Hello, I have not looked up in the manual or anything yet I figured it qould be smart to ask if anyone who already knew would be able to tell me. hey gang! cant wait for the release of the fs9 version of the glorious bigmac! but there is one question that bugs me still a little bit that one goes out for the devs and beta testers who are using it with FS9:has anyone of you guys tried the md-11 with fspassengers yet? i ask because since i own it i've never done a flight without and i really would like to use the md-11 with it i use the ol' queen with fspax aswell (pax and cargo versions) without problems by letting fspax loading up pax/cargo and adding the fuel afterwards using the PMDG fuel manager from the alt context menu so my question is basically:will this work with the MD-11 aswell? i will still buy her even i…

Hello again to everyone. I would ask you two main questions that I have regarding setting on the PMDG 747X. First of all the autothrottle behaviour during landing flare. The manual says that throttle should be retarded at idle at about 50ft above the ground but how? I mean...if I move the throttle levers back to idle thay did not respond unless I disconect the autothrottle and this gives me an EICAS message that I cannot make disappear unless I cancel it. Is it correct to disengage the autothrottle for normal landing operation or there is something wrong with my Saitek "pro flight yoke system"?Another question: I have assigned a button of my yoke to disconnect the autopil…

Waiting anxiously for the NGX (yes, I realize that the NGX is still a long time away from us).Could anyone from PMDG please state if the BBJ(2) will be part of the NGX package? By that I mean not only liveries, but also the increased MTOW and range for these aircraft. Would be great to make some longhauls with a BBJ...Regards,Frank

Is there anyway to make a fix with only a distance in the MD11's FMC that will give you a nice ring (depending in distance radius) on the ND? When I fly 747 I often use a fix with distance to give me the ring but in the MD11 it appears to only allow me to put in a radial which will only show me the straight line radial path.Thanks Jay V

To the whooping of the autopilot disconnect horn tried a manual approach to villafranca and was burnt badly.... a few questions....1. How do a switch that f******g horn off?2. How do I control speed on a manual approach?3. Whats the approach profile (how do they do it in real life)4. Why does FSX make such a hash of vectors to visual when approaching over high ground? (5 miles to go, still at 7,000 ft QFE)

Hello:Very nice work on the MD-11. Perhaps the next project you should consider is the 717 as it and the MD-11 use a common avionics system, also, while we're on the subject of Tri-Jets, I believe an L-1011 Tristar would be a very welcome addition to the community. Hope I've peaked your interest.

I have read in the FCOM and observed that in overhead section there is a Crew alerts system. However when I follow the instructions in the manual I don't hear any announcements or communications at all. Any specific steps to make this work or the announcements are not heard in the flight deck ?? Thanks Carlos :-hmmm

Captains-Our server maintenance is now complete, but we are waiting on a couple of last minute details related to our credit card processor. Apparently the API that is used to link our system to theirs is not compatible with the 64 bit operating system that we are now using, so they are trouble shooting a fix for us during the night this evening.(Yes- these are the same half-wits that had their system down for 3 days last month...)We've given them a deadline of noon tomorrow to have things operating normally.I'll keep you posted- and your patience is appreciated.This outage only affects those who wish to make a purchase, or those needing to re-download an already purchas…

I am attempting to fly an Icelandic route from KBOS-BIKF. I am using the AIRAC 0812 data, and an actual flightplan I got from FlightAware for December 9. The plan is: KBOS-PSM-ENE-J55-PQI-J564-TAFFY-N153C-STEAM-OYSTR-(5600N-0500W)-(6000N-0400W)-(6300N-0300W)-EMBLA-BIKF. All of the waypoints were accepted by the MD-11, and looked proper when reviewed in plan mode. The time and fuel consumption look about right. However, in flight somewhere around PQI-TAFFY, the magenta track disappears even though all the waypoints are still in the computer flightplan. The waypoint STEAM still appears at the top of the map display. The aircraft does not seem to know where it is and …

A friend has moved on to FSX has has totally uninstall FS9. He has given me his copy of the PMDG 737NG 800-900. This is the CD version of the software that at one time he had installed on his computer. It is no longer install or operable on his computer. With the CD, can I legally install the software on my computer?ThanksTom

Any chance you fellows will get the dimmer to work. It gets pretty dark in the 2d cockpit.Thomas

Hello,I have been flying this aircraft ever since the day it was released and only recently have had this issue. I even did a system restore back to the day after I installed the MD-11 and it did not cure the problem.Everything works great up until I try to enter the "from/to" in the MCDU. Once I enter the airport combination FSX freezes and crashes to desktop. All other functions in the MCDU are working porperly. My OS is XP professional, FSX sp1 and sp2 (no acceleration).Any ideas?Thanks,Eric

I want to build up some flightplans for MD-11.What is the best way to do this.Is one able to transfer FS plans to the MD-11,or can I save the flight plan I enter into the MCDU? Thank youAlan

I've recently changed upgraded to the 737 800/900.When sitting in the VC in the 800 (VC only) the viewpoint seems at about the right height. However when I switch to the 733-900 (VC & Cabin). The viewpoint seems far too low.How can I change the deafult VC viewpoint/eyepoint for this model? I've had a look on the 737-900 aircraft.cfg file and I've found the entry "eyepoint" but I'm not sure wether this is for the VC & Cabin model or just the VC model?

After owning the 600/700 version for sometime I today purchased the 800/900 upgrade.My question is - when I install the 800/900 version should the VC improve in the 600/700 version. E.g. should the overhead switches become selectable or not?

Yesterday was the annual Flyin to Santa (Rovaniemi) and what better than go see Santa with MD11 in FS9 :)The flight was online at VATSIM with FSINN (using Project AI planes as Multiplayer), AES, and using AS6.5 for the weather.
