After a 9 hour flight I keep getting a PMDG MD11.gau crash. I am paused at top of descent and whenever I go to lower my altitude I get this crash to desktop. I tried it 3 times and all with the same problem. I rebooted my computer after each crash. I had no other problems along the entire flight everything went smoothly untill now.Thanks

Hi,I have followed the tutorial, entered all relevant data but the V-speeds are missing! I thought I have done everything to the line but probably I miss something. Which data must be entered in order to get them show off?Thanks

Hi,I have read many posts on the autobrakes issues over here, just my two cents:for me normally they work, I have brakes assigned via FSUIPC using SAITEK pedals. What i noticed is that they won't work if your approach speed is only slightly higher than the one as per FMC. Yesterday, for example, I have simulated a landing in higher speed conditions simulating an emergency; the touchdown was normal I got spoilers deployed but no autobrakes. The same applies to RTO. If you are above 80 knots but not over 100 they will work otherwise nothing. Ryan talked about the good feedback of the new Windows 7 OS in the video card thread. Sounds like maybe we have the solution to the great blunder called Vista. It is supposed to be much less resource intensive than Vista. I know it is much too soon to say if we can say good by to OOEM and application crashes but one can only hope. Would like to hear if anyone decides to give it a try with FSX and PMDG aircraft. I may be willing to give it a shot on my gaming drive. John

My pmdg md11 always sets speed limit 320KIAS (CRZ). The real aircraft speed is more higer. I've tested many configurations (CI, FL, WEIGHT, etc...) but i don't get speed limit increment (360k or .825 mach). Anybody have any solution? Note: Youtube tutorials show 320 limit too.Thanks

I can't use my MD-11, what can I do? I bought this copy from Best But in 2004, so it is a legal copy I installed the 9.1 upgrade and the latest MS patch for XP, so now what. But a newer version of FS9? totally nuke the HD and totally start over? Nothing is working here.Michael P.

Hi,I ran into problem entering speeds into FMC. I have extensively used FSB and ASV6.5 for years and never had problems with Boeing's FMC where average wind is entered as XXX/XX. MD11 is different story - its FMC asks for either HWind or Twind. Neither FSB nor ASV6.5 provides such format, so I would appreciate your help on converting XXX/XX into head/tail wind numbers. Perhaps there is some sort of mathemactical approach for that. Thank you for your help

Couple questions:Is there a way to manually enter winds other than descent forecast page in MCDU? (i.e., can you enter cruise winds?)If there is a power interruption in the jet on the ground--like failure to start APU/APU bleed air before you commence pushback (external power will automatically disconnect and you lose generator power), will that affect settings in the MCDU/FMC? I've done this twice (brain fart) and each time I get some erratic winds, etc.If power drops off line on the ground, is the procedure to realign IRUs and reenter FMC-1 data?ThanksRich Perry

I just bought PMDG MD 11 for FSX. But I after I installed that, I found I cannot change my graphics resoultions and anti-alias options any more. The graphics settings in FSX have been reset to lowest 1024*768 and no anti-alias. No matter how I change it, it will bounce back after I open the settings dialog again.Any ideas?ThanksXiang

I am considering getting a 22"-24" monitor. This may be a bug missed during testing:On the ground I like to increase my sim rate (sometimes to 128x) to hurry up the IRS alignment time. I know this can be changed in the PMDG menu but I like doing it this way sometimes. When reducing the rate to 1x after a few seconds I get several warnings:"AVNCS FAN OVRD""CABIN PRES RELIED""CABIN RATE""OPEN OUTFLO VALVE"For some reason, during the increased sim rate the aircraft has sensed a dramatic climb and the cabin alt sores to 50,000 very quickly then starts back at -9,000. Due to a fire and subsequent heavy water damage, I'm forced to get a new desktop computer and setup.Two unresolved issues:1. Windows XP 64-bit or Vista 64-bit?2. Stay with FS9 or move to FSX? - I have both software programs.Proposed new system: Intel Core 2 Extreme 3.0GHz processor, 6GB memory, 320GB HD, 512mb Nvidia 9800GT graphics, Creative Xtreme Sound.I previously used FS9 and PMDG aircraft. Dear PMDG and fellows,Maybe I missed a point out, but does the MD11 fms take into account runway condition(dry or wet) for take off speed calculation ?I cannot see any entries on the MCDU regarding this parameter.Where to find correct V1 if the runway is wet ?Do I need extra paper sheet with take off performance data to do that ? Hi allI have made the first flight this morning with the MD11F, right after purchase, from EGLL to LIRF. Downloaded and installed Alitalia liveries (cargo and pax) and everything went fine.Then I made another flight with the passenger version, Air New Zealand Livery, and it went all fine again.Finally I loaded the cargo again, but the message "initializing" didn't appear on the top of the screen, and all the displays remained black. No system was working. Tried to load a saved panel state, but nothing. I say again, no initialization message and countdown, even changing between models. Would like to fly to various bases in Antartica, such as NZIR, NZWD and NISD (Ice Station Delta).Unfortunately the AIRAC database doesn't have. Would appreciate any guidance on how to add them to the PMDG airports database.Thanks & regards

After furthur testing it seems that the emergency lights illuminate the cabin of the MD11 exactly as the dome lights did before the update. My last flight was of a night and using the emergency lights the cabin lighting was fantastic. Panels looked clear with no miky appearance.Is it possible they have been accidentally swapped? Is there any way I could swap the operation of the dome and emergency lights around as you can't assign a keyboard command to the emergency lights.Andrew Dixon
