Hi all,The MD-11 is a great plane to fly.I always flew in dawn to dusk , but never at night.Till my surprise I ran into the following issue :After take off bit by bit I loose the panel fucntionality , so the buttons/switches/rotaries stop responding.Also the flight displays become static and no values change anymore.The aircraft , however, is flying the direction/speed/altitude I dialed in on the mcp , before verything stopped responding.Surely this has to do with the heavy load the pc gets :- REX clouds- ASA running- VRI mcp combo running- VRI CDU running- VRI Hat Track running- Scenery very detailed ( and also UTX Eu , ST Eu Landclass , airport addons ) - the FS view s…

Hello- up until recently I have had no problems at all with the J41 but it seems more and more often I am having this problem. I am having with abuot every other flight now and there doesnt seem to be any commanality to it. Normally when I take off, I will hand fly the plane til I am following the course on the map mode and am at a 170kt climb. I will then engage the AP in NAV and IAS mode. Well now, when I turn on NAV mode, the green CAP light comes on, but the planes starts a turn to the north and continues due north until I either engage HDG mode or turn off the AP and hand fly it. Could somebody please repost the FSUIPC weather smoothing settings that were in the "747 swaying back and forth" thread. The screen caps are no longer available. I was using those settings with no problems but lost them when I did a full reinstall. I would like to say thanks in advance.Rick Faulk

I finally installed the actual RTM Windows 7 Ultimate x64 yesterday and I'm happy to confirm no issues with any of our products in either FS9 or FSX.I had a strange issue with FSX itself, but I think it may have been related to UAC and a reinstall using Run as Administrator fixed it. Par for the course with the Vista/7 architecture.Performance is very good, on par with XP to me and definitely better than Vista was.I'd recommend basically everyone upgrade to 64 bit Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate when the general public release happens October 22nd. It's a very good OS and will solve most of the OOM/CTD issues people have had using 32 bit XP and Vista.

I recently downloaded this program for the cabin announcements and I am a little confused on how to install the cabin announcement portion. I'm trying to install it into PMDG aircraft and I'm wondering where in the panel config to put it, since there section in the panel cfg for all the windows the 2D panel has. I only fly with the VC anc I don't see a any other guages in the VC section of the panel cfg. If anyone has the cabin announcement piece of AutoEnvironment working in the PMDG aircraft or knows how to do pls let me know. Thnx!!Richard

So I recently purchased a new PC with a Intel Quad Core Q9550 2.83 GHz and 4.0 GB 64 Bit Ops, Ge Force GTX 275 and was wondering how to get the most out of it and FSX. I'm currently running the 747X at about 20-23 FPS in the VC and overall am pretty happy, but could always be happier. I went to NVIDA's NZONE and looked at their recomondations but the GCards were a yr or two older. So I just wanted to see if there was another site where I may be able to get more FPS with some tweaking of settings or does anyone have a particular settings overall that they wouldn't mind sharings. I've seen allot of people helping each other out on some of the tough issue like the FMS problem, but very little Dev input. Is it just me? I guess maybe I'm just paranoid after what I experienced with Leonardo and the MD-80 disaster. LOL.

HI PMDG TeamI just want to know, why do I get a fatal error message everytime I close FSX after flying the J41? Hello captains,can anyone help with getting the most out of my rig, at the moment I must fly with all graphics set to low and is not ideal as there are no buildings, trees ect. if i change the settings its like watching a slide show. Hi simmers,I have a problem with my MD11 PAX in FS9. (using Windows XP)I can't get the simulated refueling under "FS ACTIONS SHORTCUTS" to work.When I select the option "REFUELING" under "FS ACTION SHORTCUTS", I only get the message "REFUELING NOT ALLOWED". I tried everything (Fuel system on manual / on automatic, external power on/off etc.) nothing works.The documentation does not help, I scanned all documents for refueling: The possible message "REFUELING NOT ALLOWED" is mentioned nowhere. Hi there,I just purchased your MD-11. I also owned your 747 a few years ago and there is nothing to complain about your products. Just great work. The only thing to complain (with a :( ) about is the bandwith of your download server. Man, these days the internet can handle more than 70 kb/s... Hi Guys, There has been some debate (amongst our group) as to what the following are and I'd appreciate it someone could clear things up. - that ticking sound that comes on once you switch the power on (sounds like a fuel pump), what is it? what is it for?- the vspeeds for landing, I tried to searching the manual last night as to how the vspeeds should be used when landing. How should it be entered into the speed tape, - target speed first, (magenta)- Vref (blue)- V2 - incase of go around (white)- Vyse - incase of single engine (green)Is that correct? Due to conflicts I'm having with another add on, I'm thinking about uninstalling the FSX acceleration pack and then installing FSX SP2 instead. Question is, will this cause problems with any of PMDGs add ons?? Would I need to install SP2 then re install PMDG's aircraft after that?Cheers

Hi everybody ...today I found some extremely nice 3D lights, called volume lights, which are freeware! Unfortunately, the author adapted those only for the default aircraft, as well as for the PMDG 737 (and some other, rather useless stuff). Is anybody here, who has the know how to adapt them to the PMDG 747 and MD - 11 ? would give those an even better look !Thanks in advance!regardsMats

The jetstream is great !!! If there will be an update with this fixes will be outstanding. core i7 920 (oc 3.5) Corsiad 1066 X 6 gigs Nvidia GTX 260 890 Mb Running a 22" Monitor @ 1680x1050 Vista x64 FSX Sp2 REX 2.0 FTX PMDG JS4100 Ok, so that what I have. Could it be possible that I am bottle necked? For example, in the Spot plane view I can get seriously like 115 FPS (no problem), but soon as I go into the VC I get a drop to about 22 FPS when look at say FTX's Avalon Airport. Same with the 2D panel, I can get crazy High frame rates. I obviously know that the VC requires more "power" but this much? I don' even have my sliders high. This ####### me off, I built this computer so that I'd never have to worry about this crap, and yet, still I do. SO, if it wher…
