HyeThe bird is so nice but pity as we cannot have all the 3 screens zoomed like 747 and 737 ? PFD ND and EICAS ? as each time we zoomed we have only one in the left side that open larger ? PMDG team is it big big work to make just that available or maybe is there any link or way you can give to us to make it available if is not too much ask ? as really all is nice and great but little disappointing not to have the ability to get a better view on these essential screens ? maybe a little update possible ? Ignoring the fact that the aircraft has no nose gear doors, I was having fun. Untill I am overhead Canarsie inboound 13L at Kennedy, then black screen and crash to desktop. Seems a few problems are occuring for everybody.Good luck in fixing her guys. I am uninstalling and going to quietly await a fixed product. Matt

Morning guys,I've just installed the md11 for fs9 under vista64 and this is the message i got while trying to load the loadmanager:The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.Then after a quick look at event log:Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8"E:\Flight Simulator 9\PMDG\MD11_LoadManager.exeI'm not an os/vista nerd and it all sounds like chinese to me.FS9 runs as admin, patch 9.1 is there.A few friends of mine have exactly the same issue with the load manager.Could someone heal this frustration …

I like to fly long hauls in real time and will take off and climb to cruise altitude and let Otto fly unattended. My top of descent pause box is checked in case I don't get back in time. Sometimes the pause is bypassed and I end up over flying the destination and find my MD11 wandering around the sky 100's of miles off course. I know this has happened in the RW (crew falling asleep) but I don't really want to simulate it. This only happens in the MD11. The feature has been working every time in the 747. It is a random event, sometimes it works fine. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.Thanks John KSEA

Hi,Just successfully installed MD11 for FS9. When I load up the plane, can see cockpit fine until Fixes/routes box finishes loading and then screen goes lack and FS9 restarts itself.No problems with MD11 for FSX nor any problems with any other PMDG product on FS9.I do not have a 'no cd crack'.Any advice would be appreciated.Renzo2.7 processor4gb Ram8800 Nvidea graphics card

Hello allI'm wondering if PMDG also modelled a so called "altitude bracket" which you can define in the VERT REV page of the MCDU? Let's say you want to cross a waypoint XXXXX between FL260 and FL200. Now can you enter this into the VERT REV page? Logically you should be able to enter "FL260" into the "At or below"-bracket and "FL200" into the "At or above"-field. Unfortunately that doesn't work for me.On the ND you should see -FL260/+FL200 next to the waypoint (see picture in attachment).Thanks for the helpMichae

Does anyone know where I might be able to see a fuel schematic for the MD11? I've been reading the fuel section of the PMDG systems manual but I'm struggling to get my head around it and I really think a diagram, showing a layout of the tanks etc might help.Any ideas?Regards,Martin Neep

Hi, I installed the MD-11 FS9 version today and the aircraft(all variants) loaded properly. However, I installed several liveries after rebooting my pc, but when I loaded the aircraft of each livery, the display screens were black, and many of the VC textures were gone. Yes, I made sure the three liveries were for the FS9 version. Even the house liveries had the same problems. So, I unistalled the MD-11, rebooted and reinstalled the aircraft. The house liveries loaded just fine this time with everything working properly as well as cockpit displays...even the VC textures were back. Now the issue is reinstalling the additional liveries. Very often while landing in spot view, the smoking effect from the tires/brakes continues all the way to stop. Is there a way to control this, or turn it off?Thanks.

hi all, sorry to be a nuiscance again.. i am trying to feel my way with the fs9md11 by using the tutorial. the first stumbling block is i cannot find gate D50 or gate 150. i have the aerosoft london addon airport installed and i have been up and down the runway/starting point like a yo yo but without success. this means i cannot use another gate as it will confuse the IRS in the tutorial sequence of instructions. i did find the gate212 for the fsx version but this will not do. anyone from pmdg got an answer. many thanks. richard welsh.

Hi all, just wondering what others have as the setting to get the best appearand of the 2D panel for PMDG MD-11 in FSX.

I am on my second read through the documentation and my first flight last night went smoothly except for one thing.I set the Alt to standard when passing the Transition alt but on the way back down I get a amber msg saying QNH disabled or something like that?? I'm sure I have missed something simple in the docs.. Can I set the QNH in the FMC like the A3xx?CheersRob

I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to set up a AT disconnect for the MD-11.I've tried so many things my head is in a spin.I've entered a key command in the MD-11 and the same command in FSX CONTROLS. But still nothing works.Could someone please run thru tis STEP by STEP?Thank you,Jerry

Hi,I do have a similiar problem which has been recently posted. The MD-11F never initializes the panel. The passenger version works just perfect.Any recommendation?Regards, Jens

Hi Folks,I've been flying the MD-11 (FSX on WINXP) for about a month now and it is a fantastic product! And I thought the FSX 747 was great (still is!) but the MD-11 is over-the-top! :( Anyway, that's why I noticed that whenver flying a passneger MD-11 at night...the passenger (cabin) windows are dark. This doesn't happen with the 747 - it lights-up nicely with random shades open and closed. I've hunted every setting/menu/panel and I am unable to figure out how to get the cabin lit.So...can anyone instruct me on how to light up the cabin windows? :( Thanks in advance!

Hi there chaps:Probably the 737 is the last thing on most minds at the moment, however, I have a question to ask as I attempt to master the aircraft after lots of long hauling in the 747. Admittedly I have only tried this at one airport/approach.Coming in to YMHB Hobart for the runway 12 ILS, I press the APP button on the MCP and engage both autopilots and the PFD annunciates VOR/LOC and GS green as I would expect. However, the APP button does not light up. Moreover the problem is the autothrottle: it reverts to the ARM annunciation and refuses to maintain speed, even if I switch it on and off and try and press the SPD button on the MCP. On the 744, this would cause …
