Hello there, you may think this a daft question but here goes....I usually find the transition altitudes from charts online but... I can't find the TA for Hawaii or Alaska.Is it the same as US (18000) or do they have specific ones?Can't find it on any online charting so would be grateful for an answer from any good people on here.I know it's hardly PMDG but hey, all good forums help out a fellow flyer :( John Ellison

This is certainly no time for starting a business. But, but, but..........as the PMDG reputation is formidable, securing finance may not be an insurmountable problem if you decided to spread your wings (no pun intended) and, with the demise of the Aces, take over the development of Flight Simulator.It may be feasable that such a move could be based on an Association or share holdings with other Developers; your team have proven skills and dedication; X-Plane is not in the same league as FSX and consequently not a serious threat.A Simulator that could result from the way have the habit of raising the bar could be literally awesome. You wouldn't have to do it all yourselves…

As you can see LNAV wont follow the route correctly. I need help Please! Also for some reason all of my runways all not aliened as you can see Rwy 34L is right in front of me but it shows that's is far to the right?

I used to have a link to a great site that display the North Atlantic Tracks in maps and on charts as well as weather info. All I can find is the text source ( https://www.notams.jcs.mil/common/nat.html ). Sure would like to find that url if anyone might have it in their favorites list. Thanks.

Very frustrating:as I was approaching TPBP, I typed BGI/350/15 into the scratchpad. I then pressed the DIR INTC button and LSK'ed the entry into L1. The MCDU asked which BGI I meant, I selected the top one and immediately afterwards FS2004 crashed :( Mark

Hope someone could point me iin the right direction to sort out my problem here. My hard drive gave up the ghost, so have installed new one, but as everything was lost i am now having to load all addons and such.I purchased PMDG 744 as a direct download so need to re-download from PMDG and as it states in my account the url has expired, so i purchased the extended download option sending off an e-mail to PMDG support to explain what had happened. I received the automated reply telling me it could take up to 48 hours before i would be e-mailed a new url. Hi folks,I flew the trip EDDC - EHAM - EGLL. After landing in EHAM, I shut down the engines, entered my new FPLN to EGLL, entered takeoff data as usual and then started the engines. Up to this point everything seemed normal. While taxiing, with idle power set, I pressed the Autoflight button and suddenly my engines spooled up to takeoff power! Then I quickly disengaged the ATHR and AP (with the soft disconnect switches) and re-engaged them, this time working correctly. The FMA indications were correct and I armed NAV and PROF. Takeoff was eventless but as soon as I was airborne, the engines spooled back to CLB THR (that was also displayed as the thrust limit on the engine…

I would like it a lot if everyone who opens a new topic here, puts the name of the plane they are talking about in the topic title. I only own the MD-11 and love to read about it and help whenever I can, but quite often I read a topic and nowhere there is a mention of which plane people are talking about. Usually it becomes clear after reading some well know and very specific abbreviations, and by that time I know I can stop reading... but that's not always the case. I installed the MD11 on FSX when it came out. I subsequently downloaded the patch that was supposed to "fix" certain things. Now the very same patch has rendered the dome light and the overall lighting in the cockpit at night useless.Dome light is not working, peeps.

hi allafter watching a few videos on real life 737s i came to the conclusion i was missing a certain roar in the flight deck of the NG when taking off, climbing and in cruise, so i decided to look around for some other sound files i could find and i found this download titled 737PKG on the avsim library by Des Braban, i must say im quite impressed by these sounds and it sounds so much better than the PMDG ones, (no disrespect to PMDG)i strongly suggest you give these a go and tell me what you think!

Hi,Just thinking whether PMDG has thought X-Plane flight sim as one of their development platform, I've got it installed on my computer and it definitely is a step above in certain aspects than MSFS. I wish PMDG does some study on this and may be release a NGX for X-Plane as well.The cool things about X-Plane are it's ability to simulate airflow over aerodynamic surfaces, something they term "Blade Element Theory", meaning everything from Jet Engines to Wings lift, everything gets simulated as close to the real world. Over that, it's got some pretty nice atmosphere simulation as well. I flew C172 and the feel of it is so realistic.www.x-plane.orgBhaskar

Hi everyone I could really use dome help with this. OK here's the deal, I have the PMG 747X which I absolutely love. I've put off asking for help because I really wanted to figure this out for myself. For the past couple of weeks, I've read the product manual as well as several tutorials, but for some reason I cannot save the flight plans I create in the FMC. After inputting all the info, I select the RTE Copy then get the message "COMPLETE" but nothing happens after that. I also try typing a new name for my flight plan but that doesn't work either, so if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. thanksRafael

Hey guys,I recently had a #2 manifold failure in the AIR system. The AIR cue blinked a few times, and a few consequences came up (bottom pic). The controller reconfigured by basically shutting the #2 system down. So far so good, but after the reconfiguration was finished, all the messages disappeared, and the light in the air cue button disappeared (top pic). Had I not noticed the air cue blinking for those few seconds, I would never have known something was wrong until I checked the AIR page. The consequences page and status page were both blank. Selecting tail anti ice had similarly strange effect. The valve opened, but the flow line remained white, and no error messag…

As I have still not found the time to complete my study of all the MD11-manuals, I have sometimes problems finding some items of the NORMAL PROCEDURE LIST: e.g. where is the OXY QTY/LINE PRESS SWITCH? Where the EMERGENCY PRESSURE CONTROL KNOB or the DILUTION CONTROL LEVER (MD11 FCOM, page NP.20.15) ???Richard

I am having fun with the MD-11 for FS9. Best PMDG release so far. Especially because it isn't performance hungry.During my last flight from Astana to Shanghai i had the random failures on and got myself a failing Pack 3.
