Whenever I start the freighter I cant get the panel to start up. The Passenger models work fine. Picking a panel state has no effect. Has anyone had this issue?

PMDG MD11 - Is it possible to remove the 2D panels and the actual exterior model of the aircraft leaving only the VC? I want to squeeze every bit of performance out of my rig, and I never go outside the VC. Just curious.

Hi,I am having an issue with the LCD Screens, they are always black. I have tried everything, and i have tried all the pre-saved aircraft configurations. Nothing works, the screens are always black.Any ideas? I had this issue before, i fixed it, but i can't remember how, and then i installed the update for it and the same thing happened again.Thanks.-Chad

Dear all,After using the B744X for a long time now, I found some odd figures in the B744 AOM by PMDG. I refer to section 2-8 Cruise and Fuel Planning revision 26JUL06Table for Flight time and Fuel burn in metric units.Fuel burn @FL350 for 4000 NAM = 99.4 (seems to be 77.9 according Standard units table)Fuel burn @FL310 for 6400 NAM = 177.0 (out of the range in standard units table 390.2. might be 290.2?)Fuel burn @FL310 for 3200 NAM = 80.0 (also out of range in standard units table 176.4.)I check the standard units table and the same irregularities appear. Has anyone else noticed that setting the HYD SYS 3 to leak (failures menu) doesn't do anything?EDIT : That is after leaking SYS 1 and 2, is it because of the NRMPs?

hallo to allin some conditions thrust levers of 737 are locked to maximum thrust and i may not unlocked from this position; i disconnect A/T, A/P and FD, but they not unlock.I think that is a software problem, it happan in flight online and offline.Have yuo any solution?Thanks to allStefano

I've always wondered why PMDG seem to be very consevative when it comes to offering available key assignments, does anyone know if there is a specific reason for this? LVLD 767 seems to be top of the list out of all the addons I have seen for assignment options and is perfect for us home flightdeck builders.My current option around this is to undock sub panels to three other monitors and keep the main screen for the VC but this is not ideal as I would rather use the other screens purely for PFD ND EICAS + FMC Anyway not a complaint just an observation, if they are capable of creating such a complex virtual machine what's the issue with creating a comprehensive selectio…

I posted a topic yesterday that was somehow taken off ther forum. I would appreciate a response please. In your Product details on the MD-11 page it says the following: "Wing Views - Enjoy your flight from different locations in and around the aircraft, including multiple views of the wings. " When I check the Panel View Options they are not there. I have a 2D and Virtual Cockpit but no Wing Views. Please letr me know how to obtain the views - as indicated on the page?Thank You

Hi AllFirstly, appologies if this thread has been discussed before, but I've done a search and can't find anything about this problem.I've noticed that when flying for a while, the CRT screens stop responding (freeze up), and the aircraft starts to drift of course and loose or gain altitude. If I click on the CRT displays to get the enlarged screens, they are working! but the normal ones are not, and after a while (time varies, usually 3 to 10 minutes) the normal CRT's return to normal and are all working, only to happen again after around an hour or so.I have tried uninstalling both the MD11 and B744, installing again, installing just the B744 without the MD11 as I've s…

Hey;Is there a fuel calculator out there that I can use with the MD11?I do not have FSBUILD or any such program to build flightplans, as I received some FPs from a buddy who has the 747.Id like to be able to know how much fuel I would need for the flights based on there distance etc.Thanks

I did a search but couldn't find anything on this question.Sometimes when I either go to a saved situation using the MD11, or change a/c from a default one to the MD11, I don't get the moving bar display that shows fixes and airports loading, then when the a/c finally loads the gauges are dark and the yoke is in a full right position. The engines can be heard starting up, but the a/c is unflyable, and when going to Add-ons/PMDG all I see is "About PMDG". This doesn't happen often, it usually starts OK, but seems to be increasing in frequency. I can;t tie it to any other event. I have a GoFlight module and TrackIR, plus a CH Yoke. I just installed the new update for the MD11 and have noticed the dome light does not work in VC but works in 2D cockpit. The lighting effect is not very good compared to before the update??Andrew

On my last flight I noticed that when N1 transitions from 96.9 to 97.0, the gauge will momentarily display 96.0 and then jump to 97.0. Probably just a small integer rounding error.Cheers Mark

Hi,I was just wondering if I can use the PMDG MD11 touchdown sounds and the Parking brake sound for the NG? As far as I am concerned, the MD11 sound package is the best made for any add-on, period! I never expected sound to "enhance" the simulation to such a large extent, but the MD11 has changed my perspective on this. Therefore, would love to have these 2 sounds to enhance the NG experience as well. And if so, how do I do that?Also, I know its highly premature, but I recall seeing a small screenie of the IRS panel for the new NG ages ago. I have good PC and close to two years I was experiencing OOM , black screen and many graphic problems ,specially when I switch Ctrl+Alt+Enter window mode /none window mode. Hello allI bought the PMDG 747 when it first came out, I now have a new PC and wish to re-install but I cannot remember whether I purchased it from PMDG or simmarket, there is no trace of it on simmarket so I assume I got it direct from PMDG.I sent an email to PMDG last week about getting a new validation code or what ever it is we need but I have heard nothing yet.I've done a forum search but found very little.Any ideas?RgdsDean May

A quick question for everyone... We all know the friction model in FS9/FSX is rubbish, two way's I used to get around this on the 744 was the use of the modified sim.dll and a payware system called TSR Autobrake running on a networked PC.TSR reads the simulators weather and detects levels of rain, snow, slush and Anti skid failures.
