ok just got this md11 and from the get go, while using the load manger it froze, and also widescreen seems not to work at all i send it to fsx, but looks just like the reg one. or am i missing something?

This is the reason why I love the long hauls over the North Atlantic with the MD11 and Ultimate taffic. It was from Stuttgart EDDS to New York KJFK with todays actual NAT tracks.This was on track B which was MALOT 5420N 5530N 5540N 5450N CARPE REDBY....UT brings really some more realism to long haul flights...all this aircrafts (Delta, Air France, BA etc.) were heading westbound on my track. This pictures were taken between MALOT and 5420N and beween 5420N and 5540N. Has anybody had more on his TCAS display over the North Atlantic? I asked this question in the HiFi Sim forum and Jim said I needed to ask PMDG. It is my understanding that there is a conflict with PMDG aircraft that are using ASA. Jim in HiFi indicated that it was a problem that would have to be resolved by PMDG. Is this something that will be resolved in the near future? I currently use ASX. Since I fly B747-400X most of the time I do not want to purchase a new weather program and have problems.Bill

Hello Sirs,I made something wrong and put my brakes to RTO rather than Min at landing...After landing, brakes won't disconnect, is that normal ? Now I am posting there, and as I was in contact with ATC on IVAO, I just disconnected but maybe it was related to brakes temperature ?Thank you for giving me a clue ;)Regards.

Hello there,Flying Russia (again), I tried to force the plane with a FL348 (10600m) then FL360 (entering poland) using the SFL... But the second climb happens immediatly, like if the FMS ignore the /SFL command...Look at the screenshots below (I fly FL348 with a FL360 climb ahead on the route all the time).I even tried to force the Flight Level without success :Is this normal or do I made a mistake ?Regards.

Hi,I have managed to get most flightdeck switches working with my hardware, however I cant seem to get the Autobrake assigned. Is there no option for this? My only current option is to bring up the forward pedestal on another monitor and use the mouse.I've always wondered why PMDG seem to be lite on the available assignments compared to companys of far less quality, I'm sure there is a good reason for this but I cant figure it out.Thanks Rob

Does anyone know a way to manually calculate the required runway length for takeoffs, throwing in altitude, temp, weight, and all the other ingredients? I know it may only give an estimate but that would still be good enough for me. The primary aircraft I use is the 747-400. Thanks for the help guys!!Richard

:( I had lots of approaches at several airports around the world saved - to practice approaches both for 747 and MD11 - after a long time I tried to load one and it failed. Aircraft was in the air - you could hear the engines, but the aircraft itself was COLD and DARK !!!I tried the next - same result.I am almost sure that this was the first try after the MD11 patch . . . I cannot understand why also the 747 savings would not work anymore ?Any explanations ?

I recently bought PMDG 747-400 Queen of the skies, however i cant seem to install it. I put the disc on and the first screen loads up where you can install the aircraft and additional liveries. When i click on the install PMDG 747-400 button, nothing happens. I have have tried browsing the disc and clicking on the exe file in the setup folder but that still has not worked .}( .I have tried putting the disc in my DVD drive as well but to no avail.I cant seem to get it to work. This is the first PMDG product i have bought so i believe there should be no issues with other PMDG programs.I am currently using FS9 and i do meet teh system requirements for this program.Thanks in …

Does not specifically affect the MD-11: Does it matter what RPM the engine has when engaging reverse thrust? I can imagine that when cutting throttles at 50' and below the time remaining until touchdown would be insufficient for the engines to spool down to ground idle, so when reversers get deployed the turbine would still be at a reasonable RPM...Andreas

Hello again,Flying today and all other days, I noticed that at first activation of the AP, after take-off, I generally get AP2 active and have to press a second time AP to revert back to AP1... Is that normal ? Should not be the AP1 the first to be activated ?Regards.

I clicked on your "Specials:RecentChanges" page and then clicked on "Maps", and I got a window telling to download an "installer. exe" from "mainscan4.com", which I cancelled, but it came up again and refused to go, I tried to shutdown the browser but could not so I had to shutdown using the main switch, when I rebooted it came up again without me selecting the browser so I had to shutdown again, now I have to reformat and reinstall my OP again...........I am not very pleased........ :(
