I've been entering 180KIAS for GS intrcpt pt on ILS apprch in the FMS...will the aircraft slow to Vapp/Vref automatically with flaps 35 deg in APPR/LAND config? The last several ILS AUTOLANDs I've made the aircraft wants to maintain 180KIAS pretty much to flare (while FMS was indicating 160 Vapp and 156Vref)...is this normal? Or, do I need to enter Vref manually on the speed bug and press?ThanksCol (ret) Rich Perry, USAF

HiJust installed the MD-11, After loading the MD-11 and even with engines running I have a blank screen, i.e. no ND or PFD or sys display, regardless as to what panel state I select I just have a blank panel state,I can hear the engines runing but that's it.RegardsWilliam

I just made my first MD11 flight in FS9, I must say, nice work PMDG, but there are some issues.1. Outflow valve is closing on the ground2. FMS is way too quick, real FMS is very slow :( 3. When confirming V2-speed during preparation, amber AP-OFF box should become white. Now it becomes white after engine start. 4. HYD PUMP L FAIL during engine start.5. During flight I experienced a level 2 HYD 1 PRESSURE LOW (with HYD in AUTO!!, should only come on with HYD in Manual), without programming a failure. I like random failures, but this time I didn't choose one.Best regards.Floris

I have no idea what the problem is, and I've never seen this before, but I get an error when I try to open up the load manager (MD11 only, oddly enough) saying "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail." It also has a line pointing to my main FS9\PMDG\MD11_LoadManager.exe. :(

Hi,Just did another flight and I would like to mention some bugs1. Engine start: When pulling the engine start switch, EGT shows immediately around 400 degrees for the respective engine. This is unrealistic. EGT rise should take place after selecting fuel on. 1A: Start Air press low appears every time for a few seconds when selecting ignition. Unrealistic behaviour. This can happen at high elevation airports or during cross-bleed engine start for example. 2. When entering lat/lon-positions in the FMS, is says format error. This format: N4200/W02000 should do the job. FMS only accepts N4200.0/W02000.03. After take off, NAV armed is changing to NAV1 or NAV2. NAV1 was active…

Hello all Sometimes to taxi when we fly IVAO or Vatsim it is nice to get the external view to better see other traffic and taxiways . But the problem is the sound of the ext view is so high in relation to the setting sound we have in the cockpit . I know how we can reduce the volumes in the sound .wav folders but do you know which one correspond to this external view in the sound list of MD 11 ?which of the xPMDGMD11_JET xx.wav is which number as folders goes from JET 01 TO JET 73 ? For me it's just impossible to use the combination PMDG MD11 and ASA (in FS9) because of the EXTREMELY changing speeds it results in the MD11. It goes from say 300 knots to 200 knots in 1-2 seconds and then fluctuates up and down casuing the airplane to stall and dive. I don't see this behaviour with any other aircraft in my hangar and neither with AS 6.5 and PMDG MD11. I'm sure it's down to some setting in ASA but could some kind soul who experienced the same problem and sorted it out, please guide me in the right direction. For some reason I'm having trouble understanding how to set up ASA correctly despite reading the manual.

Good morning! Well I have to say that recently every time I've flown any plane from PMDG in my FS9 has been a terrible flight. My problem is:When flying online (IVAO) and not with any PMDG aircraft, I experience some erroneous information on my ND display. The display shows a high deviation of the real heading, I mean, for example, when my ND shows heading 350, then MSFS shows heading 340, generally 10 degrees of deviation from what the plane says, and my online controller tells me that I'm heading 270. That is a deviation of almost 80 degrees!! Then I click to the MSFS map and it shows the real heading, 270. I must say that this happens gradually as long as the flight pa…

