PMDG team,I HATE the MD11... as much as I hate the 737NG and the 747-400. This thing is about to ruin my life!You should be aware that we flightsimmers only have so much time on our hands. Do you have any idea how hard is to choose between this and these other great planes you produced? I hope in the future you will take this into considiration.Thanks guys for another great one.... :( Tonny Koops

It seems everytime I get a quartering headwind over 70kts or so, the plane starts this 's' turning stuff, bank to the left then bank to the right and it continues until either the wind shifts off the forward quadrents or gets below 65-70tks. Kinda aggravating since it only happens at the flight levels where the jet stream hits the plane, and the passengers are getting sick!I never had this problem before the update, anyone else see this or have a 'fix'?

Prior to take off I have a blinking yellow warning reading "AIR" on the FMCU on the bottom right. (As shown in the attachment.)How do I deal with it please?Cliff

Dear PMDG,I have some questions about VCL spd. I always fly at max ZFW and i can't find where i can tell the FMS to keep the 250/10000 restriction. or any other restriction(240/10000). the only way is the SPD AT WPT. For example although i see the 250/10000 restriction the FMS has a managed spd of 265. Is this some kind of protection due to the max ZFW. In descend i don't have this problem i see the 250/10000 on the route and it does decelate to that spd (although -5kt, e.x. 245). Thanks in advance,Nicholas Maggioros

Hi,I have downloaded the update for the MD-11 and I am glad to see that the autobrake problem with Saitek Rudder pedals is finally solved.At least now, FSUIPC is not needed anymore.But what about the 744X. Is it planned to update it in the same way as the MD-11?Because now I need two configs for FSUIPC1- without axis processing for brakes (to fly the MD-11)2- with axis assignement for brakes (to fly the 744X)Finally let me conclude in congratulating you for building the most fantastic add-on for FSX (&FS9)RegardsYves Lefevre

I don't know if this is related, but after updating the MD11 for FSX the CRT displays in the 747 go out after about a minute of selecting the aircraft. Swithching from the MD11 to the 747 or starting the 747 right after a fresh start of FSX makes no difference. They still go dark after a minute. Have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 747 which would be the only solution I can think of if the panel guage files are corrupt. Thanks John

HiA couple of problems I ran into trying to get started.1. When I try to input numbers into the FMC with a decimal place, they get rounded up or down. I'm not using the keyboard input facility.Example:109.5 on the scratchpad -> hit LSK -> ends up as 109.00 on the NAV RAD pageZFW typed on scratchpad 178.1 -> ends up as 178.0CG 15.6 -> ends up as 15.02. Flying the tutorial flight. Starting from the Load Manager and making sure the ZFW and ZFW CG and fuel numbers match the tutorial and save the information. Set up the plane and takeoff as per tutorial instructions.The plane does seem a little bit unstable and out of trim on climbout.Once I hit Autoflight around 1…

I tried assigning a key combination to disengage the Autothrottle on the MD11, but after several attempts it didn't seem to have any effect. I've tried several key combinations and none worked. P.S. The A/P disengage works the way I'd expect it to work and I had no issues with that. Rgds,Ivan Kovacevic

Hey there thanks for the update. I did notice one thing after the update was installed. When im on the ground with the parking brake set and all 3 engines at idle it seams as if the a/c is trying to creap forward. I notice this when i started up at the gate before going to a cold and dark cockpit. It looked like the termingal was "rocking" if you will towards the plane. Perhaps this is just a fluke as iv only flown the md 1 time after the patch. Has anyone eles noticed this? and does pmdg have any suggestions?Thanks JR

PMDG!! you did it!!! The md-11 is one of the best addon ever!! The only thing that is missing to make it perfect is the ability to share the cockpit!!! I cant understand why you dont put that ability on you product. Leonardo has done it for the maddog and it works great now!! But anyway Thx for this great product!!Fredrik Fagernes

Hi there,I cannot seem to find a way to map the autobrakes to a key command in the MD11 (both versions), under the PMDG keyboard options.Is there meant to be one, or can I just not see it for looking?If not, is there another way with FSUIPC that I can map a key command to set RTO mode for example?ThanksJonathan Fenech

I probably already know this, but I wanted to double check. I have spoilers deploy ( / in MSFS) assigned to a button on my yoke because I have a couple aircraft I like to manually deploy spoilers with.If I wanted to assign that button (yoke) to AP Disconnect in the MD-11 would I have to remove the assignment in MSFS, or would the MD-11 override that setting (spoiler deploy)? I'm thinking they'll conflict, but I'm curious.

Before I purchase the MD11 for FS9 I just wanted to ask about the performance I might expect.Bear in mind that I run PMDGs 744 and 737 in 2D model mode as I lose a few fps in VC mode. I get about 15fps on ground at busy airports but up to 30fps when airborne using AS, GEPro, UT, 80% traffic (reducing to 50% doesn't make much difference) and Scenery + Autogen at max.My PC spec is Gigabyte K8 Triton mobo with 2GB PC3200 DDR RAM and Athlon64 3000+ CPU, Geforce 7900GS AGP with 256MB RAM.I do intend to upgrade my system in the next year or so but am reasonably happy with what I get now.Now as the MD11 comes only in one mode, including the VC I just wondered whether I would get…

Flying into Cancun, I noticed that the FIX page displays the COURSE to the VOR instead of the radial. For Downscc... I think you do the navdata. The FMC stored frequency for CUN is 113.6. No joy on that frequency. I found it on 113.4 however. Questions When PROF and NAV are armed on the ground, how does one disarm them? I tried pressing the buttons, and turning both FD's off, but no luck. Is it possible to transmit on VHF3 on vatsim? When the GPS option is enabled, I notice that after a while, the map will be available, even though the IRS is still aligning. Is that normal? This last one is a half-bug. Hi!If I look at the throttle levers in the VC with autoflight engaged I can see them constantly jumping around when I'm flying a constant IAS in smooth weather conditions (no winds whatsoever, no turbulence either).N1/N2 doesn't fluctuate (the engines can't spool up/down quite as fast luckily). Its not joystick noise either as my thrust lever is set to idle with a rather large null zone and I can control the thrust levers quite smoothly with the autothrottle deactivated.Maybe you could tweak the parameters of the (PID?) controller a little better to make it less twitchy. Its quite annoying and very unrealistic (the real A/T is a very smooth system, sometimes too smooth!)C…

I just downloaded the update and when I run the exe the installshield thing starts up but then a popup comes up saying "The setup has detected that no previous version of PMDG_MD11_FSX is installed." The only option is OK and it stops the exe.I most definitely have it installed and working in FSX... Will I have to reinstall the plane first or what?Thanks for the help,William Mayr

Congratulations, MD11 expecting for years, is fantastic and thank you for having done so for fs9! I wanted to know why ilwx radar is down, and if it is possible to have the light of the panel a little more yellow as in reality, when it is turned off is very clear, it should be darker. The load manager in the future you can not add a button to print the data? Thanks, Moreno :(
