG menu and then suddenly the fuel system was on manual. But... how can I get it back to AUTO? Pressing the button doesn't do it: that only activate SELECT... and pressing it again leaves manual in amber... There must be a way to get it back to AUTO, but the manual (by that I mean the pdf...) doesn't tell me how. It does say the switch is used to select manual and automodes, but it seems it only selects manual...?

Hi all,I don't think I was seeing things but a couple of weeks ago, it seems like I recall that the price for the MD-11 FSX version was $59.95 and the combo version was $79.95. Now the price for the FSX version is $79.95 and the combo version is $119.95. Why is it costing more now than it did a few weeks ago? I'm just courious if I missed read it or not.Thanks, Ken.