Hey Guys,OK, so I updaded my PC memory. Since doing this I cannot get the 747-400X to load :(When loading the aircraft I get the following error. I have tried re-installing but no luck. It doesn't give me any option to trust it. It was working fine until I swapped my memory. I check the registry setting mentioned on PMDG Ops, but it was set fine.Any help appreciated!RegardsMarc Fuller

hello allEven having read the manual I don't see how we can have showed the V1 - VR and V2 speeds on the FMC ? Do they calculate automatically having entered all the elements weights runways temperatures etc ... or do we have to fill in manually ? or do we have maybe to push some LSK buttons ? on the fmc ? much obliged for advises . regardsPatrick

For two weeks I've tried to fathom out why I can't take off without the throttle staying at adequate climb power. But I haven't been able to find the solution.I engage Autoflight above 400 ft at which time the EPR is way above 1.1. At 1,500 ft I engage the PROF button. Then soon afterwards, before gaining any considerable height, the EPR drops to ablout 0.9 and we lose height.Sometimes I only engage Autoflight when we're pretty high and then, after engaging Autoflight and the PROF button, we carry on as normal with no power loss.Could it have something to do with the low temperatures? Hi guys,Im using the NG package updated to the 800/900. I have the CP flight MCP/EFIS. I recieved an email from cp flight support containing varios firmware and driver updates (old ones that work with PMDG) I have assigned the keystrokes as per their instruction to in the drop down menu in the 737, I copied the KBD.ini to the cptools folder. The EFIS is working but the MCP is not happening. Im getting matching displays,HGD etc. When I drop down the keyboard assignments in the PMDG, the MCP commands are showing as blank! Somebody posted a screenshot and I noticed that on the EAD it had the EPR limit and in white it said [60k G/A THR LIMIT]. I'm assuming that the FMC calculates a different G/A limit based on the aircraft weight so that if the aircraft is very light it doesn't go into orbit?But I can't get that to come up on my display? Hi,I can't see PMDG option windows after selecting them from the menu bar when running FS9 full screen under Vista x64, the screen is blank. If I alt-enter to windowed mode I can see and interact with them. I can see all other MS option windows in full screen mode with problems.System is a Pentium D with 2 GB RAM, Vista x64, Nvidia GF7800

Is there any chance we can get a GE variant of the FedEx Md11? They apparently have a mixed fleet, and it would be nice to get the GE bird. So far I have spent more time on the ground with the 11 than in the air.The flights I have done are as follows:1.LIMC-LIRF (I was in the virtual cockpit but my brain was in seat 25C)2.LIRF-LMML (brain kinda getting used to the Mcd way of doing stuff)3.LIMC-FACT (with a stop in FYWH because I didnt manage my fuel all that well)4.EHAM-TNCC (reading Fate is the Hunter and havnt heard any bells or whistles as of yet)I am in awe of how ergodynamic the cockpit is, not the md-11 design but how PMDG put together that clever system so thatits so intuitive. please share your trips aswell. Hello everyone I like most people here am a definite fan of PMDG products and the MD-11 for FS9 is such a beautiful bird, I love it, I flew the tutorial several times, after that I decided that it was time to actually start learning this bird and of course I had a little trouble following the normal procedures, here are a few examples:In the Flight Crew Operating Manual on page NP.20.14, it states at the top of the page "Evacuation Control Panel, Set EVACUATION SIGNAL switch on evacuation control panel to ARM"; for the life of me I just could not locate the evacuation control manual, as I skimmed through some of the other tech data, I noticed in the MD-11 Systems…

First--superb aircraft!One "issue" I've had is sloppy pitch/airspeed control during T/O phase once airborne. The tutorial mentions rotating at 2.5 degrees/sec and follow the pitch bar (tracking FR) then at 400' AGL, press AUTO FLIGHT, followed by PROF at 1500' AGL. It's during the transition from T/O THRUST to PROF that I get a fairly dramatic pitch down that "feels" more like a fighter on climbout than a 500K LB plus aircraft.I've read several other posts referencing the same. I am having trouble installing the MD-11 for FS9. It say I need version 9.1 of FS9. I tried to download and install the update for 9.1 but it dosn't work. Installer still says I have version 9.0. I try to re-do the 9.1 update but it says its already installed. Anyone have any ideas?Thanks,Craig
