After all these years, waiting in anticipation the day finally arrived! I have just completed my first flight from ENGM to EKCH in the MD11 for FS9 and everything worked flawlessly, well apart from the nose gear doors :( As i mentioned in the topic i want to express my humble thank you to the whole PMDG crew for this outstanding product! After reading on the forums there have been very little problems so far so everyone from developers to testers have definitely done their job in creating a new benchmark for FS addons.Keep up the great work! :( RgdsKevin

Hi,Is it correct that I have to pay $120 for the FS9 version of the MD11, wheras the FSX version is only $80?Yes.... I know it is a combi, but I don't have and won't ever install FSX so effectively I would pay $120 for the FS9 version.Is there no FS9-only version available, like the FSX-only version? I don't feel like the brightest bulb now, but when the FSX version was released I bought the FS9/FSX combo. I now entered my account to download the FS9 version and I see a product labeled "PMDG MD-11 for FSX and FS9" and a download link. However, that download link (also in the mail I just received) points to the file PMDG_MD11_FSX.zip which is the exact same file name and file size like that one containing only the FSX version. So my question is where is the FS9-file? I downloaded the file again, thinking that just maybe I get the option now to install for FSX or FS9 but alas it was still just FSX.So can somebody guide me through the clouds that I am in right now. Captains!As promised, we are in the process of distributing download links via email for those of you who purchased the FSX/FS9 combo version prior to now. This is our way of saying thank you, you get the FS9 airplane ahead of everyone else! Hi all hope 2009 is going well for you all.Unfortunately it's not too good for me as my computer decided it has had enough and is now gathering dust in the corner.With the expected release of the MD-11 for FS9 could someone on the PMDG team please explain how the download links will be worked.Will there be a time limit placed on them and will I be able to reactivate mine at a later date?I'm currently in the process of ordering a new system but it wont be built and delivered for 2-3 weeks at best.Thank you for any reply to this and continued success for the future.Regards.Tom Cunningham.

Captains-I thought I'd let you know that we are currently uploading a final test build for the PMDG MD-11 for FS9 so that our MD-11 Technical Advisory Team can take the airplane for a spin to see if we have nailed down the last few items that were on our plate for resolution.If all goes well, we MIGHT have a release late in the day (zulu) on Monday!If we discover any items that do not pass muster- we'll likely push the release back 24hrs to tie those loose ends up. I've just started flying the 737 NG again after over a year of doing other things. I'm having trouble with inputing numeric information on the FMC. The "456" row keys seem to repeat themselves on the "789" key row. In other words, if I press the 7, I get a 4; the 8 produces a 5 and the 9 produces a 6. The ".0+/-" row keys generate 7, 8 and 9, respectively. None of the keys produce a ".", 0, or "+/-". I can enter the missing numbers and other information using the keyboard function but I'd rather use the FMC as it was designed. I don't have any trouble with the FMC in the 747.Any ideas?Jim Driskell

Can anyone help me with this strange phenomia?If I change the values in the PMDG 737kbd.ini files & then start the aircraft, those values do not appear as in the file? and then I see that the file has been overwritten. And how is it that the values in the 737kbd.ini file get altered by the PMDG 747 aircraft, yet it's in a completely different folder? This is a nightmare, can anyone shed some light on this, is anyone else experiencing the same problem?Howard

I have installed both aircraft correctly I believe and certainly without error. (each prompted to install C++ which I did)Starting the MD11 I responded to 3 prompts and then after a few seconds I received a 'Fatal error - FSX restarting'. I have rebooted, but still the same.Starting the 747 I get 3 prompts (similar to above), but each responds with "****.dll cannot find PMDGOptions.dll", if I click OK to each of those then again after a few seconds I get "Fatal error - FSX restarting."I am running a 'hi-end' PC with Vista 64bit, which has run all on FSX fine until now.Can anyone advise what might be the problem?Thanks and Happy New YearNigel

Captains-Just a quick note to give you some updated information on our release expectations for the PMDG MD-11 for FS9...As you all are well aware by now, PMDG does not publish release dates because our experience has been that they are virtually meaningless when it comes to proper software development practices.On 12DEC08 I published an update in which I told you that we were hoping to release before Christmas, but would certainly release before the end of 2008... I probably should have deleted that sentence, in retrospect.We have been struggling to find solutions for some problems that have created havoc with our attempts to get the MD-11 model properly imported to FS9…

When I load Type Certificate Lesson 1 for the 744x the aircraft appears on the Boeing ramp at right angles to the other parked aircraft. I am also using MyTrafficX. The AI aircraft are parked with their noses facing the runway whereas the PMDG 744 is sitting in among them parallel to the runway. Looks a bit untidy, especially when another aircraft comes and parks itself through my nose!Am I correctly oriented on the ramp? What is the number of the parking bay I should be in if I want to enter my location to see if that changes things?Cheers,Duncan Woodhouse

Hello allFlying in VATSIM cannot have available the 2 radios stack on the 737-700 ? as we need to get one radio active with atc and the other number 2 for atis for example . Dear PMDG Team i am very anxious about the upcoming release but my question is about the paintkit.Will the Paintkit for the FS9 version be identical with the FSX version? If i start to paint some stuff to the FSX paintkit will i be able to use them to FS9 version when it is released? May I ask a quick question about the navdata provided with the FS9 MD-11? Will it be current AIRAC cycle (0813) or not? Also, say you already have current AIRAC data installed for PMDG...if it's not current data provided will it be ok to reinstall PMDG 0813 AIRAC from Navigraph or will this mess something up with regards to the MD-11?Thanks,Tim

I have a problem with the autopilot in PMDG 747-400X. From time to time it becomes mad (during a flight from Cairo to Doha it happened twice). Without any reason it starts turning right and left at very high bank angle. It happens in different flight phases - 10 minutes after takeoff, at cruise, shortly before T/D.
